Summary and Preview
Humanity has finally learned the existence of aliens and has chosen the normal Nobeyama family to be the ambassador of Earth. The young son of the family, Shota, has been chosen from all of the humans in the world because he has the perfect DNA composition that will help explain the human race to other alien species. The Nobeyama family, consisting of the mom, dad, the older sister and Shota, join two of the top astronauts on the spaceship Ikaruga as they travel through space. Their 5 year mission involves visiting planets to let the aliens know of the existence of the human race. Although they may be in space, the Nobeyama family still functions as if they were still on Earth with its ups and downs. [vyc]
