Summary and Preview
Little Busters was originally a love adventure PC game which was later converted into a PS2 game as well. In 2006 Dengeki G's (magazine) requested the artist to start a 4-koma manga based on the game.
This manga introduces the characters from the PS2 game, including the initial 4 characters: Riki, Kyousuke, Rin and Masato. The 4 are childhood friends and go to the same high school. There, they encounter new classmates. All characters have a distinct yet bizarre personality. Each chapter of the 4-koma manga is dedicated to one character, and each quality of the characters are emphasized. For example, the stories really show that Rin puts up a strong and rude front, but she's actually a nice person who has a soft spot for cats! Her brother, Kyousuke, whimsical and selfish as he may seem, does somewhat care for his friends (and sister). Their classmate Kudd, tries really hard to be a Westerner (despite her lousy English skills), but deep down she's 100% Japanese (although she doesn't realize it).
They drive one another mad sometimes, but that's all part of high school life! This 4-koma is a light hearted comedy and introduces the characters well, so you don't have to play the game to understand. [6gatsu]
