Yes, those’re the highest numbers that have ever shown up on Shoseki. The previous peak:
*19437 (3)│*35712│------│------│------┃*,*35,712 (*10)┃2016/09|火ノ丸相撲 11

I've put Black Clover anime on hold indefinitely but the OPs are quite good actually
Me too bro, me too. Watched 23 episodes so can't say I didn't give it a shot. Love the openings, could make a case that some are better than MHA's openings. The animation was good for a long runner while the art made the manga art better. But there's no charm, no hype, no enjoyment. The main cast is one of the worst I've ever seen in all my years watching anime.

I'm a huge battle shonen fan, it's the highest selling genre for a reason so I consider it the best, and I'm tolerant on alot. The story is fine and imo I don't even mind the quick quick quick blitz blitz blitz type of clip it runs at. But the content isn't strong enough to overcome its flaws. I won't go Koi Kage and cry weekly about it, I'll just keep it moving.

Onestly BC i'm really enjoying the anime. Every week I wait patiently for the episodes.
I love Asta and all characters, and In my opinion there is much hype at the end of episodes.
Openings and music are wonderful, too

The animation is terrible, even by long runner standards. The first arc was barely acceptable, and now were at the point where there’s barely any at all. Not the mention the art is an insult to the manga. I can’t really pinpoint much its done well. Voices are hit and miss, music doesn’t fit all that well imo, fights are unengaging due to the poor animation and music, filler content isnt placed very smartly, ect. I still watch it and enjoy it though lol, but thats Black Clover to a T.

On the subject of OPs, theyre certainly on the better side. This latest MHA one though... Didnt like it at first, but god its grown on me. Probs my favourite of the series so far.

The more I read of this current saga in Hinomaru Sumou the more I wish Kawada had transfered the series to Young Jump after Part 1. Its a compelling story but the structure just seems like something that the target audience of Shonen Jump will not fully appreciate. There's a reason a lot of Shonen Sports manga don't do the sport at the professional level, unless the structure of competition lends itself well for the hype and hot-blooded action we want. The type of thinking at that level is inherently different from school sports. In school sports, tournaments rarely happen over more than 2-3 days. Here in Sumou for example, the tournament is scheduled to take place over 15 days. Onimaru is going all out from his first match. There's also a lot of psychological elements going on now regarding Onimaru's drive for Sumou. A character even remarks that he doesn't say "I'm going to become the Yokozuna!" like he did back during the school sports saga. Its "non-Shounen-like" in a different vein from HxH, which can pass but sports series will have difficulty.

Horikoshi is going to be at Comic Con this year. I guess that is pretty big, exciting news. Viz delivered for once

I dont know why you had to put this, considering its not like this is the first time theyre having a author from jpn at a con here, let us not forget they had Kishimoto, Obata, Kubo and etc before.

Most the time when they say they have a "Big Announcement" it feels like it's always something like "we have new merch in the store", or something underwhelming.
I love Viz as a company. Just saying the "Big Announcement" actually was something big, and not something underwhelming
