Still going for Tashigi as out of women who are perhaps the thing for them or type of interest, Zoro only show most emotion to her given she reminds him of his childhood friend, so feel like Oda didn't just do that for just sake, but reasons behind an connection between the two one way or another. Can't be anyone in the crew as Oda states he doesn't want crew to be couple with one another, so unless he change his mind, Idk if either of females in the crew at all.

Can you quote Oda on that?

I don't ship Zoro with anyone from the crew either, but I only remember Oda jokingly answering "They're in love... WITH ADVENTURE" to if there would be romance in the manga, not especifically among the crew.

It was in interview years ago. He states he doesn't do romance with anyone on he crew and doesn't focus on that, but he will do romance outside of the crew though.

Given how far we been in the series and no notable romance with anyone, Oda is keeping it not in the crew from what we seen, but he is fine giving love interests outside of the crew as shown.

It's from back at the beginning of Skypiea. There was that scene that Robin, as a newcomer, trolled the whole crew except Zoro one by one to win their acceptance and then ended up giving a gentle smile to Zoro, who was a bit disturbed by it. Zoro x Robin ship intensified back then and despite there not being any other moment between them for almost 20 years some people haven't moved from there.
Really? People saw that and concluded Robin has a crush on Zoro? I think her gentle smile was just her trying to be sweet to everyone. After one, she was one of their enemies, so she would try to look reassuring. Zoro was a bit disturbed not because he's nervous, but because he didn't trust her yet (as in, "Don't dare you smile to your former enemies like that!").

Do you guys think Zoro has surpassed the scabbards?
They are pretty insane in the latest chapter. Will Zoro be able to mess yonkos/admirals up eos?

I think that if he hasn't yet, he will surpass them midfight. I expect him (and the rest of the strawhats) to grow quite a bit through the experience of taking down the Beast Pirates.

Yes. The scabbards aren't even the strongest swordsmen in the world. They only are potentially the strongest in this arc.

RS challenging Kaido to this degree has everything to do with teamwork.

I think Zoro isn't as strong as Denjiro, Ashcraft, or Sulong Inu/Neku, but stronger then the rest. Just an opinion tho.

If he can prove himself this arc I could easily put him above them

It appeared Kyoshiro could easily handle Zoro.

It seems the 5 that stayed in the past are more-or-less equal. So all of them should also be capable of defeating Zoro.

Kin'emon was crapping his pants when Zoro cut Pica in half. I think the same would go for Raizo or O-Kiku.

Pretty Scabbards are stronger than Zoro by far from what we saw Kyoshiro who was easily besting him and he was holding back from what we shown. Zoro will be stronger than them, but Idk in this same arc especially showing how his fights has shown him more against him thinking that. Though future arcs it can maybe lead that way.

So you acknowledge that Denjiro not going "Oden Nitoryu" style is holding back? Will you then finally acknowledge that Zoro not going Santouryu is also holding back?

Still skill in about swords, not the numbers of weapons. We been through this and this lesson been taught many times. By your logic Hachi is strongest swordsmen cause he need all his limbs to hold a sword. Skill is the factor overall, not your number strength otherwise Zoro wouldn't lose to someone with one sword like Kyoshiro to his 2 sword style when they fought. Though clearly Zoro was using a lot of his power while Kyoshiro was just playing around clearly.

Please don't twist words out to your agenda, but do admit that now it's all about skill, not the number of weapons you hold. As Oden teaching them is them needing skill for it overall and they are showing it.

My logic has never been about "number of swords", so please don't purposefully misunderstand me.

We have just seen this same chapter the scabbards, Denjiro included, "get more serious" by using 2 swords, but it's not "because of the number of swords", but because they're imitating the strong style of Oden (and probably getting more motivated by doing so).

It's all about style, mastery and motivation, and some styles grant more of those three things to each person. It just so happens that Nitoryu is the preferred style of the scabbards and Santouryu the absolutely preferred style of Zoro. I thought that after tha manga literally threw you that to the face you would acknowledge it. You don't? Then I'm not going to discuss this again.

