I kinda agree with the aesthetics arguments. Are muscle guys really that popular nowadays?
The biggest hits of the decade all have young looking, skinny characters. Even pillars of the 80's and 90's like Toriyama have slowly departed from the overly muscular designs to more simply looking ones. Araki is another example.

In a recent interview the editor said they were afraid before Toriko started precisely because of the old muscular aesthetic. And All Might's design almost changed because of that too.

All Might's design however, absolutely worked because it gets played off for laugh at times. And Horikoshi makes full use of the design as a symbol of All Might's strength. It also helps that his depowered form is something that a lot of people prefer more, actually.

Isn't BNH doing really well in the new timeslot?

BNH anime is great, second season was so good that even gave a second boost to the manga, there's a great director who know a lot of good animators..

i cant say the same about the Toriko anime.

My Hero Academia is the 2nd worst series in that Timeslot, only above that excellent piece called Denpa Kyoshi. Even Time Bokan 2nd Season seems to be in direction to do better than it, just for people not to talk about decrease TV ratings being the cause.
