Dude, he's a superhuman. A normal person can survive after losing 40% of his blood. The Injuries Zoro has is nothing for a superhuman.
Seriously, bother even reading? Zoro is not superhuman, especially in the world of One Piece. But I am tired of repeating myself. He is like that, that is Zoro, he can endure anything. But that is litterally armor plot, do not even care good or bad: just saying, not matter the injuries Zoro will not die.

White beard was called the strongest man alive. I'm sure he din't get that title by ending every fight he had with other strong people in a draw. Kaido and Big Mom couldn't become pirate king because there was a man stronger than them at the time. You cannot become the pirate king If you are not the strongest man in the world. Now that the strongest man in the world is gone the throne wars have started. They are fighting over the throne of the pirate king that they couldn't get earlier due to white beard.
And it was said WhiteBeard was as powerful as Roger. Hmm I wonder how that can be, Roger was the Pirate King but there were people as strong as him? Hulala, is that possible

lol, Perospero captured the enemy and now he's torturing them. That's how it happens all the time. Bad guy captures his enemy and tortures him. How else does it happen?.

You said, the 3 minute time taken for Perespero's ability is BS, because it was convenient for the protagonists. I used snake poison as an example to show that happens in real life too. It doesn't Instantly kill a person. It takes time.
Are you seriously comparing the ability of guy turning people in candy with a snake to tell me it is normal it takes 3 minutes? You could just have a better example of how long it takes to suffocate someone. But seriously, just nitpicking and not on the point.
I just think the switch from I let you go to I torture you to death, + the 3 minutes thrown randomly + the repetion of the situation it is poor writing. Do you understand? Or you want to get me countless examples in real life totally irrelevant to what I say?

Dude, one piece or whatever fictional world or real world. You can't physically overpower someone stronger than you. That's basic logic.
If you are still thinking, in One Piece it comes down to "pure strength", and do not take into consideration the powers you did not understand anything. There are countless fights in One Piece where it is not the "strongest" who wins.

When did that happen? When did akainu beat white beard? Which chapter?
WhiteBeard on his knees, unable to react facing AkaInu, if you consider Aka Inu was beaten by Whitebeard later on, same same.

There is a lot of talks about whether he is strong enough to be pirate king or if he needs to defeat all yonkos to be PK, I'd say you missed the main point, he needs to find raftel to become PK, not more not less. If he has to clash with yonkos on a way to raftel, ok, but we can see he is incapable of defeating one like at all, so in my opinion this story isn't about defeating anyone but about finding the best way to the raftel.

Hell, Roger became a pirate king but we know he beat Shiki on one occasion because of luck - a storm took out most of Shiki's fleet.

Shiki and Roger had fought on many occasions...and actually, that wasn't a duel that we saw between Shiki and Roger, it wasn't a fist-fight, it was a battle between ships.

If you read what it says, it says Roger's SHIP was faced with certain doom, not Roger himself. Sunny being faced with certain doom isn't the same thing as Luffy being defeated. Even Bobbins could probably destroy the Sunny, doesn't mean he could defeat Luffy. A ship doesn't indicate anything about the strength of a character, but of a ship.

Look how many ships Roger's ship is faced against? This isn't a fist-fight, but a sea-battle.

Roger was so powerful, Shiki couldn't believe even the Marines could capture him,

Shiki openly admitted that Roger was a wall before both himself and Whitebeard due to his strength. Roger was the strongest. Crocodile even states this too that Whitebard and Roger were Pirates no one could defeat. Roger was the only one to defeat Whitebeard which is why when he died, the age belonged to Whitebeard.

Even Chinjao has said it, to become Pirate King, you must be able to defeat the Yonko and Admirals, in essence, you must be the strongest. Luck is a huge part of being able to be Pirate King, but without strength, it's impossible. It's why Blackbeard said this age belonged to him after acquiring the Gura Gura no Mi and killing Whitebeard, he deemed himself the strongest. No one can become Pirate King without strength.

Luffy will indeed need to become the strongest in order to be Pirate King.

