He is. :oh

Although yea, he should be a definite first choice. Since their really isnt an english player with his range of passing (Although lampard does come close...).

He hasn't made the first 11, it's been Barry and Gerrard most of the time and Lampard coming in sometimes. Carrick > Barry :mad

Looks like Beckham will be staying with Milan. I think that will be the right decision for him.

Agreed! But I think Liverpool has a word to say in the CL. Perhaps a full sentence :P and of course, FCPorto! (lmao)
true. I believe it's going to be Man U vs Liverpool. I cant wait tho see them play in Barclays.

Vidic and Carrick have been Man Utd's best players so far this season. Carrick deserves to be in the England team. :mad
true but dont cancel out Rooney. He's had a good amount of goals

I love Lampard and I cant wait to see England in action. They have such a solid team. My moneys on them for the WorldCup.

Quick question, is Michael Owen still playing for England?

About the next World Cup, I gotta say we'll win :]
Reason:
1994 - We won
1998 - Lost to France
2002 - We won
2006 - Lost to France
So now it's our turn to win again :XD

I think its time for you to loose against a different nation... like... hmmm... who knows... Portugal, for instance! Or the team that will qualify in our stead :'(

btw Lelo, Owen still plays for England and Newcastle, although he's been (like he always was) pursued by injuries.

Nah Brazil ain't going to win, because a Africa country(Go Nigeria) is going to take it next. Africa got to represent this time around, we got to win it for the first time on our home court.

Man i can't wait for the World Cup. I'm going to watch just about every damn game, like i did the last time.

Scolari has been sacked

Got to feel sorry for him in a way. He never got the level of support Rannieri and Mourinho got. Look at what he got told when he wanted to buy Robinho

Sacking Mourinho was a mistake. Who are they going to get now?

damn skip it. It time for the Super Eagles to spread their wings and take it home for Africa. Lol. Go Eagles.
I don't know. Looking at your group you've got Tunisia and Mozambique to contend with. Nigeria may struggle to qualify.

Looking at the rest of the African groups, I reckon Cameroon should cruise Group A unless Morocco learn to get results away from home. Egypt will rape the competition in Group C and Ghana should edge it in Group D. And Ivory Coast should be done by game 4.

Gah! I can't wait to see today game versus Italy.

Beautiful play by Elano.

What a goal from Robinho.

Terrible second half by Brazil :( Well, we won at least. Dunga should have made early changes in the 2nd half.

The second half was only worth watching 'cause of Julio's saves :P
But the first half was so good that I'll even forget about it. Good game

Btw, Luca Toni held the ball in his hand so hard that I thought he'd scream 'TOOOUCHDOWN'

Really? I don't think we should have any problem qualifying if we play as good as we played to get here. That if we don't choke, like we sometimes do.

yep scolari is gone, im stoked, he was a fish out of water at stamford bridge.
looking like hiddink is gonna replace him, wasn't too enthused at the idea of another international coach, but its only for a few months, and if anyone can pull a team together its hiddink; and as an australian im weak at the knees for the dutchman

good long-term replacement would be zola and clarke if we can pry them from westham. i'd also be happy with moyes. though we dont have a good track record of long term under the russian, do we?

Sucks for Scolari, to Spain/Italy he goes.

As for Chelsea, it's unlikely they come back and if they do Liverpool and Man U will be waiting.

And I can't wait to get home to watch the Brasil game.

@ Hayashia, u a Chelsea fan or hater?

LOOOL! I saw it, Hiruma better have been watching. Toni could really help against mr Don!

Unfortunatelly I havent seen much of African football (I usually watched the CAN), but last time I checked, Nigeria wasnt that strong. Then again, you've been on a winning spree and the team has good names in it, like Yobo, Uche, Obodo and the young hope Obinna. Still aiming for the WC win is something far from likely.

I consider Hiddink one of the best coaches in the world and it'd be an excellent choice to give him the team for the rest of the season. I heard he is to orient the team just until the end of the season, but I think it'd be wise to keep him one more season if the team eventually gets back on its tracks (right now, I dont think Abra can ask him the premiership).

I honestly doubt Scolari has the reputation to go to those leagues right now... I was thinking he'd probably go to a Portuguese big club, like Benfica (they want to get rid of their actual coach so bad...) or Sporting(their coach Paulo Bento ends contract this year, just when the presidential elections on the club are held[yes, we and Spain have presidential elections]). If he wishes something quick, he'd most likely return to a Brazilian team. After some good performances from Brazil, I dont think he'll succeed Dunga right away, but that's just imo.

Lol when it's Chelsea, I guess its down to that... whether you like them, or you hate them... and here I thought I was neutral about them :P
