Re: Weekly Shounen Jump 2009 - Discussion & TOC Talk

I really look forward to bokke san, the rest doesn't interest me that much. Muhyo to Roujie was so underestimated. The mangaka's art is kinda different to mainstream art but it's so great. Given how great muhyo is (still reading it currently), I hope bokke san can do at least better

oh and psyren is keeping itself decently safer. Glad to see it isn't last postioned anymore. Mago seems to maintain itself in the middle

Re: Weekly Shounen Jump 2009 - Discussion & TOC Talk

Does anybody know what Bokkesan is about? The picture has piqued my interest.
The preview image says, "It's finally starting! A Japanesque Suspense action picture!!" Suffice to say, it will be a suspense series. "Bokke" itself doesn't seem to mean anything, from any dictionaries I can find.

I'm really interested in Meister, because I liked Kaji Kimiya's previous works. :D

psyren is third from bottom you realise, with only love trouble and asklepios below it. that's only one better than it's recent death cycle has been, so don't breathe easy yet.

POPULARITY POLL FUCK YEAH!

also weird thing: my predictions for toriko, bakuman and inumaru dash were all ONE SPACE BELOW WHAT I SAID.

freaky

Mago's worrying me. Not happy.

Does Sket qualify as getting "center" color? It's spread is to well hidden in my mind.

Hmmm don't you forget sket? color page or not? are their positions not real then?

Because it's a weird positioning for a color, but yeah heard it somewhere else too: CP's are set positions

Mago's worrying me. Not happy.
Don't worry about mago, it hasn't been in the danger zone. It's mostly in the middle and it even had some top positions

it's been a subject of debate on a fair few occasions, but generally colour pages aren't ranked, nor are double chapters. but this positioning of the sket poll doesn't look as well spaced out as before, so i can't help but wonder if somethings amiss here....

but generally no, it isn't ranked this week

予告順

巻頭 黒子のバスケ(新連載58ページ)
センター ブリーチ、マイスター(大増27ページ)、とらぶる(重大発表)
欄外絵 ワンピ、ナルト

ムヒョが小説で続きやるみたいですね。
The next issue preview page summary, going to go with just some more info:
1. ToLoveRu's CP will have some major announcement.
-My take is either another Drama CD or Anime second season.

2. Akamaru's cover would be Toriko, the gift posters would be for Hatsukoi Limited, Bleach, Bakuman, and Gintama (anime version).

3. Muhyo might continue in the form of novel.

Re: Weekly Shounen Jump 2009 - Discussion & TOC Talk

Not really too much to say this week about the manga in the magazine: Meister starts, KochiKame is higher than usual and Sket gets a cp for it's popularity poll. Not bad...not bad at all.

BTW: I'm a bit weirded that To-Love is getting an announcement next time...mostly since many said the anime wasn't successful, I would wonder how it could get a sequel. (unless it's DVD sales were through the roof...but that mostly works for stuff like Gintama)

It's not like the anime wasn't successful, it's that the anime was bad. Like Rosario's first season. And despite that, the DVDs still sold decently well, for some reason, probably because it's an ecchi anime. Like Rosario's first season, actually. And since Rosario got a second season... >.>

I agree with your assessment on Rosario and ToLoveRu animes... I stopped watching both of them after 3~4 episodes... (Too much original scripted stuff that took out most of the "fun and light humor" aspect of the series in my opinion, and ended up with a pure fan service anime).

Why can't they just stick with what they have... Maid Guy did just fine by doing that...

Anyway, back to topic. I'm more inclined to believe it's a second Drama CD instead of animation second season.

Re: Weekly Shounen Jump 2009 - Discussion & TOC Talk

I had a peek at Himajin-sama's post over at 2ch and Neuro is NOT absent.
It's right between Mago and Psyren. : )

Happy to see Bakuman once more gaining its place in the solid center.
Looking forward to 09's new series. Hope there'll be a candidate worth a read.

Re: Weekly Shounen Jump 2009 - Discussion & TOC Talk

And regarding To-Love: somehow when ecchi is involved, they never seem to go by script. They just take the characters, use a bit of their BG and then just make it up as they go along. It would make sense if it was a Drama CD since quite a few were done for Black Cat...but who knows anymore. Besides, I saw what a disaster the To-Love anime became reading RC...even though they did say that it was respectable to Saruyama but he isn't even that major.

I wonder why To-love collapsed all of a sudden. Maybe they really are gonna end it soon.

lol, he always leave a blank in the place of Neuro, so people who are not familar with his style might get confused with this ;)

Himajin used to write it as Ne()ro or something like that, before going for OOO and XXX... untill finally it's always just a blank.

I'm not sure if he's just ignoring it or what (he used to read it, and actually posted Neuro spoiler several times like a year ago or so).

Yeah I know when I started being interested in ToC-talk and had been over at 2ch I was also confused a lot of times. XD
So I just wanted to add it for the sake of completeness. : )

I had been asking myself why he chose to write it like that, too.
But nevertheless I simply love his weird code names for most of the series... *hehe*
[+ I also love Neuro being the invisible series. IMO It totally fits the series. =D]

It's what I thought about 3 weeks ago, untill they've started an entirely new arc...

And now, I'm going with a few more months to even years, if possible :p

I'm not interesting in the basketball series. The L-like protagonist makes me intrigued.
