We are talking about a commercial Battle Shonen. Do not focus on quality, but on popularity.
Fist of the north star end with 27 volumes.
YYH end with 19 volumes
Kenshin end with 28 volumes
Shaman King end with 32 volume (well that was axed)

And things like black cat/City hunter doesn't have 40 volumes but I don't know if it count or not to you.
Usually we can see a relation with the genre and the number of volumes it will have (I doubt the actual romcom/echii that is running right now in Jump will have more than 24 volumes), but if the author/editor feel than they can't drag much more the story , they will end it.

Other times, the rules of the market were different.

How does this, however, contradict my statement?

Even considering that for the most part it is a series that has been going on for more than five years
And things like black cat/City hunter doesn't have 40 volumes but I don't know if it count or not to you.
And mediocre manga like Reborn or who have never particularly broken through like Toriko went on for 8 years .....

Usually the successful manga last from 3 to 5 years, maximum 6-7. Some particularly successful can reach 8-9 years, while some of great success exceed ten. Sometimes even abundantly.

Not every successful manga has to be dragged out past it's natural length a la Dragon Ball.

I think we all have to remember that Naruto, Bleach, Gintama, One Piece and Kochikame were all exceptions to the rule. They lasted as long as they did due to the mangaka not necessarily due to demand (though that might also be an exception for One Piece). I don't think any saw that Gintama going on for 70+ volumes when it first came out given how episodic it is.

We are giving you examples that it can end before 42 volumes, but you're denying it because ... I don't know why.

Even considering that for the most part it is a series that has been going on for more than five years
And can end tomorrow if he want.
We are telling you that MHA can end with 30 volume and telling you examples that past series who did, but you only want a example of a contemporaneous battle shonen who end with 30 volumes because reason.

And mediocre manga like Reborn or who have never particularly broken through like Toriko went on for 8 years .....
Quality =/= Sales. And I was talking about I didn't know if you would count those manga as a battle shonen but I post it because they ending before 40 volume.
Also, wasn't you the user who became salty every time BC is talked here in a bad way?Respect go to both ways.

Usually the successful manga last from 3 to 5 years, maximum 6-7. Some particularly successful can reach 8-9 years, while some of great success exceed ten. Sometimes even abundantly.
No, it always depend the series, you can see Death note or Comando who last 2 years and Neuro 4 years.

Who's denying ?

This is the word, "past".

If today a manga like Reborn can last 8 years do you want me not to do it My Hero?

Quality =/= Sales.
So there is no reason to finish a manga like My Hero acclaimed by everyone before the 200 chapters?

Also, wasn't you the user who became salty every time BC is talked here in a bad way?
But........
What the hell has to do with it?

And above all, what the hell does this mean in this context?

No, it always depend the series, you can see Death note or Comando who last 2 years
Death Note is lasted 3 years.

In theory.

But in practice ....

Dude stop. A mangaka can literally end his series whenever he wants, he's not gonna be forced to continue his manga due to popularity. If that was the case AssClass would still be continuing as of now.

No, but not even for a dream.

Continue until the magazine deems it appropriate

Assassination Classroom is the classic "comet" masterpiece, that kind of manga that is very successful, but has a "short" life, a bit like Promised Nevelrand.

What then, as I wrote:

Usually the successful manga last from 3 to 5 years, maximum 6-7. Some particularly successful can reach 8-9 years, while some of great success exceed ten. Sometimes even abundantly.
So, where would the contradiction be?

Dragging out the story because its successful is probably the worst thing that can be done to a series, especially if it has already finished up its story. Sure it can go to 42-45, but I see no need given how the length of the arcs in the story. Matsui ended his story when he needed to and AssClass is/was a bigger hit than Heroaca. Horikoshi should also end it once he's done the main story.
Considering the past of the magazine, I understand the 'fear' of having a large number of volumes. I also agree that dragging a story is a bad choice, but we have to be careful to not create the idea that "30 volumes or more is always bad / 20 volumes or less is always good". And AssClass is, to me, an example of that. Several characters and events ended up superficial because the author didn't give the appropriate time to develop them (= more volumes). As a result we have the biggest sales phenomenon of Jump since, I don't know, Death Note?, but that most people seem to remember only when the subject is, well, sales.

More volumes wouldn't change anything with AssClass. It would be just more Nagisa and Karma wanking.

I'm working with the assumption that "what if Matsui was a good author". I mean, I love the guy's ideas, but AssClass lacks conflict. In almost all the arcs, when a character revealed a personal drama, this was easily and completely solved one or two chapters later.
The rivalry between Nagisa and Karma is an example, I didn't buy at all that shit.

I'd be okay with that honestly.

Newbies review part 2

Ziga 9
Kaiju battle, and Ziga now transforms its arm into a sword a la Edward Elric

Jujutsu Kaisen 11
Battle between MC and his inner hollow in Zangetsu dimension, he wakes up, and looks some new villains at the end

Also, THESE Hinomaru chapters are finally being scanlated.

Which two do you think are the most likely to be eliminated?

Jump weekly sprouts revision (Viz edition)

Cute manga is cute. Cute humor is cute. Cute and silly girl is cute. The teacher (reminds me a lot to Aizawa) is also pretty funny.

Momiji no Kisetsu 2
MC girl is fun and awesome. MC does the entrance exam for the shogi institution ''institute''. Guy who lost in chapter 1 is also making the exam and has gotten a fierce rivalry with MC. Another guy (with Ichimaru Gin face) is presented and also badmouths MC. He and ''Ichimaru Gin'' are paired to play in the exam. MC wins using his new defensive style.

Which two do you think are the most likely to be eliminated?
Ziga clearly.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, if Shokugeki really ends in next weeks, there will be one open slot for Viz roster.

If a slot does open up for the Viz roster, I hope they add Haikyuu to their list.

It would double the sales if this happens.

I like both of the new Jump Star, voted for them. Don't know about quality just yet