And people misunderstand what a PK is from Luffy's perspective.

What is a hero? From my definition it is someone who help people selflessly.

Luffy: someone who shares meat with others.

But does Luffy know that he is a hero in many people's eyes? No.

Similarly, Luffy's definition of PK is different from others. This is shown in SA when talking to Rayleigh.

Luffy's definition of PK: pirate with most freedom.

Before just skipping over what I have written, think over it.

For a pirate to have freedom and not be on the run from Marines and other pirates, the only way is to become strong.

Luffy doesn't actively look for One Piece. Rayleigh was ready to tell about One Piece when Usopp aksed him. However, Luffy stopped him and said that he doesn't care if OP exist or not, he only cares about the adventures. Ofc, Luffy will find it in the end because of his crew, especially Robin.

Kaido wants to become the PK as well. We also know that Kozuki Oden was tortured by Kaido. The only reason I think he tortured Oden is for the information about Raftel and OP since Oden was part of Roger's crew.

These pirates are actively seeking for OP and will do anything for it. Then there is Luffy, only need to ask Rayleigh and will be told.

Crocodile who actively seeked for Pluton. Robin knows where Pluton and Poseidon is. If Luffy required he can have these Ancient Weapon. No one will be able to stop him. He can easily become the PK that way.

Big Mom wants an alliance with the Giants for the strongest military power and can become PK. Then there is Luffy who rejected the Grand Fleet proposal initially.

Luffy is different. In every way.

Did you watch the anime? In the anime WB is on his knees for a long period of time and also there is the flashback which seems to make WB on his knees for a long period of time.

In the manga the fight only lasts for a double page. WB never went to his knees.

I just reread the manga. In the anime WB gets two holes in his chest courtesy of Akainu. In the manga it only happens once when WB gets a heart attack.

The difference is, all of them were one time incidents. Pirate king is a status. He needs to maintain it. Someone can't be pirate king just because he won against yonkos one or twice due to luck. Luffy might have to fight a yonko hundreds of times. Luck is not going to help him that many times. Durability and Intelligence are part of fighting strength.
His luck isn't a one-time incident, it's happened over and over, and it can happen against the Yonkou too, provided they're still standing after Luffy and/or his allies beat them. Luck will continue to help him as long as he has fate on his side. Still doesn't need to be the strongest.

He was knocked out by white beard. He managed to get up later, still counts as defeat. For example:- Luffy was able to get up after fighting against crocodile for the first time, but it was still considered a defeat. White beard could've ended Akainu's life If he wanted to. Akainu wouldn't have been able to defend himself.

Sorry, I don't get what you're trying to say here.

Nobody messes with the yonko commanders because they're scared of the yonkos. There are many people capable of taking down a average yonko commander, but they don't do it because of the yonkos. Even Buggy mentioned this once "whatever you do, don't mess with white beard's crew"
How does it when Akainu still got back up and nearly killed Jinbei and Luffy? It was not a defeat if Akainu was still able to get back up and fight. If Whitebeard could have finished off Akainu, why didn't he? Why just take him down and be satisfied with it? Luffy couldn't, and he would have died if Robin didn't save him.

Yonkou are likely at a high level where they could likely fight for days, whereas Luffy can't even fight for a full day against someone like Cracker. He's severely outmatched and out of his league right now. There's a reason why Luffy keeps running instead of standing his ground and refusing to budge, only challenging Big Mom periodically.

The Marines certainly weren't scared enough to earn Whitebeard's wrath when they decided to execute Ace. And Buggy's crew is different from the Marines, whose supposed duty is to protect the people from bad people like pirates. So, it is weird that they haven't tried to kill or even arrest a Yonkou commander.

