I was pissed off. Seriously, LOST always does this LOL I wanted to see the ending for that so badly.
So true, so true, so damn true, man : ( <xDXDXD>

About the teaser: interesting. About the fragment from episode 1 probably: man, I just wanted to see what's next and standard cliffhanger of Lost even in sth so short like that :p

I'm excited about the new season, and this time I will probably watch alongside with USA - I mean, I always watched them on tv on pl program <lol> And with this I have the simple, yet to me disturbing question <since it's the first time I'm going to dl episode of some tv series, seriously xd>: torrents are the best for that or do you recommend some nice site for that? <I mean: the quality is good and it's also somewhat fast put onto net after airing in USA>

Wow, am I the first one to comment? Season 6 is going out in a bang. Juliet said that "it worked" right? So all these parallel stories is what is really happening. For example we didn't know that in season 3 (I think 3) all the flash backs were actual flash forwards. So I'm thinking the new time line we are being shown is the actual ending of Lost in some weird way.

Woo hoo, John Locke is back, boo he's paralyzed again.

The biggest confusing part to me was Desmond appearing and vanishing on the airplane.

I need to sleep on this episode, so much to remember.

Just saw the chapter.

Incredible...

Two timelines eh? one with the bomb sending the losties and the "past" swan area to the present and the other with the bomb blowing up the island.

It worked, but not the way they expected...i wonder if every people on the island died when the island blew up or jacob saved somehow. Because that would mean Widmore and Eloise died in the alt timeline and Faraday is dead in both timelines...;_;

MIB/Focke/Monster, they are all the same and the death of Jacob seems to be a catastrophe for the group of the others at the temple...the fountain wich i guess was used to heal young Ben doesn't seem to be working, the japanese dude was surprised when he cut himself and put his hand at the water and nothing happened...also the water is not clean...could it be jacob's power the reason the island cures people faster?

Richard was in chains? i think now richard was a slave from the black rock...i wonder what MIB will do to him now. Also, "i want to go home"? where does he comes from?

Aiya, when I saw part of episode one before it aired, I was hoping they weren't going to bombard us with another set of concurrent, but separate stories (1977 + 2008 was a little much).

For those who missed them, Desmond was reading Salman Rushdie's "Midnight Children," and the French guy was reading "Fear and Trembling." I've been waiting for a Kierkegaard egg since I started watching.

Desmond was clearly acting weird during the flight, and he's passenger 325, which disrupts the original 423 (screw Shannon being written off. They probably wrote for 325 passengers before they found out the actress couldn't guest star). As far as I'm concerned, this lends weight to my prediction concerning his importance. However, alt Locke and Hugo also seemed off to me. Hurley simply because he wasn't acting paranoid (his timeline would sorta be ruined by the loss of the island, unless he's really our Hurley). Locke felt like Flocke to me, especially when talking to Boone and Jack. Perhaps Jacob's nemesis really will succeed in his quest, assuming his home is off the island (after watching certain parts again, I could have Desmond and Locke backwards). Of course, that begs the question of why Jacob "baptized" Sayid. Jacob doesn't strike me as one who would seek vengeance, but Sayid now qualifies as an exploitable loophole.

@Gat
It would be a little odd if the water was Jacob's version of the smoke monster guise. That would pretty much mean that everyone's been "touched" by Jacob ("okay, Sawyer, now show us where the creepy immortal touched you").

p.s. Finally, that frakking guitar case has been bugging me for a long time.

p.p.s. Dunno why they wasted time telling us that the nemesis was the smoke monster. We already knew that, and there's no way the writers can make me feel pity for the jerk that killed Eko.

When Jacon's Nemesis said he wanted to go home, I think he meant that he wanted to go to the temple. That's probably his home. Since Jacob was alive, he probably couldn't go home(temple) so he had to kill Jacob in order to do so. Man these 2 episodes were awesome, I can't believe it just springs back more questions like what the hell is the ash? Clearly it keeps the smoke monster away. Why did the Others have to wait for the hourglass to run out? How did Richard recognize Jacob's nemesis? Damn >.<

I'm assuming the flare indicated something along the line: Jacob's dead, danger ahead, cover yourself with ashes.

Maybe I missed something, but I guess 1977 and Present are now one again?

