Hey guys, this might be a dumb question haha. Considering that Zoro has Enma now, what are the two other swords that he has? We know that he doesn’t have Shisui.

Sanji though has been below top 3 multiple times so it is possible someone overtakes him
Nah Sanji like Zoro only have his spot change rarely, though would surpassed him as growth of Stealth Black/Soba-Mask given inspiration it is from that is big in Japan ;).

I assume you're talking about someone overtaking Zoro, in which who do you think would and in what scenario? It's definitely possible as I mentioned Shanks as my example but it's still unlikely that Zoro's popularity is overtaken by many other characters.
Law got over Zoro. So doesn't mean it has to be Yonko like Shanks to take him as just more notable characters to work with.

He's main target right now is Kaido so next chapter he'll probably make his move probably to stop Kaido's mass or he could Stop BM and her Napoléon who'll try to slash Luffy while he's busy with Kaido.
He might also not reopen Oden's scares but slash something new

Given he didn't do anything to Yonkos and waited for Luffy, think Zoro will get stalled by Big Mom and face her. He won't do much, but at least try keep her away so Luffy can face Kaido along Killer backup to come later.

Law got over Zoro because lots of girls find him hot. I don’t see that happening for anyone else.

Okay, while I don't like Zoro >< Robin pairing, at least I can see why people ship them. Pudding, though, have they ever even meet each other?

ran across "zoro after marineford" vid on youtube and it got me thinking-

Zoro training under mihawk to get stronger was lazy writing. Like, there was nowhere else in the entire world where he could've been sent to help him improve? Besides it being lazy, it ruined the dynamic between zoro/mihawk (...it also doesn't help with the fact that zoro seems to be the only one in this "race to become the best").

It feels like now...

mihawk has to die with zoro avenging his death for zoro to surpass him.

Like, they can still have their fight, but the tension (like luffy meeting shanks again) is gone.

I'd say it ruined zoro's character but it was pretty "flat" to begin with.:smoke

My biggest problem with Zoro honestly. It didn't make sense and was a cop out really.

Zoro vs Mihawk is not personal, so imo one avenging the other is odd.

Zoro wants to be the greatest swordsman since we learned his ambition.

Mihawk wants a challenge, and after meeting Zoro he anticipates Zoro could be the one.

None of what happened in the timeskip is shown to conflict with the above. There is no loss to the narrative Oda set up for Zoro.

Lazy? Maybe, but I think Zoro lowering his head to Mihawk was pretty damn epic too.

Who would you send Zoro to, if you changed his timeskip destination? Rayleigh, Shanks, Vista?? Then after Zoro beats Mihawk, does he need to defeat the substitute teacher??? Oda's set up is like some old school martial arts movie where the pupil needs to defeat the OG master to be the GOAT.

Better swordsmanship training than under the strongest swordsman in the world? Or at least similar? Considering Rayleigh was taken and Wano was off limits for more than one reason? More so than just Wano, all of the New World was off limits.

This might just be me but I honestly loved how Oda wrote their conversation for Mihawk to accept him under his tutelage. It all worked pretty well.

From your comment I get that you didn't like Zoro nor his goal way before the timeskip, so for someone who doesn't like the character in the first place it's normal to also dislike scenes that are "pure Zoro".

I don't think I'm the only person who's still hyped for Zoro vs Mihawk. There's no need for emnity between them for it to have tension or be interesting. It was never personal at all between them in this case, and it was not supposed to be, so I see no reason why Mihawk should be killed and avenged to "recover" a kind of personal tension that was never supposed to be there in the first place. All this time, Mihawk simply happens to be the theoretically the strongest, and thus who Zoro wants to defeat. The kind of relationship there's between them or them having become friends shouldn't change anything.

Why not? Vista is one of the top swordsman in the world and Rayleigh was a top tier character during that time. Would've made more sense than Mihawk.

Why does it make more sense? Or why does going to Mihawk not make as much sense?

I wouldn't have minded Vista as he could have talked about where the hell does the WSS title come from, since he seems like a man of more words than Mihawk, but I personally prefer it the way it took place. He was trained by the strongest and we got to see a bit of his daily shichibukai life before his title was rebuked a couple of arcs later.
It served as a way to learn more about his character, who's a more important character than Vista, and I don't think it damaged their relationship nor his portrayal.

Mihawk drinking wine with a white shirt is the best Mihawk.

Because you're supposed to surpass this dude.

Mihawk said he'd wait for him and than it was disappointing because Zoro after all this time couldn't make him flinch. Training with someone like a legend like Rayleigh or a top-tier like Vista could've been a better setup for the eventual rematch. Vista could've used more screen time and we could've gotten some history. Also, Vista would've been a nice stepping stone before Mihawk.

Even Mihawk laughs at the idea of training the one who'll end up killing him one day.

Again, this is just me. I don't want to come across like I'm Oda myself. :3c

That doesn't 'make more sense' imo, it's just an alternative scenario at best. I feel like Vista is a downgrade, big time.

Mihawk laughs and that's why Zoro's request is more great, there's an abandonment of pride that speaks volumes about Zoro's dedication to Luffy too.

Zoro's not a complex character imo but his values are very well executed by Oda and he did not diminish Zoro by pairing him with Mihawk. If anything it made Zoro's journey better because he has no contemporary rival to work against.

But it's Mihawk...........

Well.....at that time he very much did have rivals.
