What pisses me off about Jerza is the fact that Jellal killed friggin Simon right in front of her and Erza doesnt give a shit anymore. Oh, so he loses his memories and its all good? Erza tells Jellal that if he doesnt remember the people he's hurt, she'll stab him through the heart, yet when he admits he doesnt immediately after, she not only doesnt kill the little shit, but tells him not to sacrifice himself and tries to save him? Why? And when Midnight actually calls Jellal out on all the evil things he's done, Erza even has the gall to say that "she still sees the goodness in him", disgusting.

Erza shouldve been what Kagura was, desperate to kill Jellal the moment she saw him. But no, instead she pines for the bastard throughout the whole arc, and when it ends she doesnt want Jellal to pay for his crimes, she wants him to stay with her and be her boyfriend or whatever. Of course team Natsu were trying to get him free as well, so screw those assholes too, but at least Jellal didnt kill any of their friends.
Erza disgraced Simon's memory the moment she didnt let Jellal sacrifice himself, everything after that is just her taking a shit on his grave. Honestly every time i see a shipping moment between these two i start wishing Kagura would show up and butcher both of them.

Jellal who was being possessed by Ultear and not in control of his actions at the time. A normal Jellal would never kill anyone who wasn't his enemy, him not killing the Oracion Seis despite them being out to kill him is a perfect indicator of that.
Simon jumped in the way to take an attack that was aimed at Erza. How is that Jellal killing him willingly? Plus she admitted in the Kagura fight that she's responsible for Simon's death, so that's not something you can solely blame Jellal for:

Can't believe the top 2 is between "Your Dad beat me up, enslaved people, and killed my friend" and "Your Dad beat me up, tortured me, and crucified me in front of everyone".

Like I can see the girls' being fine with being acquaintances or friends at best, but no way (in reality) would they ever date someone who has done that to them. You have to have some serious mental problems to stick with a person who has abused you emotionally and physically to that extent.

These relationships should've never been romanticized.

How is Jellal's actual target being Natsu rather than Simon supposed to paint Jellal in a better light from Erza's perspective? Your acting like this makes things better. If anything it makes things worse, because not only did Jellal kill Erza's dear friend AND LAUGH ABOUT IT AFTERWARDS, but he also killed the guy who saved her life and the life of her beloved Natsu.

Paid in full? What? Seriously? I cant even... Since when is a 7 year stay in prison(probably not even that since Ultear got him out) fair payment for killing a man?
Fair payment is an exchange of equal value, like what Gajeel did. After beating the shit out of a few of members of Fairy Tail, he let them beat the shit out him back, plus Laxus as well for good measure, now thats fair payment.
Fair payment for Jellal IS DEATH, or something equally horrifying. If Jellal sacrificed himself and died saving Erza, then that'd be fair payment and i'd give Jerza my full support.

But slowly as the OS arc went by not only did Erza stop being pissed at Jellal for killing her friend, she starts comforting him like an old friend. By that point, Jellal should no longer have been her friend, and she should have had no qualms letting him die, the fact that she still considers him one is in itself, despicable.

Jellal seems like a pussy who would need Erza to kill spiders/flies for him. He was only on a villain because he wanted to be a big boy who could show to world how badass he was but we all know Ultear was using that to make him think he was in power so she could play the innocent damsel card.

Jerza works because they fit personality wise. Erza acts a little more feminine but she doesn’t act like a doormat. We all know she wears the pants in the relationship and Jellal is her bitch, which he enjoys.

Oh well, who would’ve thought it would come down to this? They once were enemies – not in a rivalry way, but a true brutal way. Gajeel has done some horrendous things to Levy, like attaching her to a tree and stamping the guild logo of Phantom Lotd on her stomach. Oop!

After Gajeel joined Fairy Tail, Levy didn’t feel very good about it, but all this changed after they became partners for the S-Class Trial at Tenrou Island. The Iron Dragon Slayer saved her from Grimoire Heart members, before making a striking remark.

"It is really hard looking for someone so small, so don't leave my side please."

Throughout the years, Levy has shown to care a lot about Redfox – she takes care of him and tries her best to prevent him from doing dumb stuff. On the other side, Gajeel is ready to give up his life (!) for Levy as seen in the final arc.

For now, let’s take a look at the comment section for the second-last time.

Never saw the hype of this relationship tbh. Kind of weird they started getting closer after what he did to her. The fake death only made it worse.

Since Nalu and Jerza are the two most fairy tale like to me,
I am also going to write this post as a story.

Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful Dragon Queen who had a baby....​

But because of circumstances beyond her control, she had to give that daughter up.​

Leaving her soon after birth at a village where the girl grew in happiness until tragedy struck and the village was attacked by zealots of dark cult, which enslaved all the children.

And where the girl saw the dark side of humanity.

But she also saw the light. There she met a boy, kind and gentle Jellal. He decided to give her the surname "Scarlet" after her scarlet hair so they would never forget it. Despite the harsh conditions of her enslavement and labor, Erza became close friends with the other children.​

​

The kids eventually planned to escape. They were unfortunately caught by the guards, who decided to send the escape's mastermind to the tower's disciplinary chamber, while the rest would be deprived of food for three days. Seeing how fearful Shô was, Erza prepared to take the blame herself, but Jellal announced himself as the mastermind instead. However, the guards reasoned that Erza was the one responsible and sent her to the disciplinary chamber, where she was tortured to the brink of death and lost her right eye. Jellal rescued her, but was captured soon after. Finally fed up with their torment, Erza staged a revolt against their captors so they could escape and save Jellal​

​

But the boy she knew and loved could not be saved.
​

​

​

​

Jellal was put under a spell - the kind and compassionate boy she knew him to be was suddenly twisted and violent. He had been possessed by what he claimed to be the spirit of Zeref, and decided that the only way for them to attain true freedom was to complete the Tower of Heaven and revive Zeref. Erza refused to help him, prompting Jellal to cast her out of the tower by herself, only letting her live because she helped take care of all the guards who would have opposed him. Before letting her escape, Jellal told Erza to keep the Tower of Heaven a secret from the government, as well as to never return to the tower, threatening to destroy the tower and kill everyone in it, including their friends, if she disobeyed.

