Yui Kamio makes it really hard to keep my "sample a whole volume of chapters before dropping" thing. The worst veteran WSJ mangaka work I have seen since Kagamigami.

Well, a new shounen mag with a mix of Jump and Magazine authors would be something quite interesting for sure kkkkk

I don't think you are are either.
My point is for most of its run now the series has been focused on action which only seems to be amping up. Only the first arc was non action focused.
The series is much of a battle manga as AoT or Chainsaw Man.

It'd be easier to just agree that we have different perspectives on what makes something a battle manga. Being unconventional or having deconstructive tendencies don't change the fact these series are centered around flashy fights.
And again, mine was that it doesn't matter how much of the series is action-focused, that itself is not enough to make it a Battle manga.

Yeah, I think that's basically it, different perspectives and different conditions that need to be applied to manga for us to consider it "battle", we can end it with that.

I was thinking today.. is there a year where more new adaptation of shonen jump manga debuted on anime? This year has Neverland, Kimetsu, Bokuben, Japan and Dr Stone after all, so I wonder if previous years had more than it lol

Well 2006 had Gintama in Spring and Death Note, D.Gray-man, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Busou Renkin in Fall.

Tweet from Jump’s editorial department. Seems like the new Kubo project is just gonna be another advertisement for his involvement in the new Sakura wars game.

Figured as much, tbh. Kubo coming back so soon would be near impossible.

Didn't Kubo already state he's gonna take a long break? Its possible he could change his mind but I wouldnt expect a return anytime soon from him.

Next veteran would be Shimabu. Whether its gonna be Build King or Chingiri, fine with either tbh they got potential.

He was basically joking about the super long break. But, given his health issues, it's very unlikely he'll come back just 2-3 years after Bleach.

I expect him to keep doing small things every now and then tho. Like oneshots and character designs for other things.

I don't think Kubo will return with a new series either. But why announce he's working on a project that's to be revealed in next week's issue, only to announce what it is on Twitter the same day the magazine is released in Japan? Why not just do that from the beginning? It's not like they really think anyone cares about what he's doing with Sakura Wars anyway.
