Seriously, I like the idea of Natsu and Erza as a pairing. I'm not too sure what it is for me but there's some appeal there in seeing what'd happen if they ended up together. I mean, they both have the same sort of nakama views which is good, and they're pretty much close friends, so I guess part of me would be intrigued to see what'd happen between the two and around them if Naza did happen. I definitely wouldn't mind this pairing tbh, I think I would enjoy it more than NaLu.

That'd actually be interesting, especially since Natsu and Erza have meshed well together since her first appearance. Erza can be the firm, rational side to Natsu, whereas Lucy usually fails.

Nah it's no where near older women kind of relation ship, Natsu and Erza are portrayed as younger brother and older sister throughout the manga, Shipping them together as lovers is deforming the whole picture. Not to mention that Natsu won't be himself or comfortable in this relation ship. Same applies on Grayza.

I remember @Debonair Raven agreed with me awhile ago that Natsu is probably the least mature out of everyone in Team Natsu but for some reason I think he would be great in a relationship, like he would be a good partner . I mean he's not a pervert, there's only been 2 times where he has shown interest in seeing a girl naked: after Lucy's battle with Flare and when they were just peeping on the girls after their training for the GMG. Natsu's personality is probably the most welcoming and natural to work with the opposite sex to me, not saying he's smooth he's just compatible with a wider array of people

Well I always liked the couple, since the first appearance of Erza. That's where I saw your connection or compatibility.

Just a short context I found regarding GruVia in Chapter 453 from the-archangel-of-Zeref:
So when he tells Juvia to let him focus, he is telling us a lot more than just that. He has positive feelings, reciprocating feelings, for Juvia. He loves her– and the two of them just got done hearing Mavis’s story of love, and how it counteracted a curse as powerful as Ankhserum– but in a negative way. Gray is the Zeref to Juvia’s Mavis. She is all of the positive feelings and love, and for him to make his ace-in-the-hole work, he needs to be able to focus and fight without thoughts of her keeping him at bay. So he has stalled his answer, satisified the situation, given them both a reason to live… and at the same time sealed both of their fates by once again placing the death flag over Juvia’s head.

He doesn’t want a rerun of the dragon invasion, and his heart softens for her– but at the same time Gray is not willing to give her up. That’s why we didn’t get a rejection here, and it’s also why we didn’t get the negative, mean, hurtful conversation a lot of us were thinking we would get. Gray has listed Juvia as his future, and yet again unknowingly put the person he loves in danger. It’s a vicious cycle for Gray; it doesn’t seem to matter what he does, the people he loves dies.

Especially when everyone in the fandom only cares about Natsu ships like there's nobody else in the story and then complain when he gets panel time.

And Gray is a more sexualized male than Natsu thus he should be shipped more. And typically doesn't go around wanting to fight the females or is being a perve toward them. This Gray should have it pretty well with ladies.

I get people like the big 4 and they like smaller pairings like Graylu, Nali, Naza.

But this pairing gets a moments every 20-40 chapters. Yet. No love by fandom.

Why is this pairing hated?
