WorstGen. Where did you have that debate?

It started at reddit and carried over to my anime club here at my college lol

We started discussing Code Geass and it erupted into tanking the leadership abilities of each strawhat lol

I tried Worstgen @nik87 it is literal trash. The worst OP forum sight I have ever been on. On it less than a week and I just never went back.

New forum needing members but there should be limits anyway. I had to put several people on ignore just to not see their trash talk anymore.
It can be very active but mostly Z vs S unconstructive bickering...
But oh well, no platform is perfect.

He is obviously 1st Mate! Lol

There is apparently a large fraction of One Piece fans that vehemently deny it... like WTF?



The arguement is that he isnt the first choice to take over crew operations whereas Sanji, Nami, and even Jinbe have shown more leadership. And while that may be true, Zoro is still 1st Mate of the SH's.

1st Mate position doesnt need to be about leadership. It's about being the Righthand of their captain.

I had this exact same argument a long time ago... but Jinbe is a bizzare new addition. Dude hasn't even traveled with the strawhats yet.

Thing is, Zoro is the only one who only ever answers to Luffy.

Wasnt my intention to debate it. It is unofficial title, Oda never set it as a definitive and I dont have a problem with it. It works fine for my headcanon.

Headcannon,Head cannon, is just an personal perspective on what has been shown..But it's a title and role Zoro has assumed throughout the manga..Other captains and characters have referred to him as such..and it's justthe role the role he plays, within the crew..All the members play a specific role that is unnamed within the crew.....

How'd Zoro get this position or is thought of as the VC..well it's similar to Roger & Rayleigh..Zoro was the 1st member of the crew, a strong and reliable one..Going foward he always took out the enemies #2..& after the captain was the 1st to be given a bounty.

In no way was I being an asshole, unless you read it that way. I was simply explaining Zoro's role and position.

Being the first mate doesn't exclude other occupations.

For example Aladine was both doctor and first mate of the Fishman Pirates.

Because when Luffy gives orders to Zoro, it's usually to do with combat. Others answer to Luffy too when he's serious and gives orders, but Zoro often gets it because he's either close to Luffy in terms of position and/or can fight.

Nah I meant that he doesn't answer to anyone else other than Luffy. Others are usually put in situations where they have to follow someone else's lead.
