I do not want to complain but we can speculate about current DF Natsu while we use the feats of tartaros sema!? This sounds unfair, to me! Shouldn't we compare tartaros DF Natsu with tartaros sema or hype current sema at least but then we operate in featless areas and have no evidences:eyeroll!!!!!

Imo, we should only compare FDKM Natsu vs Jellal here to decide who will be victorious in this tournament! Natsu is definetily superior in close combat and durability than Jellal but he is inferior in versatility, speed and intelligence. It's also questionable to me if FDKM Natsu is actually on spriggan tier. After all he defeated only a spriggan whose magic was negated. LFDM didn't even increase Natsu's power by one tier and current Base Natsu is for sure on GoI level!
If FDKM Natsu manages to catch Jellal and forces him into a close combat battle, I could imagine that Natsu has a chance to win but I doubt that this will be the case! ToH Jellal also got away from ToH DF Natsu and could have won with the spell "Abyss Break"!
Overall I think, Jellal wins this with mid or high diff ;) !!!

Speculation is not taken into consideration. I think that is what this means??? I guess
5. Characters
Because the plot is moving forward and certain characters are being developed, they can only be considered as they have been "shown" (pic or text) capable of in the manga, except for the few characters that we have imposed a limit on. Take a look at the spoiler a few steps down.
So it's Tartaros sema and Tartaros DF.

Natsu would need to stop in place and fire that roar. Jellal would literally attack him then. Natsu has a choice, stop Cema but have Jellal kill him or stop Jellal and be flatten by Cema.

Just because crunchy roll is an famous anime website, doesn't mean it's correct translations. When over 9 manga sites say he negated some of it, I trust that then crunchy roll.

And GC is a basic spell, it's similar to Natsus iron fist of the fire dragon. And Jellal has AOE advantage. GC would halt Natsu, then he'll cast Cema. Natsu shoots a roar at the blast, destroys Cema. But wait, Jellal pins Natsu against the way and blast his face with energy.

I know Natsu is going to win this voting rank because he won against Gildarts. When Gildarts would blitz Natsu but that's besides the point. The point is even if Natsu wins, it doesn't stop facts. Jellal is way faster, and Natsu hasn't shown any speed feats this arc.

Jellal would melt Natsu.
How could Jellal attack Natsu when he'd still be busy casting Sema? As we've seen from him, he can't move whatsoever until Sema is done so its literally a standstill at that point.

Crunchyroll hosts the official translations, I don't know how much clearer anyone can be about that. If you're seriously trying to deny their accuracy and legitimacy, then it is a shame to see you having to do that to try and push your case for Jellal winning.

A basic spell would be a spell that a mage would use (or something akin to it) a few times. Grand Chariot is only ever used once per fight, so its not a basic spell, especially when Jellal is always exhausted after casting it. Its a wild claim to make.

Guys, can altairis be used in the fight? We don't know how it affects the opponent. When it killed Simon, Simon actually castes another spell(there was another magic circle). All we know about is that it gobbles up stuff(like it did with the ether ion particles). And abyss break will only have destroying ToH feat rite?

There is a problem though. We do not know the cast time of three dimensional seal tho... And it was not GC which immobilized them
Are you sure? The seal that appeared on the ground for Solid Seal/Three Dimensional Seal was the same formation as GC, I assumed that it was an effect the GC had before/during it was cast. Good call on the cast time though, it's true we don't know the cast time but I doubt it would be that long otherwise he would have just cast Sema first.

It's a sad day for me when i vote for Natsu 2 matchups in a row haha(not a fan of Natsu), but i am doing just that. This is a nail biter for me just like the Jellal/Laxus matchup in the previous round. I just think Natus has slightly better feats, but i think it could go either way. I will say once again that i do not believe DF should be taken into account, as like i have said FDKM could easily have replaced it now that we have not seen DF since the timeskip, so to me DF=FDKM until proven otherwise. I personally think either Laxus or one of the Spriggan 12 should have won this tournament, but that's the way it goes and Natsu does appear to be around their level i suppose. I believe a tournament that happens after FT is done (if there is one) is the way to go, because while there is always going to be speculation, i believe knowing what all the characters can do at the current time would be best. That said i enjoyed the tournament and look forward to seeing who comes out on top! Shout out to the ones who set up the tournament as well, it was well put together.

Woah woah. The FIRST time Jellal casted Grand Chariot, he wasn't tired one bit.

The second time he casted Grand Chariot, he was already tired and beaten up. It's a wild claim to suggest that Jellal's most basic spell isn't Jellal's most basic spell because you can't wrap your mind around the possibility that Grand Chariot is Jellal's "Fire Dragon's STANDARD Fist" (*which I'd like to point out that Natsu has never used more than one of, so I guess that's one of his top tier spells now, huh?)

I think the seal was set up during the illusion. If only Jellal gave us some more goddamn feats...

I only raised it as a possibility, though I don't think it's too wild to speculate that the cast time is less than Sema, in which case Jellal can set up the seal and then use Abyss Break/Sema.

Keep in mind that Abyss Break was going to destroy a Tower that Etherion had no effect on at all...and we know that Etherion can literally wipe off a country of the face of the earth...that's completely end game right there...
Considering the fact that Jellal was able to cast the spell within a fraction of a second, faster than any speed feats Natsu has ever shown and faster than 4 S-Class Wizards (Phantom Lord)...
The spell would completely devastate Natsu...

