Fantasy Zoro v Kaido

This is an insane theory that took a ton of research and questioning, but after days of arguing with myself, I genuinely cannot think of anybody on Wano other than Zoro & Kidd who can finish the job and kill Kaido.. and the fact of the matter is, there is far more buildup and reasoning to suggest that Zoro will be the one who land the final killing blow.

Check it out and let me know how absurd it sounds.. I'm really really sold on this theory.

Wait... Do you really think Zoro is not commander level yet? I disagree massively. Zoro didn't just showcase huge power gain when he fought multiple strong characters, but he just acquired a new sword, which he mastered already. Zoro is the most important character in this arc for that reason alone.

Luffy is definitely the most important character in this arc lmao, he'll continue to be the most important character of evey arc. Oda will never break that formula. Although I do think the Zoro shine in this arc will be bigger than any arc before. We have never had a Zoro centric arc, like Arlong Park for Nami, WCI/Baratie for Sanji, Drum Island for Chopper, etc.

I'm so sorry to debunk it, but Blackbeard will be the one who will kill Kaidou and he will take his DF. Luffy and the others will just get some serious injury on him. Especially Momonosuke, who will awaken his smile DF and he's going to wound Kaidou severly in his rage, while the others are down.

Luffy's specifically training for Kaido's scales, I think that alone is enough to believe he defeats Kaido.

Okay, gg well played. Yes, Luffy will forever be the most important character, as he is the protagonist, but in terms of "wild card" Zoro will take the price this arc. Nami, Jimbei took it against Big Mom, and Zoro will take it against Kaido.

TBH I don't expect zoro to be the one to kill kaido. There are two things to consider here:

1.-The first is how strong oden was when he confronted kaido.... The guy was a freaking monster. The manga explains that by the time oden finished his travels as a pirate he was a number of times stronger than before and had real power.... This probably isn't just the strength of a standard yonko commander, oden was definitely a league above that. However strong zoro might be, he is definitely nowhere near yonko level yet. He doesn't even have a yonko commander of any caliber to his resume.

2.- Kaido now is likely stronger than he was against oden back then. So.... one way or the other this is still an uphill battle for the strawhats in general. Kaido Nearly got owned rather comfortably by oden... Zoro will probably have it in him to cut kaido, much like how luffy will have it in him to inflict damage on kaido via punches, but zoro killing kaido seems like a tad much. Zoro likely won't even be at the level oden was back then.... I mean, oden was using those haki draining blades as a teenager.... And was a pirate for much longer than what zoro has been at this point.

If Zoro was going to kill Kaido then it would make Luffy going to Whole Cake and fighting a Yonko Commander x2, going to prison and training his Haki all for nothing. Zoro has not even shown he has what it takes to beat a Yonko Commander. All the progression so far has focused on Luffy training to catch up to a Yonkou to make it as plausible when he does beat one.

Also, I don't think all yonkou's are created equal. I think Kaido might actually be the weakest one. Do you think Oden could beat Big Mom 20 years ago? She is closer to the age of Garp and Whitebeard than to Shanks.

On Rogers ship, Oden might have been the 4th strongest after Roger, Rayleigh and Scopper.

There is a reason Moria went toe to toe with Kaido back then. He legitimately was a threat 20 years ago but he didn't do anything to get stronger since that battle which is why Luffy pre-time skip beat him.

Anyways, I think the best scenario for Zoro would be to fight King. It would be redundant for Luffy to keep fighting Commanders when he has proven he alone could beat 2 Yonkou Commanders without much rest.

Also, Wano Luffy is way stronger than Whole Cake Luffy. I don't Katakuri would stand a chance against him now.

This is what's going to happen:

Zoro is gonna fight Orochi, kick his fodder ass then slice the shit outta King.

Luffy (with help) will probably defeat Kaido. See, amongst the rookies of the worse generation, ever since that one scene in Alabasta, I've always seem Luffy, Law, and Kid as their own group of "monster trio" of captains. And they are all here in Wano right now. I can definitely see these 3 coming together to take down Kaido for Blackbeard.

Blackbeard will go lolk at the end and finish up Kaido and jack his fruit.

The Marines/CP0/Sword (yeah, remember SWORD?) will cover the whole thing up. But lots of people will be privy to the details and will not believe them and the world gov will lose more credibility. Also with their history, I can see Lucci not wanting to capture Luffy the same way Fujitora spared the hero pirates of Dressrosa. I can see Drake/SWORD doing the same. These will be the cracks in the system. High level players within the gov and marines with their own convictions and justice. The more of these guys who question the orders of the world gov within their own ranks, the less the world government becomes.

I still think its going to be Luffy 1v1 only because of all the fights he has had so far. If he has been helped, its all indirectly. Ex: Nami when he was fighting Cracker and Law when he was fighting Donflamingo.

Also, Law and Kidd has done nothing to show they can beat a Commander.

Zoro has to cut a dragon, i can see that being foreshadowed ample times to the point where its definitely a possibility.

Now whether that is Kaido or someone else remains to be seen, but if it is Kaido, it wont be enough to take him down... but i'd deifnitely like to see Zoro, Luffy, Law, Kidd in action against him.

Yea, he did, which is why some people are foreshadowing him cutting Kaido. Add to that Ryuuma's blade and now Enma, it makes sense... But even Orochi's DF is a form of dragon DF, so maybe just him.

Zoro will definitely cut kaido and it is easy to imagine a gaping wound to play into defeating kaido. But zoro definitely won't be the one to kill or defeat him.
