I really liked the pacing of this chapter. I mean, I'm so glad nothing got dragged, and the sudden transition felt oddly smooth. The twists were also very unexpected.. Like at the beginning you're going.. 'wtf is stein talking about..' and then you're like 'OH, DAMN.."

The part with Angela and Black Star/Soul was also done really well imo.. Explanation of the sway of magic, and thus why witches are dangerous.. And Black Star's growth. I'm surprised the twins aren't more desperate, but I dono.

I wouldn't say Stein is more insane, as he is desperate for vengeance.

Only worries are, what will Black Star do now.. and Eibon is so powerful.. and has all those artifacts.. how are they gonna stop him.. Not to mention we don't know anything about the connections between Eibon/Justin/Asura/Medusa.. Are they enemies? Friends? United goals? Or just separate?..

Honestly SE is so gooood imo.. not only because of it's unique art style, but because the storytelling is (to the best of my knowledge) fluid and consistent. Just wonder what's gonna happen..

i never expected to see justin as a traitor but is nice to know that he is infected with insanity ( the clown), stein and marie ( best couple ever!) were really awesome and finally marie´s ability were revealed..
and with this chapter ends the second arc of soul eater..

- I also didn't saw it coming, Justin a traitor, still Maria's weapon form is quite cool .
- Stein is not well at all, when you look at his expressions he's still insane.
- Don't know where the ape technician went maybe he will be introduced next chapter.
- Of course the assault is over, Arachne is death so it would make sense that nobody as anything to fight over.
- Liz and Patty are talking to Kid's father, so probably it's an issue that Kid's gone. Also Tsubaki is there to make An stay on Shibusen. Now there 2 witches at Shibusen.

Well, it makes a lot more sense when I read it again; I just expected the assault to end a little differently than that. After all, they look like they're on spring break when they've just lost a friend, failed to save another and pretty much got owned by medusa again.
Still, stein looked amazing kicking around justin.

Can't wait for the next chapter.

Where did Justin's betrayal come from? And they just left the place without even trying to get Kid back? Stein appearing out of nowhere with Marie was also weird. In short, to me this chapter was a huge wtf. O.o

I don't know. Maybe I just need to read the chapter again.

Yes, I agree with Anaoj. Though I read the previous chapter too, when starting current chapter I really had to check if I missed a chapter and odd: I didn't

Anyway justin being the murderer of BJ was kinda unexpected as his betrayal: that was a huge twist. I always suspected crona being the murdress. I wonder what new stage we will enter. I look forward and sadly we'll always have to wait a month

This is both a really good chapter and a not-so good chapter.

On one hand the twist with Justin Law was epic on many levels. Not only that but Stein+ Marie against Law was way cool. And the explanation with the witches was great.

On the other hand...WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED???? Last chapter ends with Medusa leaving and getting a cameo of Chrona and then it's all few days later and I don't understand a thing thats going on. And people are talking about Kids kidnapping like it doesn't even matter.

Bad transition I think..

Justin's the Traitor? I liked him, although I'll miss seeing him fighting for the good guy's I'll just have to see where they go from here.

I have reread the entire manga (got some free time on my hands ). There are already hints of Justin's betrayel, like in the battle against the saw dude, the sw says that he couldn't take Justin out yet but now we know it makes sense.
Eibon (Noah actually) and Death are planning something together, Death gave Kid brew so he got his first senzu ring, when that happened you saw death having a weak moment (of joy) but there was also something else that Spirit has seems to know about. And knowing that Death isn't making a fuss about losing Kid to Eibon is showing that he's sure that Kid is going to be alright.

I liked the justin is the traitor thing, and I'm share that in the manga shinigama-sama isn't a reall good guy like in the anime, maybe he is evil, and in the end he it maka's father (spirit) and become a 2nd kishin, and then soul, tsubaki, liz and patty would become death scythes, and save maka's father from shinigami sama.

While the Justin twist is awesome/unexpected, I liked him on the good guys side. He was hilarious and I loved how much style he had in the anime (not to mention how awesome the song he keeps listening to is).

Soul is finally a Death Scythe. Shame that we saw only one demon Maka and Soul fought. And i was right, everyone's changing their outifts, Ox-kun has hairs! And, omg, Kid proably is baaad-ass! We can say that, the Book of Eibon is changing people's minds. It explains why Justin became bad. I can't wait whole month fot the next chapter!

Pretty good stuff. I really wish the anime hadn't ended like it did because some of this later scenes would be sheer epicness animated the way they did it.

Finally soul's leveling up! I can't wait to see the result of that hard work.

this chapter was really good it had a lot of funny momments and good revelations too
i like the new looks in general, i think Ox looks cooler now haha and it seems that marie and stein are still not a couple hehehe
