I'm still at the point of thinking Black Clover is overhated and overrated at the same time.

Peoples criticisms towards the series are justified and the series' quality doesn't match its success.

However, it's not as bad as people who hate it make it out to be, and I'd say it at least deserves as spot in the magazine as a B-List series.

The last lest arc actually is pretty bad though

In 2016 TOC, which one had more cover leads between BNHA and Haikyuu and was replacing whenever OP was absent? That's probably who the editors will go with.

I can't give an opinion on BC until I check it for myself, the art doesn't look too bad though (unlike KnY which I haven't checked but I hate the art). I wanna wait till the anime before reading BC. If it's something like FT or Naruto knowing me I'll enjoy it cause battle shonens sell. Japan really does have different tastes though. For example, the parts in Souma this year that I liked they hated and it reflected in the rankings. The chapter threads on here didn't seem too savage, people complain but that's every chapter cause it's always gonna be a fault someone points out. Best to follow Leoat's advice and just check it for yourself. It's nice to get opinions and ideas of what a series is like from other people (everyone got recommended to read/watch something before) but the best judge of something is yourself.

Haikyuu being the choice is no surprise given how popular it is. HxH being even applicable makes no sense since the manga is nearing 20 years old and is barely in the magazine. I guess without the protection of editors people's true feelings about Black Clover comes to life as Saiki, World Trigger and Souma ranked higher than it.

For the first time Japanese readers get it right at the polls.
They are completely right.
Hunter x Hunter stays more in hiatus than publishing, so it cannot be the cover of the magazine.
My Hero Academia will not become the success you guys expect with the second season of the anime, no matter what you say.
The rest is not even worth mentioning.

Absolutely no surprise, Haikyu!! is the most popular Jump manga, other than Assassination Classroom, since Gintama.

i don't know where all this praise for golem hearts is coming from. It was a pretty standard one shot, nothing about it really stood out save for the main character wanting to be the second best instead of the number one. it wasn't really bad, it just didn't seem all that great.

about ole golazo, i believe its first ranking is this week. really anxious to see how it ranks. hopefully it at least gets mid ranked, but i'd love a top 4/5.

Similar feel to MHA imo. Nothing particularly original, and pretty much just followed the standard Shonen Blu print. But it did it very well

I don't even know why HxH is applicable. Its practically not in the magazine... if anything, Saiki surprised me the most. Considering how mediocre its sales are, it beat out so many popular series. Just goes to show those that read it love it, I guess. Also hopefully this means the Japanese somewhat like Ole Golazo, and it will survive at least one cancellation round. 37 votes is quite a lot for a brand new series I would have thought...

Or maybe it´s Amano´s writing? Her Main Characters are unbearable special snowflakes, and there are low stakes on the overall narrative when you think about it. Reborn may be a hit, but I think it´s now when they notice the cliche writing. No matter the studio is making the anime, if the content is cliche, it would make its manga sell less in the same way

It's a JUMP+ manga... Pretty much everything there is irrelevant. Excent maybe Eldlive (because now it has a anime). Shuumatsu no Harem (because it's the fanservice hardcore ****** perv dreamland) Fire Punch (still don't know why it's a "thing") and... what else? Can't remember right now.

In all seriousness, iShojo+ is doing pretty well, and Karada Sagashi is based off a popular novel series and sells decently on its own but I think it's ending soon.

You can dream with Pochi Kuro. How much is Ishojo+ selling? I doubt its as good as Shuumatsu no Harem or even eldlive.
