Yep, exactly I just took the first image from google image!

Are you not reading what I'm writing, or is my writing totally wrong? I said when the people doing the movies and specials go to make an episode of the TV Show! Oh, you didn't know that happens? Yep, it does.

Oh, look I easily found a "impressive" Toei Animation sakuga that is not done by Shida:

Here an One Piece one as extra:

Okay...Why did you just ignore my point of Toei not being able to animate KnY? I'll include what I said previous post here which I edited in too late:

Toei hasn't done recent dark/gritty shows. It's not part of their norm either so they are definitely not the perfect candidate to animate KnY.

Not as good as Shida.

Dead last.
We have to save this place to Hungry Marie, but I think it can go there temporarily... XD
It was the most unremarkable of the series... It didn't excite me much after three chapters although I think the concept is interesting...

Now that "We can't Learn" surpassed all the expectations in its first ranking, what do you guys predict for U19?
Now that we are talking about an action series the opinion will probably be less biased and you guys have more chance of getting it right. XD
Predicting 7/8 POSSIBLE 9th place while I did enjoy what little I was able to read of it I don't see it much higher then around the middle area

Not as good as Shida.

So we go from "only Shida" to "Not as good as Shida". Such quality consistency! With that flexibility I can win any argument as well.

So not doing recently any dark/gritty shows and not being their norm is the determining factor for them being the perfect candidate or not. The fact that they done more and better series of that genre/kind is not determining factor, but resting period and proportion, Really?
So if Production I.G decides to rest from doing Sport anime for 3-4 years, they loose their statute of great Anime Studio to do Sport series? Suddenly they aren't a good sport anime studio?
For your information the last Folklore Youkai series done by Toei Animation was in the end of 2013, practically 3 years from now, Kyousogiga! Go watch it, is done by the director that later did Kekkai Sensen!

About the proportion. What has the fact that a Studio does more a certain kind of genre(battle for example), has to do with its capability in doing a different genre? They are completely unrelated and so that fact is irrelevant.

Instead of making stupid arguments, please present examples of studios that have more experience and/or history with the kind of series like Kimetsu no Yaiba, Horror Folklore. It will be a better and more productive conversation. And I can learn more about interesting series and more about animation studios.

Pretty much everyone who knows how Jump operates knew it would survive.

one of the hosts said they need a romance series since Nisekoi is over and he told Sasaki to force the guy in charge (i forgot his name) to make them work on We never learn

to which Sasaki replied there's no need for that followed by a cheeky "awwww" from the rest of the hosts

Because not that many people gave a shit about it, it was mainly about anticipating Marie and Dr. Stone, and shitting on U19. People wrote off We Can't Study fairly early so it didn't really matter.

Nope, it's true, not as good as Shida and yes only Shida has impressive animation. Other than it's just either good or subpar. The one you showed were good but not on Shida's level nor impressive.

Yes, you bozo. It's been like decades since they've done one with a lot of blood/gore that is like horror. That example isn't even relevantly similar. IG resting from doing sports anime for 3-4 years is not like Toei resting from working on dark anime like Devilman decade(S) ago. Devilman is probably the best (or one of the best) examples that you should be using from Toei's works since not only did it include monsters but it was dark/gritty. However that was ages ago and you can't be using it to justify CURRENT Toei. The 70's & 80's were a different time and it's clear as day that Toei changed a lot so it's not like they stayed the same.

Here is example of Devilman, a WSJ title too. This shows the OVA's which were darker than the regular TV show airings, obviously and not sure if it was even animated by Toei. Oh well but you can see the use of darker color and also blood/gore helps a lot. You need both.

You can even look at how more serious DBZ looks in comparison to DB:S. DB:S looks kiddy with it's vibrant colors in comparison to DBZ which used darker colors which helped to set the tone for serious moments. Toei has clearly changed a lot from even the 90s to now. Timeslot can be factored into it but even if it had a pretty late timeslot; I doubt KnY would look nearly as dark as the manga.

I know about Kyousou Giga, good show but just because they did that doesn't mean they should do Kimetsu No Yaiba. KnY is more darker/grittier and Toei shows don't really use colors like that to complement it.

These studios can capture a dark/gritty series quite well. The examples I'm providing aren't all obviously under horror/youkai folklore. It's just showing that they can make shows with a dark color palette, which KnY needs. Sunrise, Madhouse & MAPPA are my top 3 picks though.
-Sunrise (Inuyasha/Final Act)
-Madhouse (Hellsing Ultimate/Death Parade/Parasyte)
-MAPPA (Ushio to Tora)
-Bones (I didn't really nominate this studio but they could work well.)

