While it does not exactly say that the fruits "grow up again", the SBS for vol. 48 contains a question regarding the subject:

O: Very sharp of you. But I'm cool. I haven't made any mistakes. As a hint, let me rephrase what Usopp is saying. "The same powers don't exist twice AT THE SAME TIME." How's that? For more detail, you'll just have to wait for a certain professor to make his appearance in the story, and explain exactly what the Devil Fruits REALLY are... Eventually.

With that said, I don't think it's ever been said (except, as deffkryz said above, in Romance Dawn but that's not canon) that they grow back. It would be the logical thing to assume that they do, but it's not confirmed. As Oda-sensei said, we should wait patiently for Dr. Vegapunk to explain it to us.

About the devil fruit thing, I'm pretty sure the only thing that was ever stated by Oda is that the same power can actually exist, but not at the same time. Witch makes totally sense, since we know that books containing description of knowed DF exist. The Gomu Gome was known, as well as the Suke Suke, the Yami Yami, and many other probably as well. The Ushi Ushi giraffe model and the Awa Awa were unkonwn, as stated by Spanda(m). Summing up, probably after the user death his DF is bound to grow up again, maybe on his grave, or maybe in a total different place, or who knows. But I doubt we'll see another Mera Mera no Mi user anytime soon...

Edit: as for Romance Dawn, for the earlier versions there was no sing of DF fruit at all except for the Gomu Gomu no Mi, the original name also being simply "Gum fruit" in english, changed when Oda noticed that an actual gum fruit does already exist in our world

Erm.... Ace is mentionning here some incident to Luffy which has been translated commonly as "Sabo thing". I did a little research on what サボ may be... and I came to the conclusion that Oda may have ment a place called "Sabot", named for the wooden shoes that have also been worn in the Netherlands where you can find ... windmills (reference: Fushia village/Windmill village)

So I believe Sabo/Sabot is either the place where Dadan lives/lived and were Garp left Luffy and Ace or the town closeby mentioned in the flashback.

Yeah... Most probably not, though. "Torrent and erosion" control - does not fit the gap in my opinion Especially since the japanese original word for it is "sabou" (with a long ending vowel).

I guess it's just a key word given to guide the story or make us wonder, possibly connected to Dadan.

I actually managed to find this one: http://www.kamus.com/jap-eng/sabou. It seems that the actual pronunciation as stated by you is the exact one used for the same word described by msg . But here's a totally different meaning as well. As for the explanation of boths, I kinda of don't know...

I should have been more specific, I actually meant that the spelling for "torrent and erosion control" is "sabou", the word in the manga is "sabo". Furthermore, it's written in katakana (which nowadays doesn't mean as much as it did, especially in manga) but that suggests that it is, in fact, a name.

If luffy faints i will stop reading one piece.

900% chance he will go beserk like no one has ever seen.

Then stop it... who cares?
I think he has to faint "collapse". what do you think will happen in nw etc if a half-dead collapsed rookie after that mental shock, goes crazy and beats an admiral? There is no way for him to beat some badass marine, even if he was at full health.
Through this the story would get unbelievable, and at least, that isn`t odastyle... it would be much to easy.

i think this arc is going to an end, and i doubt that there will be much more chapters, 1-2 perhaps. wb split the island in two and separated pirates and marines from each other and gave them an escape route. jimbei took luffy (and phps ace's corpse) out of the marines range and they all are going to escape.

Personally, at this point i'd like to see one chapter, and then a short timeskip to where luffy awakens. the really important szenes that we would miss could be telled by jimbei, iva-san or whoever is next to luffy when he wakes up in short flashbacks..

Panties...well I don't get them. Japanese people seem fascinated by panties like they're some sort of omnipotent god seen by a select few people in "visions" to confirm their faith.