Was that canon? It was never mentioned that Roger was losing. It was basically like the incident that happened at the end of dressrosa arc. Thousands of pirates came to kill Luffy and Law because they defeated Doflamingo and Fujitora killed them all. If he hadn't done that then Luffy would've killed them all instead. Roger got lucky, that doesn't mean he would've lost otherwise.
I think so? I remember that he was overwhelmed by the large size of Shiki's fleet, and the main reason he was saved was because of his luck. While Roger wasn't technically losing, it was assumed by he and many that he'd have lost had Shiki's full fleet come at him. So hence, luck saved Roger, not power. Though technically, you could say a combination of both because Shiki didn't fight Roger after most of his fleet was decimated. It was implied he would have lost.

Seriously, bother even reading? Zoro is not superhuman, especially in the world of One Piece.
Zoro is a superhuman....Not on a Yonkou level, maybe, but he's still freakishly powerful and durable.
Luffy doesn't actively look for One Piece.
He does.... He just doesn't care as much about One Piece as he does about adventure.

Not nitpicking, abilities take time. He wanted to let them go--->But they chose to fight him---> HE decided to teach them a lesson.

Yeh, but doffy's ability works due to physical strength. He attaches his strings on his opponents and controls them by pulling the strings. Someone who's physically stronger than him can pull the strings back.

I'm not sure about that. He can't live as the pirate king and enjoy his freedom knowing he's only alive because he's extremely lucky.

Remember how doflamingo was one King kong gun away from defeat but still managed to beat viola+Rebecca+the fodders. Akainu is on another level, he doesn't need strength to fight these guys. White beard could've ended Akainu's life If he wanted to, Akainu wasn't in any shape to defend himself. Whitebeard left him because he thought Akainu was done for. Just like how most of the people in dressrosa though Doflamingo was defeated.

I thought that was from the anime. Anyway, it was never explicitly stated that Roger was losing. As far as I remember, it was simply "Roger won, he was lucky" not "Roger won, only because he was lucky"

Luffy can given his self-confidence, and as long as he knows he can or will win. Luffy isn't the kind not to enjoy his freedom when he thinks or knows he can win his fights. I mean, I'm pretty sure Luffy is running from Big Mom not because he thinks he'd lose, but he thinks it'd take too long to beat her, and they don't have the time when there's Kaidou to deal with.

Akainu wasn't done for, he popped up and kept fighting as if Whitebeard didn't do a thing to him. A loss would be if Akainu couldn't have kept fighting, which applied to Luffy against Crocodile as he was in no shape to fight.

It's combination of strength and luck. I'm saying he doesn't have to be the strongest, as long as he has luck and durability. Basically, I'm disagreeing with the notion that the pirate king has to be the strongest, and as we have seen many times the Straw Hats can be inferior and still win. It's not about being the strongest as it is about being able to beat his opponents; if strength was everything then Nami and Usopp would constantly be losing their fights.

I don't watch anime. And again, I never said Roger was losing, but it was implied he would lose if they fought given how outnumbered he was. It's hard to argue against his luck being why he won given the storm appeared out of nowhere, wiped out most of Shiki's fleet, and Shiki surrendered before he even fought Roger.

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how the Straw Hats escape. Katakuri is proving to be more than a match for Luffy, and there's Big Mom to deal with. They can't escape without Sanji either, and who knows how long it'll take for the trio to make the cake. Plus, Lufy and others can't run and leave the ship, Brook, and Chopper in the condition that they're in, if Perospero doesn't go down or has his power canceled out. Too much variables, so there's something to look forward to, I guess.

Still, didn't she settle for the treasure from Fishman Island because they lost a ship?
She rather decided to destroy the strawhats rather than fishmen Island and accepted the challenge of Luffy.

Zoro is superhuman even in the one piece world. There are lots of normal people:- Makino, Vivi, Nami. They are all normal people. No normal person is capable of matching Zoro's strength and endurance.
Does not make him superhuman... he is way more trained and stronger, still has the same body as these people. Again, you just speak but you have no clue. Shanks is normal unless proven otherwise, you think he stands no chance against Zoro?

Yeah, along with white beard, he was the strongest man alive.
Thank you for agreeing that many people can be the strongest, I see you got the point.

