BLack Clover is vastly underrated, so its no surprise that its readers are dispelling the fiction that it is somehow lesser than that of its contemporaries. The same is true of Honomaru Zumou and Hunter x Hunter.

whistle,

Harenchi Gakuen went to a few publishers before
It should be noted that the case with Shaman King is that all assets of the franchise got transferred to Kodansha so Jump can't even use the series in association with the magazine anymore, Seiya and Hokuto no Ken are still under Shuiesha and they even publish the spin-offs but the original series for both respective titles are under different distribution labels its why Seiya and Kenshiro were featured in the 50th anniversary splash but Yoh wasn't.
So, we know why it was different for Shaman King but not to Saint Seiya and others? I always knew about Saint Seiya, Hokuto no Ken and other series still appearing on the magazine, promotions and older manga but the new ones are on other pubs

Mazinger Z, too, to the point that for a while there was no complete collection between shueisha and... kodansha, I think?
A lot of Jump stuff that ended is only available through other publishers too. Pajama na Kanojo, Chichi no Tamashii, even Otoko Ippiki Gaki Daisho. But that’s not quite the same, as they haven’t continued elsewhere, just been rereleased.
In 2000 former editor-in-chief Nobuhiko Horie and Tetsuo Hara (Hokuto no Ken), Tusukasa Hojo (Cat's Eye/City Hunter) founded the manga editing company Coamix. Every series those two published moved to this company even canceled short series, all of them were re-printed under Coamix.
Saint Seiya is still printed under Shueisha but the sequels rights are handled by the original creator. A lot of old popular Jump series are under different publishers but Shuiesha can still use them for their video games for example.

The Shaman King and Pajama na Kanjo are special cases which I believe Shuisha lost every right to do anything.
Thanks for the examples guys.

It does scream butthurt when you considered he ended every ongoing series he had in other magazines under Shuiesha in the same year after Flowers got canned. If Tsukasa Hojo can contribute to the 50th anniversary splash I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't unless they had bad beef with the company as a whole.

Honestly, I'd say that goes to Horikoshi what with his numerous Oumazoo cameos/transplants scattered throughout his series.

Do we know the CPs for next week’s Jump yet? Or did I just miss them? Would appreciate anyone who’s able to point me in the right direction!

Maybe he gave up on it because the sales weren't good enough?

Just read the posts about titles going to other editorials.

Still, the only ones ''banned'' by Shueisha are Mazinger Z and Shaman King, aren't they?

PD:

Cute.

How is that possible? Aren't there like billions of series in the homeland of mangas?

having been announced it will resume soon,

and the fact that 2 chapters a day are being made available on jump+,

it make sense, it trended on JP twitter and some people might just now find out about it or finally decided to give it a chance.

Anyone got copies in print figures for Stone Ocean? Vento Aureo apparently had 10 million copies in print. It would be ideal if someone could rank each part by their copies in print (part 1-6).

It's not 100%, but that's the best info I could find when I searched about it:

Jump Issue 8# of 2007 (about end of January) gave us print figures for part 1 to 5 (63 volumes) as part of 20th anniversary of JoJo - 43.5 million copies, but no Stone Ocean figures.

About 3 months later, Shuiesha released their first "Shuiesha Media Guide 2007", telling us the Jojo SERIES has 53.27 million copies in print.
By series they mean All part 1 to 6, 11 volumes of part 7, novels and probably other printed media.

Let's say Jojo didn't print anything between those 2 reports:
Giving us a 9,770,000 copies for 17 volumes of Stone Ocean, 11 volumes of Steel Ball Run and other printed media.
We don't know how much SBR sold until 2007, we only got the info 2010 which can't work on number here. That's the closest I could get, hope it helps.
