How come the goddess seem to have nothing on the demons except the 4 AA? Really berlion like defeats a swarm of lance corporals and he's just on par with a commandment.

Honestly given this chapter and furthe rimplication due to Mael flashbacks. It seems as though the battlefield was the heavens and the goddess were on the defensive and not offensive. How was there a balance?

One man. Not side. We know very little of either clan especially the gc. It is very early for you to use ludos and maels here so far unshown memories as any conclusive evidence. Gowther and mela were able to infiltrate and stand before the gc realms gate. Gowther even hijacked it. Entering is one thing. But would either side be willing to do it en masse? It is the residence of their monarchs. That is a sort of balance in of it self.

The escanor thing is very interesting. It would explain his poster as well. If he had planned the graces even that far back it would meant he intended to have the power of the sunshine split between two people. Or perhaps the grace split one person into two....

The freezing thing is a tad weird considering goddess powers have not been linked to ice. I guess goddesses have developed substantially differently from what he envisioned that early. It would also have made the goddesses even more opposite to demons considering demons have purgatory flame.

Oh, nice. It is surprising that meliodas at that point could apparently enter his more advanced demon transformation. I guess he could manage that due to his sheer anger. I still kinda get the impression merlin overreacted though. There is no way meliodas was going to cause destruction with elizabeth in his arms. I guess it should still be a worrysome situation considering that it seems likely that it is sheer anger that allows meliodas to enter that transformation and power.

He really should've portrayed Mel as he was during those Danafor flashbacks when it was clear he was losing control of the PoD within him or made it look like he was about to enter Assault Mode. Here it just looks like regular angry Mel and it looks like Merlin jumped the gun on knocking him out.
