Something is off about Orochi freezing when Zoro attacked him... when he had that meeting with CP0, it appeared that Orochi was not just incredibly powerful, but also fearless.

So your saying Zoro won't come fight him anymore after this? Doubt it. Zoro is vengeful when you go after his allies or innocent people. Zoro vs Orochi is inevitable to happen seeing how he went for strike above anything else going on around him.
Well, if Oda wanted to, Zoro could learn the style in the fight. Or Zoro loses now, and comes back stronger later in the arc. He needs to be tested so he can get stronger, otherwise he'll be so far behind Luffy lol.
But how would it mesh? Because I can't see Zoro dropping his three swords style, unless samurai/Wano style actually improves it. He likely needs more power and probably speed.

Idk, I was more suggesting he doesn't need to 'train' to pick up a skill. But I suppose with something like sword styles they should take more practice than a simple power up.
Zoro can improve in many area, the obvious one being haki.
Well Zoro did show interest in Kinemon's foxfire style. In a scenario where Zoro has to fight Prometheus, Zeus and Napolen for instance, maybe one sword can learn the foxfire style and attack prometheus? just a thought...
If u ask me, we might see an evolved version of asura by the end of Wano.
Orochi's definitely a disappoinment so far. I know many of you saw this coming, but I for one would've expected the Shogun from Wano to be the strongest samurai. Now Kyoshiro fits that label.
nevertheless, Mythical zoans are perhaps amongst the strongest DF abilities one can get. They also have one additional power other than just their zoan ability so lets wait and see if that helps Orochi seem like a potential opponent. If that ability is something like becoming as hard as diamond, i still see him as a worthy opponent to Zoro.

There is also if it is based on the legend of Orochi, he is pretty immune to cuts especially cutting off his heads as more grow in his place each time to replace it. Zoro's strike was fast, so perhaps he had no time to transform to use his ability.
We just have to wait and see about him as a powerful DF like a Mythical Zoan of all things like Marco's, Oda wouldn't waste it as one-shot or fodder material like that.
I like that idea King Moe. Hopefully Oda doesnt waste a mythical DF ability. Maybe Orochi was strong at a point but has become cocky since being backed by Kaido. Lets see how it ends.
I think none of the above. Kyoshiro is one of the top opponents for Zoro in this arc, top opponent from Shoguns side and the final one will most likely be someone from Kaido's side. I see Shogun's forces being defeated before they take on Beast Pirates.
If Zoro trains anything in this arc, I think it will be Kinemon's style to cut fire and possibly the ability how to make permanent black blades.

I don't think he'll learn it if Kinemon does join, but can any other swordsman use fire style? Could be unique only to Kinemon like how ice and lullaby styles are to Brook.

THe lullaby style isn't a sword attack is it? I dont remember. THe ice attack is thanks to his DF ability, but Kinemon's attack isnt related to that. The fact that he showed interest could be an indicator that it can be learned, dont you think?
I'm joking, but isn't the lullaby associated with his swordsmanship, or has he used it without his sword? Did not know ice was related to Brook's devil fruit though, I thought it was part of his skill.
It is an indicator, but it's not like Zoro mentioned it again. Of course though, doesn't mean that he didn't try to learn, especially if he and Kinemon were going to Wano together.
I'm assuming there's not enough time or relevancy to explaining all that when they'll probably appear every once in a while or just once. Plus, does it really matter?
I think it'd probably be Zoro? He looked skilled enough to beat Ryuuma where Brook failed, or was that because of strength?
Doubt any of that, Zoro's main final battle is the 2nd strongest guy of the arc and that is King, but even as i say that I still cant picture Zoro being strong enough to do it.
the thing I find weird with zoro fighting orochi is that will leave kinemon and the other retainers with no purposes
i felt like the SHP+law should be focused to fight another pirates and the kozuki family samurai should fight the orochi family army

I think there are more samurais of Kyoshiro's caliber, the two that were shown with Kyoshiro at Orochi's banquet. Hard to guess still who will fight who but some of the retainers still might end up fighting Orochi's army. At least those two with Kyoshiro should be strong and I hoped that at least 2-3 among the Oniwaban are a serious challenge but so far only Daikoku looks to be able to use his brain, Fukurokuju aside...
