No success whatsoever... His works are pretty much spin offs of other mangaka or doujinshis . Rookie it is.
Can you tell me what your actual definition of what a veteran/rookie is? I'm not trying to sound mean, but after reading that, and that big debate a few days ago, I officially have no idea what your criteria is.

It's rather simple.

To me, a veteran is someone that not only published some manga (independently), but became relevant while doing so. It does not matter if it receive an anime, selling more than 100~200k per volume or received a relevant prize when was a rookie (like the GFE for instance) or anything like. It needs to be someone experienced creating a unique work (not doushinji or spin offs).

A rookie is somebody that is not a veteran.

Let's take Tsutsui Taishi for instance. He published more manga than Tabata and by no means is a veteran like Tabata. Still he is now serialized and can become a veteran if he can escape the cancelation demon.

It's not that difficult.

Mind explaining why Horikoshi is a veteran before MHA then? Not trying to attack you, just quoting you from couple days ago.

Regarding unique works, Esprit has 8 volumes, Fukashigi Philia has 3 volumes, plus couple more. Oumagadoki Zoo has 5 volumes, Barrage has 2 volumes.

The thing is, you contradict everything you want in a veteran with the Horikoshi post. Also, don't bring "irrelevant magazine" into this.

Why? Horikoshi is NOW a veteran because of MHA (exactly like Tabata). He scores all my criteria not only one: unique work, more than 100k per volume, anime...

It does not matter the number of volumes... The number of manga published... They are all BEYOND irrelevant in comparison to all the veterans being published or that will be in this next batch.

What else do you want?

I can understand why people would consider We Can't Study author a new comer, at least.

My confusion came from the Horikoshi post as well. You said that Horikoshi was a veteran before MHA. I guess you misspoke? In that case, fair enough.

EDIT: Went back to the comment, and maybe I'm confused because it was the person you replied to who was referring to pre-MHA Horikoshi. That would make more sense.

This is soo obvious... If this is not a 3 rookie 3 veteran batch... Why they would put 6 authors in a row... 2 of them being rookies and 3 of them being clearly veterans...

Really, why? :p

Thank you... I was trying to find this particular Horikoshi post and was unable to...

Did they need a reason for that? If they want to put 5 veteran and 1 rookie or 1 veteran and 5 rookies, it's their decision. We don't need to over-analyze everything.

Well do you really think that a rookie would have any chance being serialized after 3 veteran manga or 2 or even 1? I particularly don't think so.

Doing 3 rookie 3 veteran they can make the rookies fight rookies and veterans fight veterans. To me it's more fair.

I wouldn't call We Can't Study author a veteran or a rookie. More like up an coming. Same with Horikoshi before MHA started. Wouldn't say he was a veteran, but wouldn't say he was a rookie

Which post?
it's on page 111 about your convo with Xzone

And we can't study is a veteran , prefer him than for example , Boku no hero academia?
This post clearly means Horikoshi before he publishes MHA from your previous post. He has 2 failures. In which you response

Horikoshi is also a veteran.
If you misinterpret the post above, let's move on.

I interpret this post as Horikoshi is a vetaran before MHA.
If I misinterpret the first post, in which lead to misinterpret the second post then my bad :p.

Let's move on.

A veteran is somebody that have experienced publishing manga. It does not matter the magazine. It does not matter the genre.
Again, Espirit has 8 volumes if you want unique works, in Monthly Comic Blade
30 chapters = 30 months (2 years and a half). 8 volumes are the average for Monthly Comic Blade.

So i'm going to ask again, does Tsutsui Taishi qualify for your "veteran" logic?

From your meaning, there are 5 veterans (Dr Stone count as 2) and 2 rookies, 4 veterans series and 2 rookies series.

No there are 3 rookies and 3 veterans.

And yes I said Horikoshi is also a veteran. "Is" meaning NOW. Because of MHA. Before that, he was not. He was irrelevant. Nobody couldn't care less about his previous works (don't pretend that you all were big fans of his)

Tsutsui Taishi is a rookie. It doesn't matter if he published 1 one shot or 8 volumes of irrelevancies. Nobody cared about him (again, don't pretend that you were a fan of his)

It's beyond stupid to put him in the same league of Tabata, Boichi, Inagaki or Tadatoshi.

That's why he was put with another 2 rookies and not the 3 veterans. Let's move on, this is becoming repetitive.

Are you guys so desperate for that romcom to survive? Do you miss Nisekoi that much?

That's just sad.

No, you are the one overestimating him =)
He isn't a rookie how am I overestimating him he has a respectable amount of work he is experienced.

No one is claiming they are his fans it just people replying to your illogical claims. Relevance and popularity doesn't make a veteran it is experience you want to debate him being a veteran go ahead but he is by no means a rookie.

Now you're being a hypocrite. Based on your "logic"
Then Boichi is a rookie, he published in a irrelevant magazine (name me 1 popular manga in there that you and everybody know).
Monthly Comic Blade had ARIA, and now has Mahoutsukai no Yome and Amanchu. So definitely "relevant" enough.

25 volume of irrelevancies. 10 years of experience throw in vain. Tatsui has 7 years of experience in whatever you called "irrelevant"

*18,738 Sun-ken rock vol.11
The only one that made the cut since 2008 (Oricon).

That's YOUR logic. Make up your mind.
Just because you like Boichi you slap the veteran mark on him. While people you don't read you put a rookie mark and say they will failed.

Find me a spin off manga that manage to get 1/4 or 1/5 fans of the original series, and on Shonen Jump+ .

put back at page 111 you mentioned the fact that he had serialized 2 other series before My Hero making him a veteran?
People I like? I never said I am a MHA fan. And he published at least 3 manga in JUMP already. If he's not a veteran I don't how what da hell he is.
Speaking of Boichi i'm pretty sure Sun-Ken Rock didn't sell 100k a volume or his other series for that matter. So wouldn't Boichi be considered a irrelevant mangaka as well or a rookie mangaka in your definition?
if you're having a hard time understanding what the definition of a veteran it's "a person who has a long experience in a particular field." Which Tsutsui has
