Summary and Preview
Maka, powerful human-shaped monsters that gestate in the form of a flower inside human hearts, are loose in the world. When a Maka seed is planted in a human's heart, it grows for 8 days and then sprouts, killing the human. One hunter of these Maka is Satsuki. She has a Maka seed planted in her heart, but the parasite affects her differently. As long as she eats one Maka every 8 days, she will survive. One day, she 'rescues' a Maka from a group of thugs, intending to then eat him herself. However, he's so eager to be her friend that she tentatively allows him to help her hunt other Maka instead. Is this budding friendship doomed to fail? [tethysdust]