Just having a history of Youkai anime isn't good enough. If the studio, Toei in this case, refuses to use a darker color palette for their shows then KnY won't be great in their hands. Unless you want a watered down version.

Devilman is a shonen magazine series.

With "We can't Study" practically confirmed for ESJ, which will be the other ones?
Dr. Stone will probably be one of them, I can't deny that... Well, after the third chapter, which was much better than the previous two, I can give it a chance if it really goes published in ESJ. The last one I hope it is Poro, I need to read more! It is so good!
There isn't any particular reason for Hungry Marie to have special treatment in this matter. Although Tamura is a veteran, Beelzebub was never published in the US by VIZ and the series was not remarkably popular any way as far I know, so there is no reason to assume that Hungry Marie has a reserved spot in this. This helps Poro case, principally if it goes well in its first rankings.

I wonder how viz will announce their picks, if we'll see one on monday and the others later or if they'll wait and announce them all at once either when robo ends or when they have its 3rd chapter poll results.

The Can't Learn chapters are already piling up so if they are indeed planning to keep it around it'll take a while to catch up, even if they announce it on Monday then do double chapters every issue afterwards they'd still be behind until May. Though I suppose they could just run it mostly normally in April perhaps just with one or two doubles then do a special catch up issue when jp jump is off for Golden Week.

I think they could make good use of their free manga section and put all chapters there and start in ESJ from the most recent.

Yep, peak a old series and say that is the last thing the studio did about it.

Like there isn't Mononoke and Hakaba no Kitaru and Gegege no Kitaro. You know stuff like Inuyasha went from 2000 to 2004, but what I'm talking aired in 2007 and 2008. Oh, you will talk of Inuyasha the final Act, that aired 5 years after the first series. I didn't watched it, but by your logic Sunrise probably lost their Youkai Folklore experience and quality during that rest time. Like you're assuming Toei did.

Using Devilman as the last time Toei did such a thing is ridiculous. They every decade did Gegege no Kitaro. They right now are only missing 2010s

Also is funny, you start talking of Gore and dark and gritty series and you come talking of Inuyasha? Seriously? And You use the example of Madhouse also? Really? The studio that people complain about their bright color palette, kiddy designs and inadequate mood for dark series(like their music) that ton of people complain about their series, like HxH(Is one main complain about the difference of 1999 and 2011 anime. And not only in the west but also Japan. And probably the reason many people didn't bought the disks of it), Parasyte with the totally different designs that make things more kiddy too, the brighter palette and the so DARK music(sarcasm). And Death Parade, really? The dark and gritty series that has this opening:
Yep, look at the palette of Death Parade so DARK and Gritty, ... NOPE.

And Hellsing Ultimate is not even made by Madhouse. The main studio was and is Satelight, it produced, planned and designed everything about the series. Madhouse is just a subcontracting studio that did 3 episodes, from a total of 10 episodes.
Satelight did alone the first 4 episodes(they took 3 years to be released), did you noticed the difference in color palette, designs, music, animation and other things from those 4 episodes and the other 6 ones? Nope, Why? Because all the other studios just followed Satelight guidance, and yep there are other studios other than Madhouse that cooperated in the creation of Hellsing Ultimate.
I don't know why people love to call Madhouse to the front when talking Hellsing Ultimate.

MAPPA Ushio to Tora is also a good example ... or actually NOPE! MAPPA is the exact same thing as Madhouse in terms of this, and it also has those same complains. In fact MAPPA is just Madhouse studio that was created when Maruyama bankrupted Madhouse and was expelled from it, and with that decided to create another studio.

Yep, Bones could work because ... yep ultra convicing.

Do you want stuff with a good mood for Horror Folklore? Here an example(And yep it is Toei Animation):

Looks like I am sorta correct on TPN. It's not "battle of the wits" that makes it great and enjoyable. It's the "shocking moment" from the incredible artwork to create suspense since chapter 1. Props to the author to think of these moments and HUGE props to the artist to convey it.

Ah, and the last dark and gritty thing I can remember from Toei animation was done in 2012. Yep, 2012. Asura:

And if we count Captain Harlock is 2013, which mood is pretty dark and gritty.

But you know. Toei Animation does nothing dark and gritty since 1973 Devilman.

I dissagre about ushio to tora being gritty(yes,it have horror , bodyhorror , fucked up moment, but it was a Black/white story) but using an opening to say "this isn't dark" is stupid.
