Summary and Preview
Before she entered high school, Minori's grandmother painted a symbol, "for protection", on her back, and told her to never to enter her high school's art gallery at night. With no further explanation, her grandmother passed away. At her new schoool, Minori learns that many students have disappeared at night in the art gallery her grandmother warned her about. She also notices that the art gallery is full of strangely unsettling paintings by a previous student who was a gifted artist, Makino Sai.
That night Minori finds herself disobeying her grandmother in an attempt to rescue her impetuous friend, Nana, from whatever might be inside. Will the two girls, and the protection provided by Minori's grandmother, be enough to keep them safe as they learn the mysteries of art gallery of imagination?