Etherion only had no effect on the ToH because the lacrima it was comprised of absorbed the spell. If it hadn't of done that, the tower and everyone inside would've been destroyed.

Also he took a couple of seconds to write up the magic circle for Abyss Break, it wasn't almost instantaneous like you're implying. If he's stationary and writing it up, Natsu should be able to close the distance with the speed he has in DF and hit him with an attack, just one attack, to break Jellal's concentration and the spell would be moot until Jellal goes to write up the circle again.

Wow, you're kidding me. It took him a few flicks of his wrist, you really think Natsu is THAT fast? Heck, if he were that fast, he might as well go fight Acnologia right now.

You just captured my point, the Tower was made of Lacrima, which absorbed Etherion....

I don't think you're seeing how powerful the spell is,and by extension how insanely powerful Jellal is...

Of course, it'd still come down to the distance of how far away Jellal was. As we've seen from Natsu when in DF in Tartarus, he can close a fair distance pretty damn quickly like when he was knocking Mard Geer around, so it isn't impossible to think he'd be able to close the distance if he was close enough. Its also not certain if there's a few more seconds in Abyss Break once the circle is complete and the mage begins to cast it, as it might not be an instantaneous thing, just like Fairy Law. And would being that fast have to do with fighting Acnologia?

We can't use Abyss Break regardless, since we haven't seen what it can do. And there's reason he'd have to be stationary to cast it, the same way Natsu can move and fire a punch, when drawing Abyss Break, Jellal was flying away while casting it.

Heck why didn't I just see this before. Jellal can just fly super high into the sky and drop a bunch of Sema's and Abyss Breaks, like wtf. Natsu can't fly, no matter what Bluenote says.

Edit: Jk, flame legs, but still, it's inefficient.

Bruh ToH's composition had the property to absorb Etherion not any spell.

Abyss break can be used. As per the rules, the words of characters is also considered as feats. However, it only has the power which could destroy ToH. So ToH feats can be used for abyss break. Altairis is a different story as we don't know it's nature...

Okay, let me throw this one at people.

Throughout the manga, we've seen Natsu grow and we've also seen that in the last year especially that he did an immense amount of training in that year, and became strong enough to one-shot someone who was just as strong as Gildarts with ease, which is quite impressive.

Jellal on the other hand has never actually shown any signs of any growth whatsoever throughout the eight years since the ToH, so without anything to actually indicate he got stronger its actually pretty clear to me that he's been at the strength to one-shot Neinhart since ToH. Now if you remember that just a thoughtform was enough to have him recognized as powerful enough to become a Wizard Saint and enter the magic council, then it becomes a whole lot more believable that Jellal has always been at this level.

Now if you think back to Natsu at that time who when in Dragon Force defeated Jellal, the most powerful person in the manga at that time, with just a few punches, then it makes Natsu's feat at the time all the more impressive. And, seeing that Natsu is now much stronger while as I've stated above, Jellal has shown no signs of actually growing stronger in anyway whatsoever, then I think its clear that Natsu could actually clean Jellal up even faster than he did back in the ToH arc as he's much stronger, faster etc. now.

Heck why didn't I just see this before. Jellal can just fly super high into the sky and drop a bunch of Sema's and Abyss Breaks, like wtf. Natsu can't fly, no matter what Bluenote says.
But you need to think that the higher he goes the less his accuracy is going to be, and seeing Grand Chariot doesn't have a feat of traveling too far, that'd leave him to drop big Sema's again and again which are very draining on him. And if he is going to do this from really high up like you said, then Natsu could potentially get in a position to avoid the majority of the attack, perhaps even fully avoid it.

Altairis nature = kill a man
man = natsu
It seems to have been a darkness type heavenly body magic.

But, in that case, excellent. And this is pre-pre skip Abyss Break. Sieghart casted one that took up more space than Sema, I bet Jellal can now do the same as well.

Currnet Base Natsu > Df tartarous. lol

What are you . . . even saying? LOL.

By defense, I'm obviously talking about a counter. Like Marin's spatial-magic nullification. I've never seen such a lopsided view. They AREN'T assumptions. Unlike you and your "very contributive" one-liners, I've solidly shown why Natsu cannot defeat Jacob. I even spared your ego by saying he's stronger than Jacob in terms of strength. Now let's move on.

OH MY GOSH SAM DID YOU READ MY POST?

I KNOW Natsu was holding back. But if Natsu can't HIT Jacob how is he going to WIN? It is definitely 100% completely being a complete "pussy" as you word it, but that doesn't change the fact that neither Natsu nor Jellal nor anyone non-god tier or hax-tier (aside from Lucy & Marin) can do anything about it.

I was being sarcastic lol. I'm just saying, without Lucy's help (nullifying stealth) and Happy (blocking transport), Natsu cannot overcome such a hax magic until he achieves mach speed like Acnologia.

Yeah I have no idea how we got here either.

Nah, Jellal can't defeat things like stealth, transport, and age seal. We're just pushing it too far now lmao
your reasons are flawed, Natsu endured some of zeref's attack and you are saying Jacob > Natsu rofl.

Anyways, Jellal can't sustain Natsu's attack at all, he couldn't at toh and he won't now.
