Apart from how cute Roji is, I dont really see what was so hype or exciting about Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation. Hakyuu Hoshin Engi had a far more exciting ep1 for the olden days of jump given new adaptations for my generation of anime viewers.

Also Muhyo's laugh never fails to make me think of Yeager (YGO ARCV/5Ds), though other times Ayumu Murase does sound like Hinata Shoyo, so maybe Ill keep watching for both him and Roji.

I'm guessing it's because it was an old early 2000s manga that got an anime practically out of nowhere.

I also dont think it was very popular. Muhyo's biggest claim to fame was getting into Jump Ultimate Stars. This feels like promotion for the sequel since I doubt there's people who are passionate about Muhyo to make an anime out it.

All of these look pretty nice. I'm still a bit surprised by how much they seem to utilize the author of Love Rush and E-Robot since both of those tanked so hard (even though I thought they were alright lol). Maybe it has something to do with him having a series going on in Jump+ right now

What kind of rankings did Muhyo & Roji get anyway?

It's interesting to think Neuro was also around for most of its run, I guess people really wanted their supernatural detectives in the latter half of the 00s.

First day MHA ( Box Office estimates ) :

Impressive that its made half of BLeach in one day, though i guess the true test is how long HeroAca will remain selling tickets.

It begun in the last issue of 2004, so the rankings started in 2005.
In 2005, it was between 4-7 having 3 CP, 3 LCP and 1 Cover. Average: 6.02
In 2006, it was performing in the same spot until the second half of the year were it begun performing in the bottom 5. It got 5 CP, 2 LCP and 3 Covers. Average: 8.4
In 2007, it stayed almost entirely in the bottom 5 all year. It got 5 CP, 1 LCP and 1 Cover. Average: 11.9
In 2008, stayed in the bottom 5 until the series ended. No CP, LCP and Cover this year. Average: 14.9

Or just how over the general public is of anything Bleach related thats just my thoughts on it or could also be because alot of people don't much care for live action anime movies. Not discounting MHA movie sells but you'd figure that one of the previous best selling WSJ title would've gotten more people to want to go and watch the live action movie.

He says this when the live action Gintama movie was the top grossing live action movie in Japan last year...

Meanwhile Mr. Fullswing achieves the status of most forgotten long-running 2000s Jump manga.

I'm nervous about the anime after Houshin Engi bombed so hard but I'm just glad that Jump's still investing in Yoshiyuki after all this time.

yeah wonder why, the series isn't completed in English, and it isn't available IN english.
If you compare it to Muhyo & Roji, that series has an english release.

Also if you speak content of the series, it isn't even funny. I check out 3 chapters out of curiosity and it's pretty bad. For a 2000s series humor it isn't funny at all.

No english release, untranslated chapters, MC isn't good, series itself is average, it doesn't even in the top 100 jump sales (meaning also irrelevant in Japan) and you're questioning why it is the most forgotten jump series???

Here you are partialy commenting according to your opinion. Muhyo isn't also in top 100 jump sales for example, and doesn't mean anything. BTW if Mr.Fullswing wasn't an important title, it wouldn't be in Jump Exhibition 3 for example.

I read some Mr.Fullswing chapters and I liked them. Gives good early 2000 vibes and I like the humor.

At least Muhyo seems to be a decent adaptation. Had zero expectations going into it, expecting it to be like Hoshin Engi, and was actually pretty impressed.

I wonder how long it'll be until we get an episode count for Zumou.
