Well, take it up with SIU then lol. He's the one that purposefully clouded the strength of Molic to the point of very intentionally used, vague words of his strength (in relation to Zahard specifically) to the point that it's not possible to state definitively who is stronger - oh, and the records of such a comparison have been conveniently 'lost' (probably destroyed). So the obscure nature is coming right from the author on this debate
You read too much in between the lines man. SIU was praising jinsung a lot in this post after he was defeated by kallavan saying machenny interrupted etc but the fight was nearly one sided. This is Zahard 's empire the whole story is nested with irregulars,= unbeatable type vibe I hardly see SIU obfuscating it other than just hyping Molic as powerful.

All the more reason he might not be talking to someone in the Workshop. It's like an elder tower luddite or something. Why would ANYONE in the Workshop have such a mentality? That's like someone working at NASA not liking sending people into space...

If the GB's soul purpose was to create human-like machines, I'd agree with you. But it isn't, the GB's purpose is to become a "god of creation" (maybe an axis maybe something above an axis). The point being people are willing to "tolerate" things they don't like if it means reaching their goal, so it is still within reason that this person is a member of GB.

Molic was around before Gustang came along (hence the elder-junior talk). Someone with authority over the tower, working under Zahard's name wouldn't be in a position to 'allow' something?
"The Workshop is an independent organisation not ruled by Zahard and is completely independent" taken from the wiki. So while Molic may be in a position to "allow" many things, his authority doesn't grant him control over the workshop.

Macseth is probably the only one in GB that would have an 'elder'-'kiddo' relationship with Gustang - but you don't think it's him. If you don't think it's him, why assume GB at all?
I admit this is an issue, given that most of the other known higher ups all seem to be artificial. It makes it less likely, but doesn't entirely exclude the possibility. It could be:
A: Programmed to not know they're artificial.
B: Self hating.
C: They aren't "human-like" and therefore dislike those that are out of either envy or perhaps pride.

Or based on what I said in point 1, Macseth himself could still be a candidate, Maybe he is dis-satisfied with his creations, because though human-like, they are still just machines.

Well, delving into speculation, Molic Strikes me as part of the Ancient One that accompanied the 13GW. He wields a Giant Halberd and fights regardless of positions. He is someone the 13GW couldn't take lightly.

Imo, the fragments of that ancient being are:
-Rak: rock Power
-Evankhell: fire Power
-Baek Ryun: plant Power
-Molic One: metal/water (?) Power
-???: Remaining one of the five powers.

And personally I don't see Rak or Evankhell or anyone related to them as under the curtains plotting something. Molic seems like the loyal one to Jahad, I hardly imagine him siding with someone Else. He was given the rule of the Tower, no reason to complain at all.

Zahard went out of his way to get rid of the ancient ones. IIRC he killed them and then went on to curse them for good measure. With that in mind I wouldn't expect molic to be a survivor or something like that. Molic strikes me as someone that was conquered by zahard....

Still, why would Jahad hand him over the Control of the Tower without a good reason to Trust him? He must be loyal to him.

Maybe this is Molic request. He wants to be the only Native One remaining.

Tbh i don't think zahard cares about how the tower is micromanaged. Hence why he delegated everything. He probably expects some level of competence at it but i wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't care in general. He is king regardless. That said, molics attitude in the lore does Hint at him more or less being on Zahards page.

Actually, I changed my mind. Gustang is probably reporting to Headon.

Chapter 340 when he's debriefing someone off-screen and mysterious: "I gave that 'pawn' of yours a gift before coming here"

The only person in the tower that has utilized Rachel as a 'pawn' beyond Gustang himself is Headon.

If Gustang was reporting to Headon on the FoD, he was likely one and the same after the Workshop events in OP. That 'person' would be ancient (one of the few qualified to talk down to Gus) and lamenting about humans (a very un-human like thing to do). Headon seems to fit the bill, IMO.

And if Gus is reporting to Headon then that's pretty interesting. Headon seems to be orchestrating Baam's climb, Rachel as backup 'Pawn' (really to continue to drive Baam up), help deliver the thorns, seeks out Enryu, coordinates with FUG via Akryung and YHS, etc.

Headon, the 'true ruler of the tower' DOES appear to be conspiring with FUG/Gustang/new irregulars against Zahard.

To me the idea of the family heads and zahard "reporting" to headon or any administrator is just weird. They don't seem like the type to be subordinates to anyone. And whoever gustang was talking to certainly did not talk down to gustang. The admins might or not have issues with zahard but them acting directly to do anything seems like a extreme and rare measure so far. As of now the most common was for admins to pull stuff is to not enforce rules at their convenience....

It COULD be Arlene tho, and two different people actually be in contact with him at those times. Headon giving Bam that test on F1 imo wasn't acting against Bam, but simply trying to draw his latent potential, like what happened when he hit Hwaryun to save Rachel. Imo, you could be right that he was talking to Headon on Gongbang, but FoD could be Arlene. Rachel was put alongside Bam in the cave for a reason.

Headon is the only one tampering with Rachel's fate besides Gustang himself. Weird or not, that is the only current entity who checks all the boxes of clues. And if both are actively working against Zahard - as they both appear to be - it wouldn't be that odd at all. Gus even talks about Urek being a wild card.

The person certainly did talk down... not in a condescending way but in a formal older-younger interaction. No different than an elder talking down to you as a young whippersnapper or whatever term they would use.

And it seems you're forgetting all the events surrounding Headon that would qualify as treason in any court. Headon is certainly working against Zahard at some level, as is Gustang.

I don't think Headon was working against Baam; I think he knew exactly who he was/is.

While it COULD be Arlen, we know for a fact that Headon is using Rachel as a pawn. Also, your theory requires Arlen to still be in the tower, which I'm actually open to as well. But if it is Arlen, that's 3 people 'pawning' Rachel - though I do think it is all for the same goal. The story has already given us that Headon is using Rachel though. So, I'm going to give more weight to Headon at this point than an unknown.

In fact I think Arlen was let out by Headon. That is the only certain way out of the tower short of going all the way up, and that exit (if there is one that way) is blocked off. She'd have to leave out the way she came in, and Headon would probably be involved in her doing so. I think Headon is sympathetic to her cause/anti-Zahard at this point.

Also, Gus calls the elder a 'older gentleman' - that wouldn't make sense to be Arlen. It could be Headon as Headon is a sort of anthropomorphic, humanized version of an admin. He seems to be male. And, as an admin, would wax poetic about humanity (which is a sort of alien, observational comment that would naturally come outside of being an actual human).

Also, I'm not sure why it is so weird for you. Gustang is CLEARLY reporting (not sure why you take issue with that word) to someone - several times now. And that individual is certainly much older than him - existed in the tower prior to Gustang who is already 'ancient' by tower standards. We are talking REALLY, REALLY OLD.

Further, you seem to think it's odd for a family head to be doing so - well, beyond the fact we actually SEE Gustang doing just that, reporting, we also know Gustang is actively waging war on Zahard. So, him coordinating with others that have the same goals shouldn't be so much of an alien concept.
