damn bleach at the bottom 5 again ? when will it recover . the current arc is good, maybe it still doesn't offer much new when it comes to fights but there is a lot of secrets and mystery

Bleach isn't really interesting these days. It's become too formulaic and boring. Don't get me wrong, even I read Bleach and wish it ranks higher, but TOC doesn't lie...

And I'm doubting Bleach will ever recover honestly. It may occasionally bust out of the bottom half of the magazine but it will most likely hang around the bottom till it ends. If this ridiculous new arc hasn't gotten its fans excited yet I doubt it will.

I feel the same way...as someone here told earlier, Bleach is the new Nura of Jump.

Eh, I wouldn't say Nura...more like JoJo based solely off it's ranking situation (though I'm pretty sure Bleach sells more than JoJo did but I'm not certain). JoJo ran for a long time and was always near the bottom the last few years it was in Jump...sorta a connection I guess.

i was gonna ask if any series that lasted more than 10 years managed to maintain it's popularity in the toc other than Naruto and one piece but i'm not sure if such a series has existed since people knew about how the toc works, but if anyone has an answer it would be great

Don't school-like manga often have a balanced ratio of f:m? Angel Densetsu, Yankee-kun to Megane-chan, ST&RS, Soul Eater, Beelze, GTO.

Good point. Though it gets a bit confusing because a lot of manga start out with school life themes and then ditch them for supernatural elements, or something else (Bleach). A lot of harem manga have school life themes but the female characters are way into majority, too. But you're right, manga that have school as a backdrop have a tendency to be more balanced.

I find it interesting that out of the examples you mentioned, only two of them were published by Weekly Jump, and one of them got cancelled. Its probably a Jump thing.

Ever since Mago got soft-cancelled, my theory of popular series being safe even if they're at the bottom of TOC is gone. =/ It feels weird.

i don't think thats the case. it's more likely to drag on for another year if this arc is really the last one, or they do it as nura and publish sone large chapters in next but even that will need to wait till nuras are finished in next.

Don't let Mago fool you. Bleach has bad ranks (mostly imho because jump's readers are too young and Bleach is kinda of a "previous generation") but Bleach is one of the biggest hit in manga history..it nearly sold 100 million copies, they won't axe it for a year of bad rankings, even with the sales' decline, Bleach will go on 'till the end, which is not in its near future (or at least Naruto and Reborn! should end sooner).
The magazine is doing the right thing, I mean pushing the new series..two years from now Sket Dance could be the oldest, besides One Piece.

I hope that the second half of the year will be all about the new One Piece's movie..
One Piece is on break again..just like when Oda was involved in Strong World..

the only series i fare about that is in danger would be pajama, all the others looks save for now. especially assassin, hq and nisekoi. surprised that momiji is more in the middle than in the bottom. biggest surprise for us all is psi, which is the only one not translated yet? would love to look into it to understand the high ranking. it must be the funniest thing ever to get this high as a new series.
