Well, yeah we sort of do. As far as I understand it, the Hangout is a place where we can discuss the series in general. But it still has to be remotely Tokyo Ghoul related. That's my understanding anyway.

Anyway, if the anime is meant to be done by Pierrot its better if it never sees the light, the last thing readers want is to see a "TG root re".
We will always have the manga.

Deviating a bit like Daws did is fine. Conversations carried out in the Hangout don't need to be strictly related to TG as long as they stay within the limits of common sense.

To be honest, as much as I would rather an anime adaptation of :re never happened if it has to be handled like Root A (or make adjustments to its plot to make sense with that alternate storyline), I don't think whatever company's in charge is going to renounce the occasion of making another season. I'm pretty sure it will be made eventually.

Finally figured out why I'm so salty and pissed about Ishida treatment of Eto. Her being treated like a jobber is one of the reasons I'm pissed and salty. But that's not enough of reason why I'm so PISSED at her treatment. So I began to really think about it and then it hit me. It's because Eto feels like a tool Ishida used for his 3 Kings. A red herring for Arima, a worf device for Furuta and a power up exposition plot device for Kaneki. It's the exact same feeling I get from Rize character. So yeah Ishida strongest female character who happens to be the most unique thing in this world, feels like a device he used for his 3 Kings who happen to be male. And with that asshole being Ishida self insert there goes my hopes for his female characters. Yeah maybe I'm being a dramatic drama queen but it's honestly how I feel about this situation.