​

He exiled Erza from the island and took control of the construction of the Tower of Heaven in order to resurrect Zeref, and thus create a world of "true freedom". He bombed the ship that was supposed to take the slaves off the island, and told them afterward that it was Erza's doing, as she had gone insane with her newfound Magic Powers. Believing that she had truly escaped on her own and thus betrayed them, the slaves helped him build the tower for the next eight years as a way of showing their gratitude for saving them from certain death.

While growing up, Jellal was taken under the tutelage of the Oración Seis leader Brain, cultivated to be a protegee and eventually creating an illusion that infiltrated the Wizard Council.​

Years later they met again.

As enemies...​

He wanted her to be his sacrificial lamb for his dreams. It has to be her.​

​

Erza wanted to kill him and herself in the process.
​

But it was all according to his plan... He knew what she would do. Jellal was counting on that indomitable spirit, so full of love, to fall right into his trap.​

Everything had been for this moment, to revive Zeref,​

(Even though Zeref was really alive, of course)

And even after Jellal was defeated by Natsu and thought dead, Erza told Lucy that she thought Jellal was the one that saved Erza and Natsu from the tower by infusing with the tower himself.

Then Jellal returned... ​

This is a shonen fairy tale not shojo.....​

He lost his memory but his only memory was her...

They were together again, but everything wanted to tear them apart.

But in the end, they were still separated.

So while Nalu might be the ship that wants to be together forever. Jerza is the ship that always symbolizes longing and that wish to see the other out though they might not see each other, they will always find each other. In Erza vs Azuma when Jellal was tortured in prison, the two shared a mutual vibe. ​

The Grand Magic games had the two reunited again.​

The two reunited to fight along side each other as the main badass couple of fairy tail.​

The two finally had some fun at a water part.​

They almost kissed.... Or did they? This has long been debated by the fandom, but long before Zervis taught us how to kiss could lead to death and pregnancy, Jellal and Erza had their moonlight, shadow kiss. ​

He saved her (And I don't see why this is a bad thing).​

Ooooh, so here's top 3!
First, Alzack and Bisca - totally neutral about them. They are canon of canons, but totally irrelevant to the story. Asuka is cute tho
Now, I don't mind Jerza winning this, I like this ship, becasue except for last scenes with them (you know, in the BP ship) and filler, I don't recall any fanservis scenes between them; there were only subtle signs, that they share feelings for each other, but can't overcome their common harsh past - quite mature for FT standards It would be better, if Mashima let Jellal wear trousers tho.
Personally, Gajevy is higher in my ranking, but it's runner up, so I'm satisfied. It may give vibes of Stockholm syndrome, but I see it more as proof of change, that happened in Gajeel. If Levy forgave him, what he did to her and fell for him, then he can't be such complete jerk. Besides, we girls like bad boys

Before I end this rate officially, I just want to thank everyone who took part in it. It was tamer than all the others so far (Possibly the one with the least number of comments), but it was still interesting to tackle something other than good old power rankings. After all:

This rate was definetely a fail of fails. Most of the top 10 is horrendous.

@BluePegasus and @Crescent_jinxgrace Love the way you guys did your posts. They were very funny (especially @BluePegasus doing a play by play of Quotes), and very engaging reads.

Cant say i didnt expect Jerza to win, but its still pisses me off. Ever since i saw the scene where Jellal gets turned over to the cops in the Orecion Seis arc i've hated Jerza. I mean fair enough on Jura and the rest of them wanting Jellal to have a second chance, he hasnt hurt them and he helped them out. But Erza? Natsu? These two watched an innocent man die at his hands, a friend, and they're acting like this piece of shit deserves to be free? Just thinking about it makes me want to vomit.

I know, and I dont have a problem with sinners going unpunished(not in fiction anyway). I have a problem with people forgiving those sinners, because the only person who has the right to forgive a murderer is the person who got murdered. Friends, extended family, whatever, all have an obligation to their lost loved ones to hate the piece of shit that killed them. They dont necessarily need to seek revenge, but they should at the very least despise the person responsible. They shouldnt be trying to save their bloody lives or friggin comforting them, which is what pisses me off about Jerza. If Jellal was trying to get with Mirajane or whatever i wouldnt give a shit, because Mira has no obligation to hate Jellal, but Erza in this situation, betrayed her friendship to Simon by forgiving Jellal, by treating him as more than sub-human garbage, by telling him he should live instead of sacrificing himself.

Simon loved Erza, and he gave up his life to protect her. But right now Erza is pretty much saying "Hahaha, you thought you had a chance with me you dumb fuck? I care so little about you and our friendship that im actually gonna make the guy who killed you my man, suck on that retard".

Vegeta i dont give a shit about anymore because Yamcha and Tien dont give a shit about being killed by his lackey anymore(plus they're alive). The Z warriors dont know any of the other people Vegeta has killed, so they dont need to be pissed about it..
