Poro mangaka can't handle this lifestyle.
That feeling when the magazine was serializing 4 (and now 3) of the worst selling series in over a decade at once... It really does show the condition the magazine is in.*34,211 Isobe Isobee Monogatari 5

like someone already pointed out they say that about most new manga, it doesn't mean anythingThe beginning of the new Dr.Stone chapter has "The Extremely Popular Scifi Survival Story" written in the front of it.
Is this just a random message from the author, or does the editor already have an idea of how popular it is?
you sure about that?Well that message wasn't written in front of We Never Learn, Poro, and Hungry Marie on chapter 3. All of them just say something about it being a longer chapter. So that why this one stood out to me
the toc that say it's absent is fakePoro mangaka can't handle this lifestyle.
a reminder we didn't have digital sales back thenThat feeling when the magazine was serializing 4 (and now 3) of the worst selling series in over a decade at once... It really does show the condition the magazine is in.
You could have marked that part without cropping the image. Now you made me curious.you sure about that?

This is not true. There were no such messages for any of the new series so far.I'm sure they already know, but they say that about literally every new series.
Oooh I only looked at chapter 3 of the other serieslike someone already pointed out they say that about most new manga, it doesn't mean anything

Well it wouldn't make sense to have them in the volume. I find them to be pretty true for long series but yeah for newer series not so much. I think KnY had a similar message during it's first 10 or so chapters. Those texts on the first pages of magazine raws are always written by the editors as a way to "hype" up the chapter or whatever. The author has nothing to do with them, and they aren't in volumes. And yeah, most series seem to have the "super popular" or "rave reviews" comments on them. It doesn't mean anything.
I personally don't really care much for Dr. Stone, but I do agree overall it seems that it's one of the series that'll probably be around a for while. I'm interested in why some think it's the best out of the bunch. It's obvious that Dr. Stone is by far the most well received series of this new batch (so far)
).
While I do respect that the writer had a previous hit, I myself haven't read it but I hear it was pretty good, I don't see the story as cohesive as you said it is. I do agree that the educational parts are interesting discounting how last chapter they put in a part about making alcohol with what you need to make it (I still think that part should've been omitted just on principle that there is still a chance that that the reader would try to make it themselves even with the disclaimer that it's illegal) the part that is really a turn-off to me is that it's supposed to be a survival based series I don't get the em init danger of getting killed by some random animal that is need in a survivor type story, I do have another slightly less significant problem with the series both main characters are city born( I assume by the context of the first chapter) how do they automatically know how to survive out in the wilderness.Pretty much because of the hype of such a famous duo (it's not that common in jump's story for famous mangaka to combine in serializations like that). The art is superb, the story is cohese and have a definite objective. It's inteligent and with a different premise. The educative part is really interesting without being tiring.
It's that kind of manga where you can have fun and learn stuff at the same time. Like AssClass was.
I would be surprised if it won't get at least a rank 3 on toc 5 weeks from now.
If they start telling the readers what they should or not to do with what's explained in manga, the whole industry will fell apart. While I do respect that the writer had a previous hit, I myself haven't read it but I hear it was pretty good, I don't see the story as cohesive as you said it is. I didn't mean it like I ment it as more of a way to prevent Shounen Jump from any negative drawbacks if they so chose to try making it themselvesIf they start telling the readers what they should or not to do with what's explained in manga, the whole industry will fell apart.
You realize Japan is different than America right? Stop looking at things from an American perspective on how things would be taken.I didn't mean it like I ment it as more of a way to prevent Shounen Jump from any negative drawbacks if they so chose to try making it themselves
Pretty much how i feel, it's the most complete work. We will see if it blossoms into a great manga.Pretty much because of the hype of such a famous duo (it's not that common in jump's story for famous mangaka to combine in serializations like that).
