I want to be like Heiji when I grow up. XD
I will take note about 折り返し地点 . :nerd

Do you guys still talk about Bleach? Don't you have anything better to do? XD
Do you guys think that Bozebeats or Act-Age have any chance to be picked up by VIZ? I'm really rooting for Act-Age because I think the concept is interesting, it reminds me of a psychology webtoon I read where there was a case where the actors really surpassed the limit between fantasy and reality and really did some crazy things like trying to kill themselves, so... I bet Shueisha will not let that happen in a shounen magazine, but maybe if...

Heiji is pretty cool lol and I think they do. I know it doesn't say much but it does say more when Viz puts them up to read free (first 3 chapters) where they didn't even do that for Lycopene, Fulldrive, and Golem Hearts. I've only read one chapter of Bozebeats and the 2 chapters of Act-Age but I believe they definitely will be picked up. I'm really liking Act-Age too.

Looking at the most recent chapters, it looks like Spring Weapon will definitely end soon.

That's interesting because I believe Viz adds most of their Jump Starts to the free section, and there's no particular pattern between what gets added and what's in the magazine. Those are the only 3 that haven't been added since Neverland's serial round in mid 2016. Probably licensing issues?

Also that'll be interesting if SW is approaching its end, because HxH will probably be gone sometime in April too if Togashi sticks with his 1 volume at a time serialization (which I think is highly likely).

But we don't even know if Kishi's new manga is action oriented or if it'll even be in WSJ. Maybe we'll have a successful battle manga this year, I don't know if it will be Bozebeats.
>samurais everywhere in the namu
>not action

for what purpose?

I truly do think if Shibata or Moue got another chance they'd succeed. I think with their miniseries (Sahara the flower samurai and K.K in the city of fog) that they can tell good stories with interesting world's and characters.
neither KK nor Sahara were published in WSJ, so they were able to get away with things they normally wouldn't
like I can't imagine that prostitute beating scene from KK happening in WSJ

For anyone that has read Shibata´s robot one-shot, how was it? Would it be needed to change some stuff for it to get serialized or not? Also, is there a link for the raws? Have been interested in checking it out for while now
it's typical Jump stuff
Zippo takes place in a utopian future where the police uses robots to defend the population, the protagonist dreams of being one of these cops because a cop saved him when he was little
when he joins the force people think he's a weak nerd but he surprises everyone when he takes out the bad guys

So was the Neverland being 50% done thing a mistranslation or not? Don’t know what to believe

Huh... so a watered down version of Gundam by the looks of it. It doesn't look terrible but it comes across as being more suited for a monthly release schedule rather than a weekly one in my opinion.

Looks like Japanese Rock'em Sock'em Robots. I'm game. Looks fun. Love Shibata's artstyle. Is it translated anywhere?

^Golem Hearts oneshot was never that good to begin with

people just get over excited over any oneshot that got translated getting a series because that's the one they're most familiar with

So was the Neverland being 50% done thing a mistranslation?
no

From when is that oneshot? It looks like the first chapter of Boku no Hero Academia.

Do note that Neverland being 50% done would still give the manga 18 volumes. I think it will end up lasting more, though. The editor merely made an approximation.

Boozbeats' heroine looks like she was meant to appear in Food Wars battling against Erina for Soma's heart but took a detour and got lost in a world of exorcism.

It'll be a samurai comedy without any action, so Gintama without the action. xD We still don't know if it will be a thing in WSJ though, or do we.

Looking at the most recent chapters, it looks like Spring Weapon will definitely end soon.
The day has come.