Yeh, but doffy's ability works due to physical strength. He attaches his strings on his opponents and controls them by pulling the strings. Someone who's physically stronger than him can pull the strings back.
Which chapter was that explicitly mentioned?

Remember how doflamingo was one King kong gun away from defeat but still managed to beat viola+Rebecca+the fodders. Akainu is on another level, he doesn't need strength to fight these guys. This is non sense, and again Akainu could have ended him first if he really wanted to chapter 568. And again it is your assumption, he just sent him flying away with one punch. And seriously read the manga, you know why he stopped? because at this moment Blackbeard and his crew showed up.

Again, you're wrong.

It's explicitly stated you have to be the strongest to be Pirate King.

It's stated that to be Pirate King, you must stand on top of other Potential Pirate Kings meaning you must be stronger.
He is right and these pages display a bad translation. Pirate King is about many things, you have to be ultimately, strong but does not mean you stand above the others by your strength. Roger was challenged by Shiki and WhiteBeard who were as strong as him and not even talking about the marines. Was it a difference of strength that gave the title to Roger? NO.

That's irrelevant, that was in the past. The situation has changed. He's come to her territory and sabotaged her plans to be Pirate King. Even Jimbei said if they make Big Mom mad or if he leaves, Fishman Island would incur the wrath of Big Mom.

Again this is wrong. To stand on top of others means to be the strongest.

And it's false to claim it's a bad translation when the official says the same thing, so your argument here is just moot.

Pirate King isn't about anything other than Conquering the Grand Line and it's impossible to do so without defeating the Yonko and Admirals.

Whitebeard and Shiki got stopped by Roger, they tried to become Pirate King but failed, that's why Shiki said Roger was a wall to them. So, it's a fact, he was the strongest.

Hell, Whitebeard was never considered the strongest UNTIL Roger died. Roger was the Pirate King because he was the strongest. Without strength, you can't defeat the other Emperors, take their Poneglyphs and obtain the One Piece.

If you can't defeat the Emperors and Admirals like Chinjao stated, there's no way to become Pirate King.
Well to be fair, Chinjao failed to become Pirate King. I'm not sure he is an expert on how to become Pirate King. You wouldn't ask some failed businessman the best way to run a successful business would you? It seems like taking advice on how to achieve your dreams from someone who failed to achieve those dreams is not the best way to achieve your dreams.

Unless the business man knew what he did wrong and realises his mistakes. In Don Chinjao's case it was strength. He did not have enough strength but knows that you need strength to become PK.

And your example is flawed! Information is very valuable.

Joker's subordinate explained how the DF pases on after the user dies. Do we believe him since he hasn't died? This is why we need to analyse the information. We need to listen to the info and determine if there is any truth in it. Same for Don Chinjao's case.

He said you need to become strong enough to go up against the 4 emperors and navy admirals. Is that true? Well if you read what @Hannibal Psyche posted above then I believe that Don Chinjao's words are credible.

Don't wanna be a party destroyer, but isn't Buggy the living counterexample to the following claim "to stand on top of others means to be the strongest" ?

Buggy was made a warlord by the world government because they feel he can intimidate other pirates either by his strength or by the strength of his crew. However, if there isn't anyone in his crew that can go toe to toe with admirals or yonkas, his crew probably won't last a day if they've got what the whole world is searching for ( onepiece ) as they will be hunted down by all the big guns.

In the case of the strawhats, I don't think any of his crew member is gonna be stronger than he is, hence he needs to be strong to deter those big guns when he finally becomes the pirate king. Whether he'll be the strongest or someone from his crew, I don't know, but strength here is definitely key, as without it, they won't even last enough to get to raftel.

In reality he isn't! If a pirate like Kid, Law or Luffy want/need to, they can take Buggy's crew out. It's the pirates who hide/move/act like cowards in the NW who are scared of Buggy's crew. They are scared of the rumours and consequences. Makes Buggy's crew look strong.

Look at Bartolomeo, he isn't scared of Shanks. His fanboy actions are over the roof!

