Hmm, while i`m happy for Kagamigami`s rank, it might indeed be just because Iwashiro was a previous author with a succesfull series (well, I don`t think Psyren was that succesfull but still). Plus I think we should wait until all series are properly ranked before saying that Jump has a new hit. For all we know, all these new series might bomb. Or maybe all of them will be succesul (yeah, that`s more like wishfull thinking, but eh, miracles sometimes happen).

It has been below all action series most of the time, many of them even below Bleach, which is the rock bottom for any action series. He said that World Trigger has been absorbing Naruto votes and I said that I doubt, it has been the same or worse since Naruto ended.
First ranked series is already above it, this 9th you talk so much about can become a 13th in no time.

Obviously WT didn't got many Naruto votes, it hardly feels like Naruto anyway. BnH most likely got most of them after the Naruto fans had no more Naruto to vote for. As for first ranked of the new action series, biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig deal~
Almost every first chapter ranks high, only those which were real failures hit rock bottom form the start. If it can keep this rank for the next weeks/months/years then yeah, congratulation. But it could already be in rank 7 next week and then rank 10 or 11 in the week after while WT could stay rank 9 in both weeks repeatly. We don't know yet and I am pretty sure you cannot look into the future to know that all new action series will always and forever rank above WT till its cancellation. -_-

I'm torn between saying that would be the worst possible thing that could happen to it and wondering if a smaller page count might actually force them to stop padding out the plot with spreads.

A changing from Monthly to Weekly can destroy the pacing of a series. Let Seraph of the End in the place it is. Not that Jump SQ would accept such nonsense, it is not like Shonen Jump staff is the owner of Shueisha.

Isn't Kagamigami 4th? Iirc, One Piece was absent in the issue when kagamigami was released. So that would mean that OP's first spot is not a ranked one. Readers couldn't vote for OP

Spending more pages on cool set pieces and two-page shots of everyone than on advancing the story. Think Bleach, but with backgrounds.

Are you in a hurry? The pacing has been perfect IMO. The plot develops when it must develop.
You cannot read Seraph of the End wihtout thinking, unlike Bleach.

You can read through any series without thinking, but you'll just miss out on a lot.

Depends on what series I'm reading. For instance Bleach is like a 3 second read, but series like Oyasumi Pun Pun and Vagabond I read slowly to catch hints of symbolism and to understand deeply what the plot is. Just depends on the series and what your invested

Dont really understand the reading without thinking ordeal. In Bleach upon finishing one is still spending time thinking about where the writing is going, how the conflict will be resolved, and more. Sure it may take only two minutes to read the chapter, but I still imagine one is entertaining ideas about it for far longer.

It takes me upwards of an hour to read a Seraph chapter. They are so full of content and possibility.
