One of the most important elements in a movie is its music. While good acting is essential, it is also thanks to the music used in a scene that feelings and emotions are conveyed to the viewers. Have you ever watched a movie without any music or sound? It is not the same right, the music is a big reason why some movies are the amazing films they are. In fact, some songs have defined some movies.

So this is a thread to post our favorite movie music. Whether it is an instrumental song or an artist featuring a song; or whether it is an oldie but goodie, or a brand new song; feel free to post your fav movie songs here and share them with the rest of us.

Here are some of my favorite movie songs:

I feel it'd be easier to list entire soundtracks rather than songs, but that list would become too long as well, so I'm just gonna list some songs I especially like:

Glen Hansard - Say It To Me Now (from Once)

Beck - Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometimes (from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind)

Ennio Morricone - Ecstasy of Gold (from The Good, The Bad, The Ugly)

Oh, and this, because it's the most awesome "look cool while walking"-song ever.

Lux Aeterna (from Requiem For A Dream)

This is one of my favorite movie songs as well, it is an epic song! And thank you very much for writing the name of the song and where it comes from. For some reason…(I guess it was because of a video I watched on youtube), I was under the impression the song came from The LOTR. And since I mentioned The LOTR, I may as well post some of my favorite songs from this amazing trilogy :

Cry by Mandy Moore. I cried while going out from the movies. It caused my tears to fall a lot.

Anyway, all sound tracks in A Walk to Remember were fantastic!

All is great, the beautiful Angkhor Wat theme, Nat King Cole, even the strange traditional chinese musics are not so bad after a few hearing. Plus the movie with so beautiful

I haven’t re-watched “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" in quite a long time, but iirc the movie wasn’t that bad and it was actually pretty cool. However, what I liked the most about that movie was its music; the movie soundtrack for that movie was wonderful.

As I was finishing writing this thread another favorite movie song of mine came to my mind. I’m referring to “Highway to the Dangerzone” from Top Gun.

After just watching "Red Riding Hood" i fell in love with this one soundtrack song. It's so catchy the first and a half minute (which is all which got used in the movie anyway - for now obvious reason) (- -"

Thanks to this AMV, I found out about this amazing song. I didn’t know it was from the Inception OST, but such a great song had to come from an amazing movie so I wasn’t surprised when I found out it was an Inception song. It is a fantastic song and it is now one of my favorite movie songs.
