So there seriously is a thread about asuna, some little girl whose only attribute is being the only barely passable character in an otherwise rather lackluster anime against 2b, a badass android and machine slayer with a genuine character arc who suffered every tragedy nier could throw at her? And anyone that has played nier knows nier level tragedy makes anything that can happen in SAO look like a pleasant trip to the park to play catch with a golden retriever.

Asuna's entire character arc can be summed up like this: Kirito-kun. That's literally all you can ever need to know about her. Other than that she is just a gamer girl that never leaves her house. She vegetates all day....

ohhh...I had this salty post all prepped up, so when I said "cursed robot" I was ready to back it up. Only problem is my waifu doesn't seem to have much going for her.
And yeah, I realized the fandom aren't keen on her. I mean I see people voting just cos it's her . On one hand, I'm curious to see what happens to make her this despised. This is almost Rachael level treatment

Well tbh I don't hate Asuna, I'm just indifferent lol. SAO as a whole can kind of be divided between people who love it and people who hate it with passion I'm actually somewhere in the middle but yeah, sadly I would agree that Asuna's character gets worse and worse with time. Well, there's one arc where she finally shines again, but even that sadly doesn't make up for a lot of other things. Still, you should definitely finish the anime

And no, Asuna definitely isn't anywhere as bad as Rachel XD