That's what I mean, It's skill they learn Oden's style. not number of weapons. Though doesn't mean they aren't strong using one sword as shown prior in hurting and blocking Kaido's attack, so we can't say one style is above the other as it's the same skill on either one. Your missing my point entirely and haven't really answer the statement of the situation. If your not going to be honest, then we got nothing to talk here clearly at all.

It's not that "one style is stronger just because", Oden Nitoryu in this case is stronger to them, not to anyone, and that's because that's what the narrative just told us.

In Zoro's case, his nitoryu may not be stronger than his ichiryu (there's reason to say it is, because his first long-range slashes got stronger when he used nitoryu than when he used ichiryu, but it's not something definitive), however, he is stronger using santoryu than using any other style, not because "THREE SWORDS ARE MORE SWORDS SO HE'S STRONGER", but because he has shown throughout the whole manga that it's his preferred style, the one he adopts when he's serious and the one he has the wider array of techniques and abilities with. His ichiryu and his nitoryu and inferior for that reason, not because "less swords bad".

Skill on each of them as he can beat opponents even down to lesser blades otherwise Oda wouldn't justify his fights with Daz Bones and Zombie Ryuma if that was the case. Yes he likes using 3 swords more, but honestly his skill is on equal level on each of them. I am just saying focus on skill as his power as most he get best of his weapons. Neither are inferior than the other as it's Zoro who is the one giving the power to make his blades work (unless Enma which is magic sword that anyone can easily control with Haki). I am not debating that isn't his favorite style, but just saying on skill level is still same on either. fight history push that narrative especially even in serious struggle like Daz Bones one for example.

As I said, I thought current chapter would have helped you see the matter in a different light, if it doesn't, I will avoid going over all of it again.

I did see it, but doesn't change that Scabbards were still able to damage and block prior to using 2 sword style, so not really changing it as it's more enforcing skill being into them more than not.

Zoro is stronger using three-sword style because it's how he fights, and he has wider array of techniques to use. One-sword style gives him fewer techniques, so while he'd still be strong, he'd not be as strong. Has Zoro ever mentioned being uncomfortable in any way with fighting with less than three swords?

I mean, if Mihawk tried fighting two-sword style, he wouldn't do as well because he's not used to it and can't use his full strength, especially when he uses two hands to wield his black blade. Luffy's a great fighter, but if he got into a swordfight with Zoro, he'd lose simply because he has no idea how to use a sword. Same if a weapon is involved, or if Luffy uses martial arts.

About that specific point: Zoro has gotten progressively more comfortable at handling ichi and nitoryu, despite how utterly weak he was at those styles back when the series started (remember when the Nyaban brothers stole two of his swords and he suddenly couldn't even beat those two fodders).

The rest of the post just supports your point so feel free to skip it.

As he has grown stronger, both as a swordsman and just physically, he has also naturally become very strong with one and two swords now, and he has also been forced by the circumstances to win certain fights with only said amount (vs Daz Bones his other two swords went flying and vs Ryuuma he only had two swords on him) and he has proven that he's "strong" with any amount.

But, even then, as he has naturally grown stronger with ichiryu and nitoryu, he has become even more of a beast with three swords, his main style that he always polishes out the most, in which not only does he have stronger techniques, but also a whole lot more of versatility, and it's the style he always chooses to fight seriously for a reason (together with his bandana, but I can't explain that).

About the point on the Shishi Sonson technique that has previously brought up: It's true that the technique has more cutting power than anything Zoro had up to that point, but that was just an iai technique in which he put everything he had behind the cut. Very powerful finishing technique but not something over which to base a whole fightstyle. A good addition to his arsenal but very limiting when compared to his santouryu.

He did show later on a nitoryu iai, so I wonder if some day he'll come up with a santouryu iai (I hope not).

I am aware of all that, but just stating it's still his skill which make him strong on swords and he is as good on each style while he does favor 3 swords style. Just saying from fights we seen on Daz Bones where he was pushed to his limits and full power at the time, but finish his opponent in one sword manner, not the 3 sword style. Meaning Oda sees him giving his all on any style he uses and just like 3 sword style since that more his favorite, but doesn't mean one sword and two sword he isn't giving his all and are in equal in his skill as the same.
