It's in a world full of many characters of different races: demons, goddess, fairies, giants, humans, vampires. All of the main characters belong to different races too.
The characters are all complex with differents (tragic)
backstories and the story of how they overcome their "sins".
Romance here is actually important for the plot. The author knows what is doing with the couples and doesn't play with what the fandom wants.
Full of interracial relationships (friendships, romances, familiars, etc).
Foreshadows and plot twists everywhere.
No fillers. The story has a straight line where to go and has the necessary chapters to tell the story.
The main character is quite new. He doesn't have the typical dreams and motivations as other MC of shonens.
Plot is about a war between races and how the main characters of different species deal and participate in it.
Damn dude, give me a chance to at least enjoy some time outside before I devote time to this, lol. It should be up later tonight.

As some of you may know, it's rare for me to actually gush about something with an excessive amount of positivity. Hell, I'd go as far to say it's difficult. But for Kimetsu no Yaiba, my favorite running shounen currently, I'll make an exception. By the end of this tournament; nay, this post, I want all of you who have slept on this series to be ashamed of yourselves for not reading this series. In this post, I'll do a general overview of the series, and should it happen to win, I'll go further in detail about certain aspects in my next posts. Those post may be a bit spoiler heavy, but this one will be spoiler free.
Meliodas is a terrible, terrible person. He molest a girl who barely knows him at their first meeting and keeps doing it. It's treated as a joke, but it honestly wears out it's welcome quickly and her submissive attitude towards it is annoying. There has yet to be a reason for his treatment of her in this way. He lies to his friends during moments where it would be beneficial to everyone to have the truth, or, at the very least, some information of the current situation. He's a hypocrite of the highest order, criticizing people for certain things and telling them what they can or can't do, when he's done the exact same thing. Finally, the series bends over backward to prove him correct, even going as far as to portray certain perspectives as wrong, when they are actually right, just because some characters had the audacity to question the mighty Mel.
He doesn't have a harem, but he has a ton of girls who want to drop their panties for him, including both female characters of the Sins at one point or another.
Fights can be good, but are majorly one sided a vast majority of the time. There is nothing wrong with that per se, but it creates a major problem after a certain point in the series. Those who've read it should know what I'm talking about.
"Cool". The majority of the female characters are defined by the romances they are in. Elizabeth is the only one with real character development. Diane hasn't had a decent fight in centuries and hasn't had any character arc. Merlin is still undercooked. Elaine flaws aren't supposed to be a major character trait, she's just poorly written.
I'll give the series this, characters are complex in one form or another. It's one of the reasons I wish certain things were handled with more finesse, because there are really good motivations for a lot of the characters, but it doesn't treat them with the same respect. Some characters are punished for certain things, while others are rewarded and praised for it.

Now onto the decimation. Nothing personal Juvii.

I will step in and say that you should definitely give Kimetsu a try, no matter what you think of Nanatsu. Be prepared for a really slow start, the series needs some time to get going, but after a certain point the series rolls along very nicely. Also Tanjirou is prolly the most likeable shounen protagonist in god knows when, you can't help but cheer for that little guy.
I don't have the same issues as some members about NNT but Kimetsu is the most underrated battle shonen in WSJ right now. It's so good... Why is it overshadowed by BNHA and BC that much? It had a slow start and the art might not appeal to most, but it starts getting really good at the fourth volume. The manga has been great ever since. Epic fights, great cast and cool/weird abilities, comedy, the plot is not too simple or too complex.
And Tanjirou, the MC is so lovable .He truly has the charm of a magnetic hero, his determination, relationship with his sister, the others etc. He is not like these bland and ineffective MCs people try to write as charismatic in the story but who don't impress the readers. It gets more noticeable as the story goes on. Even when the cast is good, it's sometimes hard to not be annoyed by a series when you don't like the MC(Look at eefrit who hates Mel ), but it's not the case with this.
It deserves more recognition. Even if it was against HxH(my favorite manga ever), I would have voted for it. HxH fans and Fate fans should know that Togashi and Nasu recommended it by the way. Vote for it .
Both campaigns are great but I think i'll go with Kimetsu no Yaiba. I haven't read it as yet but I do read NNT and will admit I don't like the direction it's taken recently, so that factors in here as well.
KnY is something I've heard about a lot, yet never gotten around to reading. That's changing after today. That campaign was really heartfelt and in events such as this I value the campaign over the series itself even.
