Really still sells a lot of XD

But who establishes this?

You ?
You need to pay more attention to @MangAniMY 's charts. He posted his Jan chart 2 pages ago and his December charts are here;
https://manganimemalaysia.blogspot.com/2019/01/charting-jump-december-2018.html

Haikyuu has shown clear declining trend since some time now. Volume 26 sold 712k before falling off the monthly chart while Volume 31 sold 553k before falling off the chart. That's a big difference in number.
You can clearly see the declining state of series like Soma and Gintama, how much OP has declined from its peak, the stagnation of BC and Kimetsu, the fact that MHA's growth is also slowing down and the boost that TPN gets.

When people literally take the effort to map out data both numerically and visually, there really isn't any excuse to be lacking in information.

Was sure end of year haikyuu sales have remained stable, fastest selling is not a measure that anyone cares about.

You did not understand as usual.

It was related to the fact that sales could fall because the last arc does not like, hypothesis based on nothing but two three comments on the forum.

yup, year over year Haikyuu total sales (according to oricon at least) for for 2017 and 2018 about stayed the same

2017 ( 5 new volumes ) sold 5,067,939,copies while 2018 (6 new volumes ) sold 5,030,624 copies

although, 2016 (5 new volumes) sold 6,474,394 copies but that is not that far off I guess

Just to clarify.

So, 2016 and 2017 showed a difference of 1.4million copies with the same number of volumes released. Meaning 2017 saw a decline in sales of 1.4 million or on average 280k decline a volume.

And 2017 and 2018, 2018 sold 30k less despite having one extra volume that year (6 volumes) as opposed to 5 volumes in 2017. Meaning again a difference of 150-200k a volume, year to year going by simple average.

How does this not just prove my point that HQ was and is declining?

Because there are plenty examples out there. Take gintama itself. The more serious arcs always did worse sales wise and rank wise. Take bleach, plenty examples in that one series. Take one piece.

If you notice, whenever I talk about popularity, I always say the sales can remain consistent as long as the series retains its quality. Because it doesn't take much for a casual fan to drop a series.

Depends how many weeks that extra volume had in the year. If it was only 1 weeks worth...

Fortunately, digital sales strongly suggest and highly imply that any supposed declines are abated by increasingly relevant sales on digital marketplaces. So haikyuu is growing.

Jeez, it never ceases to amaze me how wonderful the artist's color spreads can be. Even for the weekly chapters, the artists' improvement from chapter 1 until the present has been substantial. She definitely has tremendous potential as she keeps getting more experience

Oh my god.
But it's true.

He mentioned one of my sentences extrapolating it from the context.

Just read more carefully.

Trials?

Above it was affirming that "sales may fall because the last arc does not like".

Based on what is a fact?

You do understand what estimates, projections etc all are, right? They are based on previously available data and trends that are found to be the most common occurance. And based on previously available data and trend like what I mentioned, his assumption wasn't wrong. Lacklustre arcs have led to decline in popularity and sales of many series out there.