I just rather check better translation, that I know of quality and reliable. Even so, you are still putting your own interpretation in it and change the meaning. Especially in this case Chinjao refering to Luffy's conqueror haki and if he wants to be a king.

Pirate King isn't about anything other than Conquering the Grand Line
Doing so by being the strongest? No.
Did Roger became pirate king by defeating whitebeard, shiki and all the admirals? No.

Your interpretations are flawed. Roger being pirate king did not mean there was not anybody who could fight against him 1 vs 1. And what will you say when alliances of pirates will take down emperors, so far it was never going to be Luffy vs an emperor. And the most dangerous capacity of Luffy is to bring people together on his side. Again, likely he will defeat people with help on his side.

Does he have to be the strongest. Not necessarily.
Does he have to be strong? Yes, without a doubt.

Nope, you're wrong. It's not my own interpretation. Hell, Chinjao said the only person he saw being capable of being Pirate King was Blackbeard because of how powerful he was. There's no way to defeat the Emperors or Admirals without power.

He even went on to state "If you can only match me in my current fangless state, there is no hope for you... to be Pirate King". The entire thing is alluding to strength. You can harp on about translation, nonetheless, it's about strength whether you want to accept it or not.

Heck, it clearly went over your head what Chinjao is saying about Conqueror's Haki. Those are people with the potential to be Pirate King is all Chinjao is alluding which is why the moment Luffy used King's Haki, he asked Luffy what sort of King he wanted to be.

How else do you stand atop other people aiming to do the same thing you want to do? It's by fighting them and proving superior and in this case, only strength determines that.

How did Luffy even defeat Chinjao, with just Haki? No, they still had to clash fists, so unless you're stronger than these King's Haki users, you're not going to be Pirate King.

You're going on about translation when it's from the official VIZ? Then you clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Did Roger became pirate king by defeating whitebeard, shiki and all the admirals? No.
Actually, yes. He used to fight with Whitebeard and Shiki all the time.

So, you definitely have no idea what you're talking about when it was stated that Roger was NEVER defeated. And he was someone who fought with Shiki and Whitebeard all the time, so he clearly defeated them when even they themselves stated that it was Roger who stopped them from becoming Pirate King.

It really isn't rocket science. How else do you stop the likes of Whitebeard, the strongest man in the world only after Roger? By sitting down and drinking Coffee? No, by force.

And what will you say when alliances of pirates will take down emperors, so far it was never going to be Luffy vs an emperor.
This makes 0 sense.

Alliances are needed. Even the Yonko need allies and even Big Mom herself is trying to increase the size of her own Army. Is it because she's weak? by your rationale, needing an army or an alliance means weakness, but that's ridiculous. Numbers are always needed and Big Mom is still powerful regardless of needing an Army. Therefore, Luffy needing an alliance to take down a Yonko doesn't take away from his strength.

Even the strongest man cannot match the power of numbers. It's like you don't understand challenging the Yonko is like challenging an entire Nation. Big Mom's territory has about what, 34 Islands? That'd make 34 ministers, each minister has its own army and the ministers themselves are strong. And you think Luffy can just waltz in there and do as he pleases?

Look at how big an Emperor's crew is? You think even if Luffy alone was going to challenge the Emperor, he wouldn't have to get through their massive army? then their commanders? No matter how strong you are, if you don't have the numbers to take down the fodder, you'll never be able to even go 1 on 1 against an Emperor.

Luffy is the protagonist, he's going to surpass Roger and become Pirate King. If Roger was superior to Whitebeard who was the strongest in the world, then it's just common sense, by the time Luffy is Pirate King, he will be known as the strongest. An alliance doesn't take away from that fact.

Does not make him superhuman... he is way more trained and stronger, still has the same body as these people. Again, you just speak but you have no clue. Shanks is normal unless proven otherwise, you think he stands no chance against Zoro?
Shanks is not normal. A person who can deadlift 500 Kg cannot be considered a normal person in real life. Same way A person such as Zoro (or shanks) cannot be considered normal.

