Huh... I didn't expect Takuan's author to be close enough to Sorachi that they'd go out drinking together.... Could we expect a gag manga from Itani in the future?

Hanazamurai no Sahara less than 2000? Wow, I really liked that manga, I was expecting a lot more.

Yeah I'm glad I'm not the only turned off by her from first glance. She isn't terrible but doesn't stand out like how you want the heroine (if it's her) to stand out. Hopefully she'll be like Nami, gets better along the way
With the pacing that the Demon's Plan has, she is standing out as any other (shallow) Shounen heroine. My problem is that you could turn her into an illiterate peasant girl that spent her whole life sweeping her evil mother's floors, and it would not affect the story at all (well, other than the way Boro meets her). I mean, an Information Broker as the heroine is a very cool idea and a great setup to make an interesting and cool character. An Information Broker should not be "Woah, I didn't know that! And I didn't know this either! Woah, look at all the stuff I didn't know about!" but "Yeah, let me tell you even more about it and even give you a way to fuck 'em all up!"

But let me return to what I mentioned at start of this post: the pacing. DP is sprinting waaay too fast, IMO. I appreciate that the first two chapters were fast-paced as they were, but after that you are expected to slow up a little, and use the slow down for character building, introducing new characters and world building.
But Boro immediately reached this city, immediately after got attacked and fought another Demon, immediately after met a new demon and that guy immediately introduces the first Shounen Villain Brigade of this Manga. It technically keeps the excitement constant, but that excitement is negated by a growing apathy towards the characters and the plot.
One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, MHA, HunterxHunter, DGM, Hitman Reborn, NuraMago, Fairy Tail, Dragon Ball, Mushibugyou... they all started semi-episodic and introduced their first Shounen Villain Brigade (and the first major arc) only after several of lighter arcs. Start the story, then start a series of short arcs that introduce recurring characters and plot elements and then, just as the readers start to feel a little bored and safe, you start the first exciting arc with the first high-level villains for which the fans will be saying "It gets good in the XYZ arc!". For a battle shounen, this is a proven winning formula.

Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions, but chapter 6 made me fear that the author is going to skip the traditional steps while not having the necessary amount of skill to score a good work without it. I mean, a group of people which kills entire armies without a sweat which is likely to come before ch10 is out (why otherwise introduce the entire group with such detailed designs)? This is waaaay too high-level for character whose story just started. If Boro can beat these people without having to build relationships with numerous characters, and without going through a lot of character and ability development, then what is there to be excited about? Where is the satisfaction of seeing a weakling steadily grow to become a world-renown hero?

Gintama was in that "end no end" the entire year and it ended up not ending in the end. I'm starting to see another Bleach in this one. I will give more 3~4 years until this ends.

The ending of Animored pretty much outright said it'd be continued in some way, so maybe it'll be a thing along with Ana no Mujina. Concept was okay, actual plot had the author's usual problem of being so obvious that after the first few pages I may as well have been looking at drawings of the plot twists in my head from five pages ago. The Neverland side chapter was also pretty cute.

There's a side chapter of Neverland on Jump Cross?

How do we go about reading it?
Took me either a few bucks or a quick Google search to get the magazine, plus like six years and counting to learn Japanese so you'll probably want to get started on that soon.

Nice Neverland chapter. Will need to re-read this when Viz SJ comes out since quality is pretty bad.

Looks like Tadahiro was possibly running a bit late with Yuragi 45, some of the pages looked off. That may just be it being a comedy chapter though.

Finished reading Jump X, there were a few good oneshots. Higuma no Te was my favorite, it would probably work really well as a series, which means that's never happening. Sky Claw was good as a oneshot, doubt it'll get serialized but the author had two oneshots in the issue and he only just turned 18 so he'll probably do more stuff soon. Two Lap was pretty funny, felt like something Haruhara Robinson would write, which is definitely a good thing. Everything else kind of sucked.

Animored seemed interesting, but I haven't read it properly yet. Neverland's chapter was hilarious. I hope it gets translated for others to read. It kind of makes me realise of how messed up the concept is though. Mum's been with the kids all their lives, watched them grow and had great memories with them and still has to ship them out to be killed. Fire Punch's special chapter was also hilarious.

so the artists must be very young, I was looking forward to Aisuru mono no tame ni since I already follow the artist on twitter and his art kinda reminds me of shaman king but not anymore
