Also Gray said during the Avatar arc that he has no idea why that black stuff started to appear on his body so i hope there will be more story about that in the future.
He first got that stuff on his body when he absorbed Mard Geers strongest attack so maybe it will change him for real eventually.

Yeah, Hiro is a big fan of videogames so it's not surprising that he would want to do some fan art. (especially given his talent for drawing) I think it would be cool for FT characters to cosplay as videogame characters too.
