You know toc positions don't matter before week 8 right? Jujutsu's first placement is next week.
I think Jujutsu being high up means the exact opposite of what you're thinking. It's probably more like they're trying to push it one last time.
I mean Jujutsu was the least well received out of the three new series and Noah's Notes by far the best received. I honestly doubt japanese readers think much different.
They already have the results and know if Jujutsu is doing okay or not. If it's doing terrible, "boost" for 1 week won't change anything. And if the others are doing better, it's more likely they will "boost" them, instead of Jujutsu. I haven't really paid that much attention, but I have not noticed that to be a tendency, so it's more like you are trying to grab for a straw.
"least well received"? According to who? For me it's: Jujutsu > Ziga > Noah. But usually the manga I end up liking, gets cancelled quickly, soo... who knows.

There is a bit too much hype for Build King, hopefully when it comes out people won't be disappointed because they got their expectations too high and the manga didn't turn out to be what they wanted to be.

If we only get two new series, they will replace Bozebeats and HxH which went on hiatus again, which would probably mean Act-Age surviving another round. Unless they decide to have an open slot until the next round which they already did in the past. If we get three or more new series, Act-Age gets cancelled alongside Boze.

Because he's new and for some odd reasons thinks Ziga would get cancelled after 10 chapters even though Yoko is writing it.

You know toc rankings are created at least three weeks in advance? They probably only had poll results up to ch. 2-3 at that time and decided to maybe give it one last push.

As for Jujutsu being the least well received, it's the new manga that is the least talked about. Apart from Sharkbait, noone usually mentions it here in this thread at all.

Noah's Notes got a Edited Manga and people regularly talk about it. Ziga gets mentioned here and there as well.

Plus, Jujutsu Kaisen has so many writing flaws, I could write you a whole analyzation of chapter 1 pointing out all flaws I can find. I'll probably find more than I did in the first chapter of Bozebeats. It doesn't matter where readers come from, most readers will subconciously notice these flaws, not enjoy the manga and drop it in the end.

We really only truly know it’s reception here. In Japan they could be blown away by it for all we know. And Noah’s Notes, the one everyone loves could be placed at the tail end of the magazine in a couple of weeks for all we know

Bakuman is not a documentary.

Bozebeats is dead, nothing new. Act-age is also dead, unless we only have two new manga for the next round, as other people have said already. Things are becoming stale, we need something new to stick around, it's been over a year after all... Some anime announcements would certainly make things more exciting.

Good stable sales for Kimetsu no Yaiba and The Promised Neverland continues to do very well. We should really get some anime announcements for these already, at least in my opinion.

Boku no Hero Academia is also doing really well, let's see how much impact season 3 and the movie will have. Jigokuraku actually managed to reach 10k sales for the first volume, which means it at least should be safe for a while, but the series has failed to keep me interested.

Jujutsu Kaisen has many serious writing flaws. Ziga has a good premise, but bad execution. Might've been a little early for me to say that it'll get axed since I've only read up until chapter 3. Manga with similar problems usually got cancelled though.
Another negative point is the character design of the main character. Most main characters in shounen usually have something distinctive about them, but that's completely missing from Ziga. The only good thing about is so far is how dark it is, but darkness by itself doesn't make a manga good.

Series tend to go off the rails once they've been axed.

Please do. I'm sure you'll have something fun to read.
Will probably take a few hours though.

Because he's new and for some odd reasons thinks Ziga would get cancelled after 10 chapters even though Yoko is writing it.
I wasn't talking about the next cancellation round, but the one after that.

Yoko's involvement (even under a pseudonym) should at least guarantee it half a year.

Is it even confirmed to be Yoko? If not, try not to talk out of your ass and spread misinformation.

It's based off a one-shot he created.
The artist is his former assistant.
He's currently doing a series for Kodansha in Young Magazine so probably can't technically work for both companies at the same time hence the pen name.
Not that hard to put the pieces together,

Yoko's involvement (even under a pseudonym) should at least guarantee it half a year unless it's a turbo failure like Gakyuu Houtei.
Gakyuu Houtei ran for about half a year though. Plus Ziga is guaranteed to survive the next cancellation round either way, so it's already guaranteed to run at least around half a year. The last manga that didn't run for at least around half a year was Demon's Plan, I think.
