Natsu is not at all asexual, he clearly shows interest in the opposite sex and knows the beauty of it, as well as what intimate aspects of couples are.

What happens is that mentally is like a child who is still learning, he is more of the type "I bother you to see me because I like you but I will not tell you" as children do to girls they like.

The problem with it is that it really takes time to grasp what it does and get carried away.

Je, I would like to see Mashima put Natsu's real awakening to adulthood, it would be something really interesting since it would bring out everything that is saved by his infantilism.

there are scenes of the anime that he is blushing that are also in the manga, I read the manga I know that he blushes and shows interest in manga too, I'm on my cell phone, and doing other things (not even home) I will not be looking for

Before Daimatou Enbu, Natsu try to spy the Girls in the Onsen and is in manga scene.

From what I remember the fan translation first said sacred rod then sausage so I think whichever Fairy Tail S volume the Stone Age omake is in will have the right translation.

A demisexual is a person who does not experience sexual attraction unless they form a strong emotional connection with someone. It's more commonly seen in but by no means confined to romantic relationships. The term demisexualcomes from the orientation being "halfway between" sexual and asexual.

I have always been a promoter of Natsu and Lucy both being demisexual. With Lucy leaning more towards the romantic and sexual side while Natsu leans toward the asexual way. The thing about Demi-sexuals is friendship is really important and you cannot feel a strong sexual attraction without it (you might passingly see something/be aware of something as rousing but pass it by because you aren’t interested). These are extreme high maintenance types XD.

Compared to a stone age and for the manga, the question would be that natsu had an erection every time he saw lucy naked or touched her XD tits.

I think Natsu is less silly than luffy.

He has some notion about women and everything but nothing more.

Natsu would be a little asexual not that he does not like women but does not have too much sexual attraction to her.

The notion "" couple "" must be quite vague for him.

No doubt for him, in his definition of "" couple "", he is in a relationship with lucy.

Except as such, natsu will not kiss lucy, will not hold the hand of lucy for walking in the street, will not say words of love.

This would be how the nalu couple will be at the end of the manga.

And it's lucy who will teach him, even if I see natsu him out a "too complicated" XD.

It will be funny when it will be explained to him how to make children XD.

Because I do not think that natsu knows rehearsally, or at least he knows that children are not born in cabbage or flowers XD.

I’m pretty sure the whole ‘sexually naïve’ thing that many shonen protagonists are written as having stems from the misinterpretation (or deliberate exaggeration) of Goku’s early characterisation in Dragonball. Goku grew up (until age 12) literally not having seen another human except his adoptive grandpa Gohan... this left him exceptionally naïve about a lot, including even what a girl looked like - let alone any sexual things. It’s not that he was especially dense or absent, he literally just had little/ no experience with other people to begin with. Other mangaka seem to have taken this trait and run with it (indeed pushed it to an even further extreme) in successive characters including Naruto, Luffy and Natsu. The problem is unlike Goku these characters in general really have no reason to be! In Natsu’s case he grew up in the guild surrounded by others of around his age, male and female. He would realistically have had plenty of opportunity to learn about the birds and the bees from someone or even just found out for himself. The romance/ shipping aspect of the series doesn’t especially interest me, but if it had been done in a subtle non intrusive way I think it would have been better than taking the easy (now cliche) way out and just made his naïveté into a running gag... my 2p on the issue anyway

I agree with everything, Whether Goku saw a female or not, It won't cancel the fact that he got married and experienced adult love and got a son too, What he went through didn't change his human part towards the opposite sex.

Naruto loved sakura at the begining so he experienced love.

Luffy is constantly asexual.

Aside from the nakama stuff that every MC have, I think that Mashima forgot the way to write Natsu and always contradicting himself, Mashima also said he don't know what Natsu would do or think in many situations, Almost everything about him is ambiguous and debatable. Let's take for example Galuna and TOH arcs where he blamed Erza and Gray for sacrificing themselves but he himself wanted to do the same thing against Zeref at their first confrontation. He blamed Gray for leaving Juvia 6 months which means he knows what love is, Lucy was disappointed because he did the same thing with her. Again Mashima saying Natsu ain't fighting for anyone one but his guild which is funny because he did fought for Yukino when she got trashed by her guild. It's clearly says that Mashima forget many things about Natsu which impacted the readers views about his feelings.

At the same time it is not very good "" normal "", that a child of 12 years is interested in the sex and the sexual relation.

Or even talk about sex with a child of 10-12 years, he knows the difference between a man or a woman yes but that's it.