Also, regardless of why Desmond's on the plane, the reason Jack may have recognized him is because they already met each other in both realities.

All of the Losties are connected, and they are destined to be a part of one another's lives, regardless of the plain crash. Also, they are also all somewhat different then their previous selves. Hurley is the luckiest man alive as opposed to being the unluckiest. Jack is nervous prior to takeoff instead of Rose. Sawyer is kind to others. Boone didn't get Shannon to leave. Locke went on the walkabout. I'm noticing a pattern here. There are a hundred theories as to why Desmonds "on the flight" (I put that in quotations because he vanished).

Regardless, great freaking episode, and this last season ought to be great.

That's what I was thinking aswell. I think that sooner or later, the cast will get the choice to either land at LAX but the Island in destroyed OR stay on the Island at the present time. And to choose, they are given both scenarios as the flash sideways.

Heh, I don't think tPtB will be nice enough to give them a preview of what that choice entails. While several, if not all, of them are likely to choose in favor of the alternate universe, I imagine the writers will make said decision a leap of faith, not a rational examination of the pros and cons of each scenario. They can only hope that the alternate timeline grants them better lives than the island has, just as Jack could only hope so in regards to the Jughead plan.

If bullets couldn't harm Evil Locke than what makes you think fists could?

Come on, xi0, we all know Alpert is simply magical. His fists can shatter mountains...and statues.

Not so great episode...but still.

it seems the focus on the alternate timeline is to show how the losties would have overcome their problems if the plane landed. I bet Jack is going to fix locke's spine...

Anyway, it was nice to see Ethan and that dude who guarded the room 23, too bad the last one had to die in that way....Also, Dogen is awesome, he seems to be aware of the conflict between Jacob and MIB.

Sayid infected by MIB's disease? that doesn't explain why he came back to life unless the disease can bring someone back to life in order to corrupt him slowly.

Kinda like how Claire now seems to be an evil version of Rousseau (if Dogen is right about the "darkness" inside her), i wonder if she is going to play MIB's game and pretend she is a good girl or she is going to kill everyone at the first chance.

I like Rob McElhenney but I always thought the Aldo cameo was stupid. Still, it's nice to know that Rousseau wasn't as crazy as we thought.

Hmmm, should we be taking bets on who becomes/was infected (my money's on Radzinsky)?

It was already explained that if someone gets healed by the temple, they will loose their light and fall into darkness. This is what happened to Ben. And now, the same thing is gonna happen to Sayid. Also this has happened to Claire. Confused about the whole Claire thing, why did she need healing?

And did Christian show her the temple? If this is the case, then Christian is also the MIB. Remember in the Cabin? Where we saw Christian? And guess what, the Cabin was surrounded by Ash so MIB probably couldn't escape until Locke entered the Cabin in Season 3 and somehow made his escape.

This is why I love Lost lol

The french team had the disease according to Rousseau.

Rousseau boyfriend wanted to kill her...that disease completely corrupted him to the point he wanted to kill her and his baby. I don't think Ben had the same thing...

Also, how did they knew the smoke was a "security system"? I don't think the others took them and told them it was, or even took them to the temple to heal them from something...they got the disease from another way.

The pond inside the temple is not "clean" anymore since Jacob died, it could be that MIB's influence is not all over the pond and that's the reason why Sayid got the desease.

I have a feeling that Christian warned Claire about the darkness inside her which made her decide to leave her baby (and the reason why she didn't want him to come back).

Great episode once again (although last was better imo). So they're all candidates, but I'm wondering whether they're supposed to protect the island from smoky Locke.

Not to mention, I'm surprised at how similar Locke and the smoke guy actually are...

I'd say that we should be cautious in believing anything that Evil Locke says. It seems strange for Jacob and MiB to take a role reversal of some sort....MiB the logical and caring one for instance.

My favourite part was when Flocke threw the "white" stone into the sea from those scales, just showing us the "evil" and the "good" side. This episode is starting to clear up some questions now, so those were the candidates who would take over if Jacob died. Did anyone notice Kate's name wasn't on the wall? Why is that? Because she was chosen by Jacob in the flashback aswell.

That's something I noticed too. Maybe it has something to do with her connection to Aaron?
