Summary and Preview
In 1944, Japan had suffered critical military defeats, but the country was still unwilling to surrender. It was then that the military turned toward 'kamikaze' tactics. This is the story of the recruitment and training of these suicide pilots. Specifically, the soldiers featured are chosen to pilot suicide torpedos called 'Kaiten.' This is a study of the soldiers who chose not to risk their lives for their country, but to sacrifice them completely. [tethysdust]