Thank you for agreeing that many people can be the strongest, I see you got the point.
Yah, that was my point from the beginning. The pirate king should be undefeatable.

Which chapter was that explicitly mentioned?
Dude, it's obvious. His ability is to create and manipulate strings. How else do you think he manipulates people?

This is non sense, and again Akainu could have ended him first if he really wanted to chapter 568. And again it is your assumption, he just sent him flying away with one punch. And seriously read the manga, you know why he stopped? because at this moment Blackbeard and his crew showed up.
lol, White beard was sick and Akainu still couldn't do shit. He tried to kill white beard but he couldn't. Blackbeard didn't instantly attack whitebeard. SO whitebeard had plenty of time, he could've killed Akainu If he wanted to.

He isn't enjoying his freedom now. 3 yonkos and the marines are after his head and he's constantly running away. That's not freedom. He's brave, he would fight Big Mom if he needs to, but he can't win right now, at least not in a fair battle (maybe if Big Mom is injured). He knows that, that's why he's running. Freedom is, when he can do whatever he pleases without having to run. He'll become the strongest, and then he'll become the pirate king.

Strength doesn't have to be physical strength. Nami and Usopp are strong due to their unique fighting styles.

Those were one time fights. Luffy lost against crocodile twice before finally winning. If he was the pirate king, he would've lost his title after the first fight.

I think you cannot read, clearly, that is your problem. Talking without a clue and making me say what I never said.
So, you definitely have no idea what you're talking about when it was stated that Roger was NEVER defeated. And he was someone who fought with Shiki and Whitebeard all the time, so he clearly defeated them when even they themselves stated that it was Roger who stopped them from becoming Pirate King.
Is your brain the problem? I do not know, seriously. And Shanks defeated Kaidou too? Anyway you talk and talk missing my point. You can reread what I wrote, properly this time maybe.

This makes 0 sense
Who spoke about about fleet etc. if you do not understand what I say, ask rather than making assumptions (Again).... I had in mind something like Luffy beating Doflamingo in a 2 vs 1. And again, not all fights end with the strongest winning. Ah wait, I guess in your mind, if you win, it is because you are stronger.
Then you clearly don't know what you're talking about
Probably more than you do.

If Shanks is in real life, cannot do anything for you. But please give him my greetings next time you see him. If you ignore on purpose the point of my words, no need to answer.

I ask for a reference: "dude it is obvious". Okay, free to have your opinion but do not come to give me it is fact.

I just show you, you interpret... Would have, could have, should have. And if Akainu really wanted to, he would have taken WB head, instead of attacking his chest.

Rude af!
And Shanks defeated Kaidou too?
This example is out of place because Shanks has never been said to be a wall to Kaido. We do not know how Shanks made Kaido retreat but it wasn't by fighting because their whole crew was fine.
Roger was a wall to WB and Shiki. If there is a obstacle stopping you no matter what you do, then the obstacle is clearly stronger. Roger was the strongest. After his death, WB was titled the world's strongest.
If Shanks is in real life
Then he will be our world's first Superman! We will have kids running around with red hair wigs and swords.

You told @Enima to not 'assume' and now you do the same thing?
And if Akainu really wanted to, he would have taken WB head, instead of attacking his chest.
Why did he not? The Akainu we know is someone who is heartless to Pirates and Marines alike. The only exceptions are Aokiji (because of his history) and Jewellery Bonney. So why did he let WB live?

What you had in your mind... was wrong, that's the point.

You can't have 2 Pirate Kings, but one. If you are indeed capable of reading comprehensively, I'm not sure what 2 v 1 has to do with being Pirate King.

Can see Chinjao states only "HE" implying 1 person can become Pirate King and defeat all these other potential Pirate Kings. So, your point is still moot and you clearly don't grasp it at all.

What is so difficult about understanding that Whitebeard only became the strongest after Roger died? It's no different to the 2nd ranked sprinter becoming the fastest sprinter after the #1 ranked sprinter retires or dies. It's not rocket science, it's quite simple.
