Mag Talk Weekly Shonen Jump [2015] - Discussion and TOC Talk

[RafaFedKilla]

Still have time to improve his sales, the last time he had problem with the stock so this time maybe too.
Still, didn't see future.

The future is Jump Plus for my own special reasons.

Odds on KnB Extra Game having the cover of the next issue of Jump Next? Lol

The wait to see whether that premise would inspire any controversy in North America is now over as bootleg t-shirts featuring the smiling face of the series' Koro Sensei and the parody slogan "Keep Calm and Kill Your Teacher" have raised concern among teachers, parents and lawmakers.

One week after its launch, a Change.org user created petition calling on Amazon to stop selling the t-shirts is on course to pass its 10,000 signature goal within the next day.

Petition author Christine Russo of Brooklyn, NY explains:
What kind of message are we sending children when they sell a shirt that says keep calm and kill your teacher? Please sign this petition so hopefully amazon will take this shirt off their website. It is highly offensive. Teachers are the ones protecting students when crazed gunmen come into their school, and now they think students should kill them? This shirt needs to stop being sold immediately!

LoL. jump-netabare is the no.1 fake spoiler provider.
I don't think we will get early scans of WSJ since the delivery schedule won't be changed. We might get text spoilers or cam pics. WSM and WSS is a different story.

Well if you make a t-shirt like that, then you are bound to face such obvious problems. No sympathy from me in this matter. Manga is not really popular in America for people to get the reference. Even if it is, such petitions would still come up.

[WyldViolet]

I remember when people were telling me that AssClass would cause no controversy in the states whatsoever.
Nice to see that I was right yet again.
Like always.

[xi0]

Uh, no. I'm pretty sure that isn't what people said. From what I remember, most people here said it shouldn't prevent Viz from licensing it...which it didn't.

The tshirts are bootleg...they have nothing to do with Viz or Funimation. The series has been running for the better part of a year without any controversy. Whether these shirts bring more mainstream attention to the series for better or worse, remains to be seen.

[Avok]

Kagamigami is nowhere to be seen, I guess it is doomed.

Nice sales for Black Clover, btw.

[SharkBait]

BLack Clover FTW!. The doubling growth of it strongly suggests and highly implies that its swiftly approaching Psi Kusuo and World Trigger levels and will soon be Hero Academia level and then to One Piece level. I hope LERCHE, KYOANI, and PIERROT are being considered for BLack Clover.

KyoAni lmao!

My bet is BC by Pierrot and MHA by Toei.

Disgusting. Seriously, can't Toei just make another 500 episodes of World Trigger then just quietly fade out of existence.

Should we Bleach fans be worried?...
volume 66 did 360k in 7 days

One day doesn't make much of a difference, and Bleach has always had pretty bad legs when it come to selling over time...

[ElJin]

Seriously, can't Toei just make another 500 episodes of World Trigger then just quietly fade out of existence.

Because it is still the studio that animates the major successes of Weekly Shounen Jump. Everyone agrees that the animation level is precarious, but it sells. That's what matter in a capitalist world.

[Avok]

Disgusting. Seriously, can't Toei just make another 500 episodes of World Trigger then just quietly fade out of existence.

Their quality is questionable but the numbers and the prestige are there.

[Xzone]

It isn't growing the last volume has 30k in 4 days and this 60k in 7, still decent number.

KyoAni lmao!

My bet is BC by Pierrot and MHA by Toei.

In term of animation and 'find a way' Kyoani are in the top, the problem is that his forte isn't actipn series.
Still lerche is small and prefer if focus in noitamina projects and AC.
The only good team of pierrot was the akatsuku no yona
