Somewhat explained in volume 78 SBS. D stands for Dokusha (Reader) and O stands for Oda.
Oda is now one of my favorite heroes

Hey everyone. Nice to meet ya this my first post as u can tell

I think people dropped One Piece because its becoming a chore to do instead of fun most of the complaints I been hearing is that one piece rehashes the plot with each island or land they visit, they say its always about a land being controlled by the villian of that arc and People being enslaved by him or her and Luffy and the strawhats always come to save the day. this happens with 70% of the manga I think some just got bored with it. but then all long running manga suffer from getting stale I hope This does't happen with MHA or other current manga.
Not to say OP dont have arcs like this. But this is such a lazy attempt of knocking it off by its try hard dectrators(most who say this are Naruto stans/tards from what i notice)

Op has 29 arcs and there are at atleast 7-9 arcs of Luffy going to a new land and beating a dictator and freeing the people

Just this 2nd part of the series only has one arc that follows that structure(dressrosa) out of the 6-7 we had so far.

I understand if some dont like them types. But to act like thats all the story goes thru is ridiculous

I think it has something to do with the sheer amount of time One Piece has been running. Unless OP goes for a genre or tone shift there are only so many ways the audience can see the main cast in certain lights. Superhero comics seem to have this issue after going on for so long, so the universe reboots itself every so often to provide new avenues to explore established characters with. Not necessarily for the better though as seen in DC'New 52 lineup. However it can breath new life into a character if done right as seen in the Rebirth line or anything post-Crisis on Infinite Earth.
@bold
Yeah i agree. But i think Oda has done a good job showing the characters In different lights and switching tone/genre.

But that depends on what u see as genre tho. Mine might be different. But i think Oda done a good job.

Obviously he has restrictions like showing sex, and that stuff.

I have always had this on my mind.

Why dont we get Bleach and HXH overseas sale #s like we get with OP and Naruto?

Is it cause of lack of outside Japan popularity or...?

Interesting reading Kimetsu no Yaiba Omake, Gotouge's art seems much more natural in sketch form. It doesn't have the same issues her usual drawings have. Guess she just hasn't gotten used to inking yet.

Just read Hungry Marie and I think it's guaranteed flop unless Jump readers get mad. It was so boring that I really thought to stop in the middle of the chapter. It's the worst by far from the new series so far...

^ If you read Beelzebub you know exactly what you are getting yourself into.

If you haven't, this series humor is probably not for you and that's okay.

If you trust the Wikipedia and its source:
North American sales of the manga have also been high, with all volumes having sold over 1.2 million copies.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/pre...nce-at-2008-san-diego-comic-con-international

Published domestically by Viz Media, BLEACH manga volumes have sold over 1.2 million copies to-date in the United States and the series is serialized monthly in SHONEN JUMP magazine.
Published in 2008~

I'm going to be optimistic and say the European market is 3 times as large as the US market, which mean total copies sale of Bleach are about 5-6 million (maybe 7-8 million as a stretch) worldwide. <<all estimate, not actual number.

That's nothing compare to ~35 million OP worldwide (380-345), Naruto 70 million copies worldwide (~220-150), Dragonball ~90 million copies worldwide (240-150).

Heck, it isn't even as popular as Fairy Tail worldwide.

edit: it's late, my number might be off. If there is anything wrong i'll update it tmrw~

That's the problem with it, Hungry Marie is only good if you read and enjoyed Beelzebub, heck it spent half the chapter joking about it not being Beelzebub with a bunch of sameface (which non-fans obviously aren't going to get). There's not much there for new readers.

One chapter is not enough to jump to the gun, the first chapter was the foundation, whether the humor was good or not, what matters is the foundation was laid down good compared to the other new series that's still looking for their own foundation, I guess that's the difference between rookies and a veteran.

I didn't think any of the new series had a tough time with getting their foundations down it was just the execution that was lacking. Its easy to tell what you're going with your story its much harder to sell it to your audience to keep them invested. Most of the praise from Hungry Marie came from people who were fans of Beelzebub and were always going to like it because of the author, Poro and U19 are both coming from rookies so there's really no prior bias for them, We Never Learn is coming from the author of Nisekoi it pretty much works in reverse of Hungry Marie in that people were prepared to hate it on just from seeing who is behind it and this week you can guarantee that people will praise Dr. Stone because it has a very popular and prolific author working on it along with the writer of Eyeshield 21 regardless of quality.

Chapter 4 of We can't study's new character introduction was not handled well. Taishi could've dropped a hint or two over the last few chapters so the introduction of the new character wouldn't be as jarring as it was.

What a surprise, Marika 2.0. Sooner than I expected. I hope with all my heart that this flops more than Red Sprite and Love Rush.

And so, the quick asumptions that this is going to be a harem thing when there´s less than 10 chapters begins...

Or maybe is like Yuuna, where romantic developments happen later?

Thanks

OP actually has 60 million(was stated in December 2014)

So OP probably is around 70 million overseas by now.

Yeah. I think Bleach has around those numbers. Outside of America u dont hear about Bleach being popular except for a few countries where it has made a little noise.

At least her tan lines are nice. Chapter was hilarious and the comedy continues to be better than I would ever of thought. I see it lasting off of those traits and the likable girls alone.

Poro's chapter 2 was nice, I hope some scan pick it up soon enough. U19 chapter 3 was the best one so far, but it's still bad.
