That was a damn good trailer for Black Clover.


And although I'm not a huge Clover fan, but like Naruto(part 1), I honestly prefer Yuno over Sasuke as far as rival characters are concerned.
Sasuke was such a dick that I couldn't bring myself to like him, ever. I kind of like how that even though Yuno is Asta's rival he's extremely nice to him as well

Correct me if I am wrong but it is not usual that the PVs of new series only show scenes of their first episodes, it is more, most of the first PVs of new series are usually the announcements of the voices.
I think the PV of Black Clover looks good and the one that they took the so long is not bad, nor does show that their production schedule is in trouble.

Noelle is in the PV in a quick shot I believe. So probably the first 2 or 3 episodes

While we can't judge the series entirely on a PV, the background art is definitely beautiful. Its almost too beautiful to such an extent that we might have to worry that the characters might not mesh with the background. Black Clover's biggest competitor these next 6 months is definitely the Ancient Magus' Bride. While the focus is entirely different, the fantasy world aspect will definitely draw some comparisons. Black Clover has the advantage from a timeslot viewpoint as its an evening as opposed to the late night of Magus' Bride, thus not having to worry about disc sales, the boost is the key to look for here.

If anytning his and Asta's relatiosnhip is more akin to Hinata amd Kageyama.

Although tbh, with the clear Miura influence, i think Yuno will end up becoming a poorly written Griffith.
End up joining and taking over White Knights Eye.
I mean it's obvious Licht and Vengeance have a connection and there's no way Vengeance ain't evil.

Correct me if i'm wrong but Most of the cuts in the Pv are from Ep 01, damn the production schedule is probably not that good, even talented Director like Tatsuya Yoshihara can't save this show....

Half the shots are from the diamond fight which ought to be towards the end of the cour (unless they rush).

Now that it's pretty obvious who's getting axed. What kind of series do y'all actually want to read in Jump?

Obviously, I want a fun battler.

Jump needs battle manga. The current battle manga ratio in the mag is disgraceful. Young people need this outlet.

I want more action and adventure series next round.

No more high school settings please

No more romance/harem, and sports series please.

And we don't need more gag series

I just want next round to have a couple action adventure, and maybe a wild card like a mystery series or dramas

I will not count right now because I'm lazy, but I think almost half (or half) of the magazine is battle shounen? I think variety is the best for Jump, it has been successful in the last years in this regard, that's why you guys are complaining in the first place, because you think there isn't battle shounen enough. We know that the editors only give the first push serializing what they think it has potential, but after that it is for the readers to decide and by the current line up we can see clearly that the readers desire variety. I just hope for good series, no matter the genre.

Out of 23 series in the current lineup. A plurality but not quite dominant.

ESJ has a better ratio.

But you said "loose", but actually your definition was very strict. For me Shokugeki no Soma is pure battle shounen. Also, if you want to force a bit more, every sports manga is also a kind of battle shounen, all of them gives the same excitement for me, but in different ways.

I suppose that's a fair comparison. A lot of the tropes are shared.

I actually associate sports manga with a mellow slice of life vibe: Slam Dunk, Sesuji, Hikaru no Go.

funny enough, there was an airplanes racing with weapons oneshot not too long ago in Grand Jump and it was everything I imagined and wanted in my prefect car racing manga (the mangaka was also a fellow bnha fan according to his introduction page so there's that)

I might upload the raw if I find them in my pc

Just want more battle manga, a Mass Effect one would be too cool. None of this "cute boys" playing sports or bottom-tier beta romances. Trust me, I like romances but I don't get the same thrill as I do w/ battle mangas. Anything that's interesting enough for me to look into I'll check out but my first preference wouldn't be a sports or romance. Wouldn't mind a drama/psychological in the mold of Erased.

Hori's assistant from BnHA vol. 15, you can see the name Kousuke Fushimi (The Map mangaka) on Fatgum, so I guess he isn't starting a series soon

also, this is unrelated but you can see the name Keisuke Ikeda on Mirio
everyone that was with him in GFC have already become a mangaka, even the losers

everyone except him, although if you ask me he have way more potential than all 3 combined

he made 2 really cool oneshots Inpwear Code and Tenjou no All-wand
he needs to follow it with a series like yesterday, he's talented


also, I have no evidence of this what so ever, but I'm 99.99999% sure the guy that draw Nejire in that page Yokoyama, is just Yoco Akiyama ( Saguri-san Tankentai) mangaka using a fake name, just look at the art and tell me that this is a different person
