Hi, i've been a silent reader of this page for like seven years. There is question on which i am not finding any results on and thought that maybe somebody here knows this. Was Jump the first magazine that had a postcard ranking system? Thanks anyway

Also, on the subject of Zombie manga, Yuji Kimura (U19) did a one shot zombie manga called “Garden”, which is translated on mangadex.
I just read this One-Shot and it's awesome, although I feel like it would not work like a serialized manga, I did like the combination of zombies and shonen elements together.

I do want to see U19 guy come back, I can see his style working really well with the right setting (a heavily policital series that took 4 chapters to get through the intro definitely wasn't the right setting).

As long as sock puppets are involved and it's a comedy then I'm down.
how about: organizing socks with.....wait for it....SUPERPOWERS

Why are you pretending that wouldn't be the next big thing?
of course it is the next big thing, just imagine the tournament arc

"he's organizing them based on color not length!!"
"it thought those were made from silk but they were cotton this whole time!!?"
"is he going to store them horizontally or vertically?"

oh, the suspense...

You are spot on how horrible the EiC has been. Shueisha needs to move his office to the basement he has brought tremendous shame to Jump.

We need sports and we need battle manga. Not castoffs from Giga. We need mangaka that can keep up with the page count.
doesn't matter what genre we get tbh
imo we need a better "quality filter" where mediocrity get punished not celebrated

we don't need Jump Push, Jump Raising, Jump Awakening, Jump Please-read-this-campaign-of-the-month, or whatever
you don't need to promote the manga with least interest from the people if you had filters that increased the chances of producing something interesting from the start

Momiji making it to the magazine even after failing as a mini series proves their current quality filter which I assume was put together by the current eic isn't working

I think the last good manga Jump have put out was Shoodan and before that TPN and this was 2 years ago

I know this sound snobbish af so don't bother pointing this out

"hack". Ridiculous. lol
I have a nickname for him, Nak the hack

I think what Sharbait is trying to say is that Act-Age needs more cute boys, so then it can become a million seller just like Black Clover
But last arc already introduced one cute boy and Akira is having a more active role :c

I doubt Jump is the first one. It is younger than Shonen Mag and Sunday and i won't be surprised if these two already have similar system in place.

Act-age and Jujutsu's way remember me of Kimetsu/World Trigger , tho.
I think it's the only thing that Nak learned from his predecessor, and that's why they're the only ones who are still standing. The problem is when he had Isobee, Saiki and Spring Weapon as gag manga serializated in Heishi's EiC era, but the first serialization round he ends Isobee and begin Lycopene. Only to end next year both Lycopene and Saiki/Spring Weapon.
That's says a lot about how bad Nak's work as EiC is, when he can manage the gag manga in the magazine...

Not sure if anyone else mentioned it, but on the topic of Kinnikuman, Kawada’s comment this week mentioned that he spoke with a Shimada sensei that he respected, who I can only assume is the writer of Kinnikuman? Interesting if that’s the case. Nice to see the mutual respect these two have for each other.

Yeah, nah. Calling someone a hack is stupid as always. And Nakano is fine anyway.

Before another anime adaptation of Slam Dunk or Yu Yu Hakusho, please, first give Rokudenashi Blues an anime series :(

Regarding Slam Dunk they should adapt the final part of the manga.
I never understood why they never did it.
For YuYu I believe that the first anime goes well as it is.

Speaking about readaptations, it would be nice a Kinnikuman readaptation to new times.

Yet again, priority regarding pre 00s Jump should be that Rokudenashi Blues anime. Or an Otoko Ippiki anime readaptation with all 20 manga volumes animated.

Come on, it only has two movies. Give it an anime series, Shueisha.
