Summary and Preview
After the last war, the whole world is in ruins. The fighting machines that humans had made have gone out of control and can no longer distinguish friend from enemy. The remaining humans mostly huddle in their shelters, hiding from the roaming robots.
This is the story of the meeting of two loners in this destroyed world. One is Lupe, a young human, who is traveling in a possibly hopeless attempt to rid the world of all fighting machines. He dreams of returning the world to the way it was before the war. The other is an android, who calls herself Moma. Though she has the perfect memory of a robot, she has the emotions of a human. Moma has lived through a hundred years of grief and sadness and does not want to have to watch anyone die again. Is there any hope for the future of their world? [tethysdust]
