Reading back on volumes 1-3 i noticed alot of references to caska.
One that comes to my head is when Guts is fighting the count, Puck starts crying and says just go ahead and die. Guts then has a suprized face then smiles and puck is like wtf he did a normal non evil smile for a second. This obivously bought back good memories of him and caska at the waterfall when she said go ahead and die. (i think it was then, but she did say it at one point)

Another Reference is Guts step mother shisu she reminded of the caska we know of today. The soilder dude also said shes been acting weird since her miscarriage. The way caska was draw to the moonlight child and how she does the ohhh stuff, shisu did that too, even though she was only on like 6 pages.


Oh reading back makes me lol on how bad guts childhood life was and how adulthood/teens is screwed too lolz

What if...when Guts party finally arrives at Elfhem they find it devastated by the Neo Band of the Hawks? It's not so hard to believe 'cause if the Elf King is as strong as Skull Knight says Griffith may see him as a menace an get rid of him (as he did with Flora) and since the Neo Band of the Hawks doesn't do things half-hearted they would probably destroy the whole Utopia too. I know is just a theory (more like a crack-theory ¬_¬) but it has been popping in my head recently and now I can't stop pondering about the matter, it would be a huuuge shock Don't ya agree?

This is normal. The manga is 20 years old and only on chapter 315. Lets do the math shall we.

0.76 chapters per month.

15.75 chapters a year (last few years have been 8-10 at most)

This aint no shonen. It is much like a fine wine. It takes time to get the best.

I agree. Just look at the art.It's extremely well done and needs a huge amount of time to complete, let alone coming up with new events and imagining the characters stances and facial expressions.
It took me literally 2 hours to copy 1 pannel and the results were not as good as the original. This guy is a goddamn genious... I don't mind waiting for the chapters when they're top quality like Berserk.

The japanese, if I'm not mistaken have the largest life expectancy in the world -- so this manga can easily go another 20 years or so. :P I wouldn't mind growing old with it myself.

Oda nobunagwa in onimusha says a man's life is 50 years...lol considering that was 17th century though..

Well as long as heaven has internet access to earth and i can check on the berserk releases i'll be happy.

I think there's some kind of law under voting in Japanese parliament for stricter rules in culture/literature/manga to ban of "harmful" content.
I'm not quite sure about it, but it might mainly aim about manga displaying incest and those which are close to child pornography.

However, in the curret state Berserk would hardly be in danger of beeing banned or censored in any country. The latest arc seemed rather fantasy mainstream and there hasn't been any cruel torture, rape or other crimes for a while. I really don't see Berserk beeing endangered by this, not even the earlier chapters.

All crime can get a series banned.

Not just lolicon stuff.

It says anything that's "harmful to the development of a minor" as determined by a group of shrieking harpies from the tokyo pta.

They called Cutey Honey, Hareuchi Gakuen and all of Go Nagais stuff harmful blahblahblah.

If that got all of go nagais earlier works the AO treatment we probably wouldn't have getter robo because go would have never been a hit.

In the series Griffiths prostituted himself, caska was raped, ditto with guts.

If that happened while the ban was in effect and the wrong of bitc....biddy saw it it could get the AO ban.

This is more than just lolicon bashing, this is the censoring of everything that makes anime anime...if the fights too bloody? ban. If there's sex? Ban. If there's crime? Ban.

This is as bad as the comic books code from american comics.

....interestingly enough Ishihara's law doesn't affect the novels where Ishihara writes about graphic rape...apparently the only mediums dangerous to the development of youth are the ones that Ishihara himself doesn't have his tentacles in.

We wouldn't have this problem with berserk if miura never had so many god damn breaks.... This screws up anything epic happening in berserk. It's going to turn berserk into 4kids kind of stories!!
