I know Mago had a oneshot in 2007 - don't know when exactly though and it came out as serialized in March 08, how much time does it take more or less in order for a oneshot to become serialized assuming that it's very good?
Mago was winner of 3rd Golden Future Cup. That's why it serialized quickly than other one shots.

I'm actually surprised that WSJ has/had so many anime adaptations in its current line-up. Even without the veterans (OP, Naruto & Bleach), there are still couple of strong series. The magazine might not make as much money if one of the Big 3 ends, but it shouldn't collapse like what some believed a few years ago.
So many series from 2008 and 2009 managed to survive and thrive, all started reaching the age when they get adaptions around the same time too. And Sket Dance took four years, rather than two or three, so it's getting adapted with the current wave. Very, very few series from 2005-2007 survived long enough to get an anime. Neuro and ToRa are the only ones coming to mind.

I;d like to know this as well. Especially since there's a reasonable possibility this may be seralized at some point.
I did :p

It's a fun 1-shot with likable characters. Not as deep as Psyren, but enjoyable nonetheless.

It's definitely possible to be serialized, yes, but I'm not sure what the focus will be. The heroine is just a normal girl, while the folks from Godland Company are non-humans that can fight. If it is to become a sort of semi-battle manga, I fear it could end up like Zoo... :s

You forgot Sket Dance and Hatsukoi Limited.
Hatsukoi's anime came after its demise :P

But, it still count as one of 2005-2007 series.

I found newly updated information for some Jump series' total printed copies:

Sket Dance (1~18) = 7,000,000
Toriko (1~14 + Gaiden) = 7,300,000
Bakuman。 (1~12) = 7,500,000
Inumarudashii (1~7) = 900,000

I didn't forget, I said it was getting it's anime with this wave of adaptions, that it took a longer than usual four years. I forgot about Hatsukoi, but like Finestela said, it's one of the rare series to get an anime after it ended. Certainly the vast majority of series from that period were never adapted. Even semi-popular ones like Muhyo and Mx0.

A more detailed summary on Godland Company (my thought are in the previous post):

A group of strange people rented a rundown building owned by the grandmother of Hanazawa Meoto, our heroine. Meoto eventually found out that the group, known as "Godland Company", were actually various mythical beings and monsters like Vampire, Succubus, etc.

After storming out of the building, Meoto was kidnapped by a group of Yakuza looking men, who all turned out to be monsters as well. They wanted to kill her to scare Meoto's grandmother into selling them a mountain she owned.

In the end, she was saved by the folks from Godland Company, and the story ended with Meoto wanting to befriend her new neighbors.

Is Godland Company a series or a one shot?

Ah, that makes sense. We have a couple of strong series at the moment so it's no wonder that there are a lot of anime adaptations. It still interests me that WSJ had a low point in the mid-2000s because it's hard to imagine now.

Is Ikkyu the manga about that riddle demon and the boy who always solved them. If yes I'm really interested what it can give as a serie

Yes, it is that manga. I read the one shot and it looked like having potential. Imo, it is an one shot in which you can make a lot of improvements. This series should definitely start better than the one shot

I agree that Ikkyuu is good one shot, and I'm looking forward for its serialization. But I can't imagine how Ikkyuu going to be successful as series, like I wonder how the story author can create long story arc with just using riddle.

So that's Ikkyu! In that case,i'm very happy(if it doesn't turn into a fighting shonen that is).

I hope it gets scanlated. The one-shot was very good,so i doubt that we'll have to wait a lot for the Edited Mangas.

Death Note was pre-"low period". It premiered before Gintama for one thing. For the most part I say the "low period" was essentially from about the end of 2004 (about Muhyo's start) to the end of 2007. (since 2008 is when we got the start of the real surge of new series coming in to make thier mark)

i liked the one-shot as well, but i can't think that the author can keep up with creativity, because of the weekly stress. i mean every week some good riddles and a overall story that keep it together? nothing i think for just that this seems impossible over a long time.

I just read Godland Company, and I really like it. I hope it to become serialization (but it might going to take about one year :crying).

There seems to be a pattern: if there are a large number of established, popular series a larger number of new series are canceled. A lot of the popular series of the early 2000's ended in 2003 - 2005. Hikaru no Go, Yi-Gi-Oh, Rookies, Whistle, Shaman King, Black Cat, Ichigo 100%, and Buso Renkin all ended during that time. This opened up room for series like Death Note, Gintama, Reborn, D. Gray Man, Muhyo, and Neuro. With fewer series ending in 2006-2007 only To Love Ru, Mx0, and Sket Dance ran for two or more years.

The pattern was repeated in 2008-2009 when more established, popular series ended. Prince of Tennis, Mx0, Eyeshield, DGM, Muhyo, Neuro, and To Love Ru all ended. Most polled in the middle or bottom, but it opened a lot of space up for new series. The more established series end, the more new series have to survive, to take their place. Very few established series have ended in 2010-2011, so more new series are being canceled again.

Sengoku armors was also well received and it's not scanlated. Koen if this one is also scanlated in French please share the news :-)
The nice people at Clockwork Lies have scanlated volume 1.
